A media presentation device determines a voice command associated with media content presented by the media presentation device. The media presentation device then listens for and detects utterance of the determined voice command during presentation of the media content, and the media presentation device responds to the detected utterance by performing an action that facilitates user purchase of the good or service associated with the media content segment.

Systems and methods are described herein for highlighting objects with a primary content that are likely to be of interest to a user viewing the primary content. More particularly, when the system receives a segment of primary content to be displayed on a user equipment device for consumption, the system analyzes the received segment to identify an object within the received segment. The system then checks a database storing supplemental content to determine whether supplemental content associated with the identified object is available. When supplemental content associated with the identified object is available within the database, the system modifies the received segment of the primary content to highlight the identified object and displays the modified segment of the primary content on the user equipment device for consumption.

Systems and methods of the present disclosure provide a plurality of audio reactions from a plurality of client devices. The audio reactions are captured by microphones on the client devices and are time-stamped. The method also includes mixing the audio reactions by a mixer server to form a mixed audio reaction, and sending the mixed audio reaction to at least one of the client devices. The client device is adapted to play the mixed audio reaction and a mass media presentation. The mixed audio reaction and the mass media presentation are synchronized to create an audience effect for the mass media presentation. The present technology also provides echo removal, volume balancing, compression, and time stamping of an audio stream by the client device. Reactions from at least one of buttons and gestures to activate synthesized sounds, for example clapping, booing, and cheering, which are mixed into the mixed audio reaction.

A processing system including at least one processor may capture a video of a preparation area for a consumable item, may identify at least one item in the video, the at least one item comprising at least one of: at least one ingredient of the consumable item, or at least one tool for preparing the consumable item, and may identify annotation content for the at least one item. The processing system may then modify the video to generate a modified video that includes a visual marker associated with the annotation content and present the modified video via a device associated with a user to be served the consumable item.
