TRANSMISSION DEVICE, TRANSMISSION METHOD, RECEPTION DEVICE, AND RECEPTION METHOD
The present technology relates to a transmission device, a transmission method, a reception device, and a reception method that can improve transmission efficiency. An encoded signal is generated based on realtime data indicated by a waveform L using a predetermined fixed bit rate as a maximum code amount Sx and the encoded signal into which non-realtime data with an insufficient code amount is inserted is transmitted at the fixed bit rate, as indicated by a range Z12, when a code amount of the generated encoded signal is insufficient for the maximum code amount Sx. The present technology can be applied to broadcasting communication.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEDIA DELIVERY USING COMMON MEZZANINE DISTRIBUTION FORMAT
A system and method for distributing content in a network architecture using a common intermediary mezzanine distribution format (CMZF). A media content asset may be processed for packaging in a CMZF container structure configured to carry each bitrate representation of the media content in a valid CMZF stream scheme, the media content encrypted in one or more encryption schemes. The CMZF formatted media content may be provided to an origin server for file-based distribution over a network which is of one of the following types; unmanaged network, managed network, or a combination thereof, and/or to a streaming network node for stream-based distribution over a over a network which is of one of the following types; unmanaged network, managed network, or a combination thereof. In one embodiment, the CMZF container structure may be based on an MPEG-TS format extended to facilitate carriage of ISOBMFF track and track metadata data objects in PES payload in additional elementary streams. In another embodiment the CMZF container structure may be based on an MPEG-TS format to facilitate carriage of sample variants in PES payload.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING FAST CHANNEL CHANGE
A system and method for facilitating fast channel change in a streaming media network comprises receiving media content assets packaged in a common mezzanine distribution format (CMZF) container structure, wherein the media content asset is provided as CMZF-formatted media content in a CMZF stream scheme. Upon receipt, the CMZF-packaged media content assets are transformatted into corresponding CMZF segments stored in a local cache corresponding to a plurality of media channels. Responsive to a channel change request from a user equipment (UE) device, a unicast or multicast burst is sent comprising Reliable User Datagram Protocol (R-UDP) packets or Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP)-encapsulated partial or full virtual segments (R-SEG) generated from the CMZF segments corresponding to the requested channel.
METHOD AND TERMINAL FOR ONLINE PLAYING VIDEO STREAM
The disclosure provides a method and a terminal for online playing a video stream. The method includes: Acquiring slice data encrypted slice by slice from a server according to a time parameter of a video slice; Decrypting the acquired slice data to acquire the video slice. And add the video slice to a buffer for online playing. The principle of slicing is applied in the disclosure, it is to slice the original video and encrypt slice by slice to realize online playing and encryption of the video stream. Thus, the disclosure meets the requirements of real-time performance and manipulability, etc.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING VIDEO
Provided is a video processing device and method capable of managing a security level of content included in a video. The video processing method includes: receiving an identifier of a video and information about a security policy to be set to the video; receiving security information related to the security policy; preparing the video by using the received identifier of the video; and updating security information of the prepared video by using the received security information according to the security policy.
TRANSMISSION DEVICE, TRANSMISSION METHOD, AND RECEPTION DEVICE
A predetermined number of pieces of high-quality format image data are successfully transmitted together with basic format image data. A basic video stream including encoded image data of basic format image data and an extended video stream including encoded image data of each of a predetermined number of pieces of high-quality format image data are generated, or a video stream including encoded image data of basic format image data and encoded image data of each of a predetermined number of pieces of high-quality format image data is generated. A container of a predetermined format including the generated video stream is transmitted. Identification information identifying a corresponding format is inserted into the encoded image data of the basic format image data and each of a predetermined number of pieces of high-quality format image data.
Signal processing apparatus and methods
A unified system of programming communication. The system encompasses the prior art (television, radio, broadcast hardcopy, computer communications, etc.) and new user specific mass media. Within the unified system, parallel processing computer systems, each having an input (e.g., 77) controlling a plurality of computers (e.g., 205), generate and output user information at receiver stations. Under broadcast control, local computers (73, 205), combine user information selectively into prior art communications to exhibit personalized mass media programming at video monitors (202), speakers (263), printers (221), etc. At intermediate transmission stations (e.g., cable television stations), signals in network broadcasts and from local inputs (74, 77, 97, 98) cause control processors (71) and computers (73) to selectively automate connection and operation of receivers (53), recorder/players (76), computers (73), generators (82), strippers (81), etc. At receiver stations, signals in received transmissions and from local inputs (225, 218, 22) cause control processors (200) and computers (205) to automate connection and operation of converters (201), tuners (215), decryptors (224), recorder/players (217), computers (205), furnaces (206), etc. Processors (71, 200) meter and monitor availability and usage of programming.
Media streaming
A media playback system for presenting to a user a composition of a plurality of media streams. It has a media selection component configured to receive a scenario dataset, to receive user input for selecting viewing times defining segments of media and composition selections, and to output a list of segments of media from the scenario dataset that are authorized to be viewed by the user. The system has a playback control component configured to retrieve from media storage at least the segments of media from the output list of segments, to decode the segments of media, and to compile composition instructions. The system has a media playback component configured to receive the rendered media and the composition instructions.
