Automatic content recognition (ACR) fingerprinting and video encoding
A processing device and method are disclosed to generate automatic content recognition (ACR) fingerprints. A device can include a processing device to execute a capture daemon. The capture daemon may include a capturer to receive media content from a content feed and to generate content frames of the media content. The capture daemon can also include ACR fingerprinter to generate ACR fingerprint information for the content frames. The ACR fingerprinter may communicate the ACR fingerprint information to an ACR server via a first communication channel. The processing device may determine when the ACR fingerprinter fails; cease communicating the ACR fingerprint information to the ACR server; and restart the ACR fingerprinter.
Synchronization of multiple encoders for streaming content
Systems and methods are described to enable synchronized encoding of streaming audio or video content between multiple encoders, in a manner that provides for seamlessly interchangeable encodings. A first encoding begins encoding streaming content at a first point in time, and at a later point in time, a second encoder is configured to begin encoding the streaming content in a manner synchronized with the first encoder. The second encoder communicates via a synchronization protocol with the first encoder, and receives state information of the first encoder, such as a timecode of the streaming content at which the first encoder began encoding. The second encoder uses the received state information to determine a difference in encoding start times between the first and second encoder, and to adjust its timestamp values to match those of the first encoder. Thereafter, the first and second encoders can encode content in a synchronized manner.
Seamless switching between multicast video streams
A packet-based video network including: two or more video data sources, each configured to launch video data packets onto the network as multicast data packets each associated with a multicast group identifier corresponding to that video data source; and a video data destination configured to receive and process video data from a video data source by joining a multicast group corresponding to that video data source, and execute a switching operation to switch from receiving video data from a first video data source to receiving video data from a second video data source by leaving a multicast group of the first video data source and joining a multicast group of the second video data source. The video data destination is configured to process video data corresponding to a video frame which, at end of a frame period, represents a most recently received video frame from the first video data source.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus for reproducing second content in synchronization with reproduction of first content by a second information processing apparatus different from the information processing apparatus, the first content comprising audio content. The information processing apparatus comprising circuitry configured to: extract a first feature from the audio content; obtain a second feature of the audio content, the second feature being together with the second content; compare the first feature with the second feature; and generate, based on results of the comparing, synchronization information used for reproducing the second content in synchronization with the first content.
Video load balancing and error detection based on measured channel bandwidth
An interconnect apparatus performs real time scoring and data throughput measurement of parallel data channels. The scoring and measurement information is communicated as feedback across the interconnect. Processing circuitry in the interconnect apparatus routes data to channels that have the best performance and reduces the data rate on channels that have lower performance based on the feedback information. This provides a method of dynamic load balancing to achieve optimal video data rates in a dynamic impedance environment. The interconnect apparatus also adjusts phase and data sampling times for improved fidelity of data transported across the interface.
Network system, network management apparatus, and network management method executing setting of a path and parameters
According to the present disclosure, provided is a network system including a plurality of devices and a network management apparatus connected to the plurality of devices by an IP transmission line, and the network management apparatus (100) includes a setting execution unit (116) configured to execute setting of a path to which the plurality of devices are connected, and setting of parameters for controlling the plurality of devices. With this configuration, it is possible to freely set a connection path and devices in a system in which a plurality of devices are connected.
SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD
There is provided a signal input unit to prevent or reduce an increase in memory hardware on a transmitter or a receiver of a serial digital signal, and to decrease the load on a CPU. The signal input unit receives as an input a video signal and a digital signal for transmission, the digital signal for transmission including a data packet with metadata associated with the video signal. The data writing unit extracts predetermined metadata from the digital signal for transmission on the basis of metadata-specifying information and writes the extracted metadata in an accumulating register. For example, the metadata-specifying information includes header information of the data packet with the predetermined metadata. For example, the header information includes classification information indicating a classification for the predetermined metadata and auxiliary information of the predetermined meta-information.
ASYNCHRONOUS SWITCHING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An asynchronous switching system and method for processing SDI data streams, the system and method utilizing one or more buffers for cleaning up an output of a dirty IP switch.
Real time frame alignment in video data
A sensor data processing apparatus can be coupled to multiple image sensors of different types. The apparatus determines a geolocation of areas imaged in each frame or pixel based on sensor geolocation information and encodes the geolocation information in metadata space of the corresponding frame. The apparatus is configured to align edges and/or corners of the frame with edges or corners of adjacent frames based on the geolocation information to stitch together a mosaic or panoramic image without overlapping frames. The apparatus can be figured to stitch together image frame in real time without performing feature registration and without resampling frames.
