Disclosed are a television apparatus and a display method. The television apparatus includes a display configured to display an image, a communication interface configured to communicate with a mobile device and one or more servers, and a controller in connection with the display and the communication interface. The controller is configured to receive authentication information from a second server of the one or more servers, display the authentication information on the display of the display apparatus, receive a display request for displaying an item in actual physical size from the second server, and display the item in actual physical size on the display of the television apparatus.

When the user is watching a television show and an advertisement relating to printer cartridges is being played, the media guidance application may identify that the advertised printer cartridges may be something that the user needs, and may then send a notification to a user of the advertisement. In this way, the media guidance application correlates advertisements from a media asset with a user's actual needs, which may improve the advertisement conversion rate for advertisers.

Methods and systems for load balancing of payment requests among payment gateways by an e-commerce platform. The method may include detecting an anticipated load event and identifying a first payment gateway to be impacted by the anticipated load event, wherein a merchant account is associated with the first payment gateway. The platform may then identify, based on merchant parameters associated with the merchant account, a second payment gateway and, during the anticipated load event, transmit at least some payment requests first to the second payment gateway instead of to the first payment gateway.

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving program content and data describing program content from a content source, and automatically identifying, based on user preferences of a first user, one or more relevant products or services displayed in the program content. Product-related metadata associated with the program content is identified. The product-related metadata including data relating to the one or more relevant products or services displayed in the program content. The program content is communicated to a display device for presentation to a first user in a first portion of the display device, and the product-related metadata is communicated to a second display device for presentation to a second user substantially simultaneously with the presentation of the program content in the first display device. A user commentary is received from the second device, the user commentary generated by the second user and associated with the program content or product-related metadata.
Dynamic binding of video content
A method of dynamically binding supplemental content to video content includes receiving the video content at a device and identifying at least one value related to one or more products or services, where the at least one value is associated with the video content. The method also includes obtaining the supplemental content based on the at least one value, where the supplemental content provides additional information about the one or more products or services. In addition, the method includes dynamically binding the supplemental content to the video content and positioning the supplemental content in association with the video content using a supplemental interactive display.

Additionally, the system effectively coordinates interested users in a beneficial and efficient manner. Further, the system leverages the power of social media. The technology of the system provides a variety of other advantages and features, as are described in detail herein.

Methods of generating recommendations may include obtaining social network data from one or more network resources. Word relationships may be created between selected words in the social network data to produce relationship data. Advertisement or other asset recommendations may be generated for a target user by analyzing browse information of the target user to identify one or more words. Other words in the relationship data may be identified that are related to the words in the target user's browse information. One or more advertisements may be identified having at least one keyword that corresponds to the other words. At least a portion of these advertisements may be selected from a data repository to provide to the target user.
