Video fingerprinting based on Fourier transform of histogram
A content device and method is disclosed to include a processing device to process streaming video content. A fingerprinter receives captured frames of the streaming video content and, for each frame of a plurality of the captured frames, generates a one-dimensional histogram function of pixel values and transforms the histogram function with a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), to generate a plurality of complex values for the frame. The fingerprinter further, for each of the plurality of complex values, assigns a binary one (“1”) when a real part of the complex value is greater than zero (“0”) and assigns a binary zero (“0”) when the real part is less than or equal to zero, to generate a plurality of bits. The fingerprinter further concatenates a specific number of the bits to generate a fingerprint for the frame.
Content delivery system for television broadcast systems
Systems and methods are provided for facilitating the selection of content for a television broadcast system. A first request for content in a broadcasting based format is received from a television broadcast system. A second request for content in a computer based format is sent to a network-based content selection system. A content identifier associated with selected content is received from the network-based content selection system and sent to the television broadcast system.
Flexible interoperability and capability signaling using initialization hierarchy
A method and apparatus include including, in a moving pictures experts group (MPEG) dynamic adaptive streaming over hypertext transfer protocol (DASH) media presentation description (MPD) file, an initialization presentation element that identifies an initialization presentation and one or more initialization groups included in the initialization presentation. An initialization group element that identifies an initialization group and one or more initialization sets included in the initialization group is included in the MPD file. An initialization set element that identifies an initialization set is included in the MPD file. The MPD file is transmitted to a client device.
Media systems and methods including mixed event message tracks
Systems and methods for Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) is provided. A method includes: obtaining an event message track including a plurality of event message boxes, the event message track configured to be processed by a Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) client for displaying media content; obtaining an indicator that indicates each type of the plurality of event message boxes in the event message track; and providing the event message track to the DASH client or displaying media content based on the event message track.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR PERSONALIZING AUDIO CONTENT
The present document describes a method (400) for personalizing audio content. The method (400) comprises receiving (401) a manifest file (140) for the audio content. The manifest file (140) comprises at least one adaptation set (281, 282) referencing an audio bitstream (121), where the audio bitstream (121) comprises a plurality of audio objects (181), and a plurality of different preselection elements (291, 292, 293) for the adaptation set (281, 282), wherein the different preselection elements (291, 292, 293) specify different combinations of the plurality of audio objects (181). The method (400) further comprises selecting (402) a preselection element (291) from the plurality of different preselection elements (291, 292, 293), and causing (403) rendering of an audio signal which depends on the selected preselection element (291).
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, OPERATION METHOD OF IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, AND OPERATION PROGRAM OF IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE
Provided is an image processing device including at least one processor, in which the processor acquires a first performance evaluation value related to performance of a first imaging apparatus of a first user who is one of a plurality of users, acquires a second performance evaluation value related to performance of a second imaging apparatus of a second user different from the first user among the plurality of users, specifies an image of the second user corresponding to the second imaging apparatus having the second performance evaluation value, which is equal to or larger than the first performance evaluation value, from shared images which are limitedly shared by the plurality of users, and sets a presentation priority of a specific image, which is the specified image, to the first user to be higher than presentation priorities of other shared images.
ADAPTIVE CONTENT STREAMING BASED ON BANDWIDTH
Systems and methods for adaptive content streaming based on bandwidth are disclosed. According to one example method, content is requested for delivery. An indication of complexity of a plurality of media content items associated with the content is received. Based on the indication of complexity and an available bandwidth at the user device, at least one of the plurality media content items is selected and retrieved from the media server.
SUBTITLE RENDERING BASED ON THE READING PACE
Systems and methods for summarizing captions, configuring playback speed, and rewriting the caption file for a media asset are disclosed. The system determines whether to display the original captions or a summarized version of the captions, which are based on user's language proficiency level, reading pace, and historical data, and can be generated either on-demand or automatically when rewinds and pauses are detected. The caption file which includes the original captions can be rewritten. The system determines whether to stream a caption or a rewritten file to a media device based on user or system selections. In the absence of a caption file, or when the caption file cannot be summarized, the playback speed of the media asset is slowed down to provide additional reading time to the user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING FOCUSED CONTENT
Systems and methods are provided herein for presenting a focused display of content. A content item is generated for display and an index map is received for the content item. The index map correlates the content item, for example, a region of the content item, to the focused content. A focus indicator can be simultaneously displayed with the content item to inform a viewer of the availability of the focused content. A selection to present the focused content is received and in response, and based on the index map, the focused content is generated for display, thereby enabling a viewer to have a personalized viewing experience.
Systems and methods for creating and navigating broadcast-ready social content items in a live produced video
Systems and methods for incorporating social content items into a produced video are provided. The system presents a producer interface to a user that allows the user to query for social content items. The user may then select and arrange social content items in an on-air queue. In an on-air mode, the system generates a broadcast-ready on-air format of the social content items and provides a video stream including the broadcast-ready social content items in the on-air queue to a video production system. The broadcast-ready social content items are incorporated into a produced video by the video production system. The user may navigate through the social content items in the on-air queue while on camera as part of the produced video.
