Channel scheduling with content placement opportunities and a bidding-based exchange system
A media content packaging and distribution system that handles the distribution of one or more channels, receives a programming schedule of a channel of the one or more channels which includes one or more content placement opportunities (CPOs). At least a CPO from the one or more CPOs, associated metadata, and one or more channel parameters of the channel is communicated to an exchange system to facilitate a bidding procedure to populate the CPO with a media item related to a winning bid in the bidding procedure. The media item related to the winning bid is dynamically inserted at a specified position in a media feed associated with the CPO. A resultant media feed that includes the media item is distributed over a distribution network to be viewed on one or more consumer devices. The media item inserted in the resultant media feed is selected by a bidder associated with the winning bid based on an outcome of the bidding procedure in the exchange system.
WEAVE STREAMING CONTENT INTO A LINEAR VIEWING EXPERIENCE
Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for providing recommendations based on non-streaming content on a media device. In a non-limiting embodiment, an apparatus, such as a media device, may provide recommendations of related streaming content based on non-streaming content retrieved from non-streaming sources and retrieving the streaming content from distributed streaming sources. The media device may monitor a transmission and display of non-streaming content and create a fingerprint of the non-streaming content based on the monitoring. And based on the fingerprint, the media device may generate recommendations of related or similar streaming content that can be retrieved and displayed by the media device.
Incentivizing insertion forecast validation in intelligent insertion of secondary content in live streaming
A non-climactic period is forecasted during a live streaming of a main content, where a likelihood of an occurrence of any climactic event in the non-climactic period is below a threshold likelihood, and where a second content is inserted during the non-climactic period. A validation is requested from a first user of the live streaming, of the forecasted non-climactic period and a first response to the request is received from the first user. Based on the first response, a first rank of the first user is computed relative to another user in a group of responding users. A first dynamic delay period that has an inverse relationship with the first rank is computed for the first user. A first transmission of a future portion of the live streaming to the first user is delayed by at least the first dynamic delay period.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SHARING LIVE STREAM MEDIA CONTENT
A system for sharing timestamped live stream media content can include a controller configured to be communicably coupled to a content delivery network (CDN) and an app on a user system, where the controller includes a database module and a uniform resource identifier (URI) generator, where the controller is configured to: receive a selection of the timestamped live stream media content from the app on the user system; generate a table populated with the selection and other information associated with the selection of the timestamped live stream media content; generate a uniform resource identifier (URI) derived from contents of the table; and send the URI to the app on the user system.
SYSTEM FOR ADJUSTING AN AUDIO/VISUAL DEVICE BASED ON HEALTH AND WELLNESS DATA
A process receives, with a receiver, health and wellness data of a user that is sensed by one or more sensors during consumption by the user of media content. Further, the process receives, with the receiver, health and wellness data of the user that is determined by a healthcare provider during an event that is distinct from the consumption of the media content. In addition, the process aggregates, with a processor, the health and wellness data of the user that is sensed and the health and wellness data of the user that is determined by the health care provider into an aggregated health and wellness data model. The process also determines, with the processor, one or more optimal audio/visual device settings based on the aggregated health and wellness data model.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROMPTING AND INCORPORATING UNSCRIPTED USER CONTENT INTO LIVE BROADCAST PROGRAMMING
Systems and methods for providing interactive live broadcast programming. A system includes an ingest server, a show creation server, and a streaming server. The ingest server is configured to receive, from at least one client device, one or more user generated responses to interaction prompts associated with a live broadcast program and process the received one or more responses for content and/or compatibility with the live broadcast program and store the processed response in a database. The show creation server is configured to generate a segment to be added to an interactive live program by generating a playlist. The streaming server is configured to transcode the interactive live program with the segment into at least one format suitable for display on the display associated with the client device, and transmit the transcoded interactive live program to the respective client device for display.
CROWDSOURCED VOTING VIA INTERACTION BETWEEN CROWDSOURCE CLIENT AND CROWDSOURCED CLIENT INTERFACE
Systems, apparatuses, and methods may provide for technology to conduct contemporaneous crowd-sourced voting via interaction between a client and a client interface.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PLAYING VIDEO BY EACH SEGMENT OF MUSIC
A method of playing a video by a content server according to the present disclosure includes: selecting a music to be played according to a user input; reading information on channels and segments of the selected music to be played; Mapping video segments corresponding to at least one of each channel and each segment to the music to be playing on the basis of the information about channels of the music to be played and segments, and playing the video segments mapped to the music to be played so that the video can be played by each segment of the music.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF SERVER BASED INTERACTIVE CONTENT INJECTION
A method includes receiving, at a media server, a request for a media stream from a client device. The method further includes sending, from the media server, a combined media stream to the client device via a streaming session. The combined media stream includes the requested media stream and interactive content. The interactive content is configured to cause a media player of the client device to display the interactive content concurrently with the media stream.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing device for obtaining content is provided. The information processing device includes circuitry configured to receive audio/video (AV) content via a broadcast signal. The circuitry is configured to receive from a provider of the AV content, provider-side preference, demographic or interest (PDI) information. The provider-side PDI information is associated with further content. The circuitry is configured to obtain user-side PDI information, and determine whether the provider-side PDI information and the user-side PDI information match. The circuitry is configured to obtain the further content when the provider-side PDI information and the user-side PDI information are determined to match, including calling at least one application programming interface (API).
