System for jitter recovery from a transcoder

A system for transcoding a digital video stream using a transcoder includes receiving a digital video stream that includes an input video stream and extracting a first set of presentation time stamps from the input video stream which are stored in a table. The system transcodes the input video stream including the first set of presentation time stamps from an initial set of characteristics to a modified set of characteristics including a second set of presentation time stamps that are different from the first set of presentation time stamps. The system processes the second set of presentation time stamps of the transcoded video stream to determine if the second presentation time stamps include jitter, and based upon determining the second set of presentation time stamps include jitter modifying the second set of presentation time stamps based upon the first set of presentation time stamps in the table.

The control signal transmission circuit includes an audio/video interface encoder, a signal packaging circuit and a data allocator. The signal packaging circuit is configured to receive a first control signal and package the first control signal into a control data packet according to the user-defined packet format. The data allocator is configured to receive a video data and a second control signal and to mix the second control signal and the video data to generate a mixed data packet. The audio/video interface encoder packages the control data packet, the mixed data packet and the audio packet according to an audio/video transmission protocol to generate an audio/video and control data.

Methods and systems are provided for encoding audio data from an audio file, wherein the audio data comprises audio samples. Audio data is segmented from the audio file in order to obtain at least one segment. Each segment comprises a time interval of the audio data, and each segment also comprises a plurality of audio samples grouped in frames. A segment index and a description stream containing the segment index is then generated. The segment index comprises the position of the segments within the audio file. A segment stream containing the audio data of one particular segment is then generated. At least part of the audio data is encrypted during the generation of the segment stream with an encryption key.
