The method comprises performing an action based on the policy decision.

Concurrent use of multiple protocols on a single radio

A method for concurrent execution of multiple protocols using a single radio of a wireless communication device is provided that includes receiving, in a radio command scheduler, a first radio command from a first protocol stack of a plurality of protocol states executing on the wireless communication device, determining a scheduling policy for the first radio command based on a current state of each protocol stack of the plurality of protocol stacks, and scheduling the first radio command in a radio command queue for the radio based on the scheduling policy, wherein the radio command scheduler uses the radio command queue to schedule radio commands received from the plurality of protocol stacks.

Offline sideloading for enrollment of devices in a mobile device management system

Systems herein allow an administrator to efficiently enroll computing devices into a mobile device management system, even when those computing devices are offline and not connected to the system. A management server can include a console that allows the administrator to enroll an offline computing device by selecting an offline enrollment option on a registration record. This option can cause the management server to create a device record, indicating the computing device is enrolled. The management server can also create and save a provisioning file onto a storage device, such as a USB drive. Assets, such as graphics and applications, specified by the device record are also saved onto the storage device. The storage device can be physically connected to the computing device, at which point the provisioning file guides automatic installation of the assets and implementation of device settings and compliance rules specified by the device record.

Method and system for policy control event exposure

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a policy control event exposure service is provided. The service may include a policy control event exposure service that supports quality of service (QoS)-based event subscription and access and mobility (AM)-based event subscription. The service may notify network function consumers when a QoS-based event or an AM-based event occurs.

MANAGING DISTRIBUTION ACCESS AMONG AND ACROSS MULTIPLE COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
20230327982 · 2023-10-12 ·

Distribution access channels among and across multiple communication networks can be managed. A distribution access management component (DAMC) can monitor communication conditions of communication channels across multiple communication networks employing respective communication technologies. During a data session between a data source device and communication device via a first communication channel associated with a first communication network, and in response to determining a failure of the first communication channel, DAMC can determine whether data traffic of the data session is to be re-routed from the first communication channel to a second communication channel associated with a second communication network based on a policy. If the policy indicates re-routing can be performed, DAMC can facilitate establishing the second communication channel, and data traffic of the data session can be re-routed via the second communication channel until the failure of the first communication channel is remedied.

Policy enforcement in a 3GPP environment while ensuring congestion avoidance on user plane function northbound interfaces

Systems and methods are provided for providing differential treatment to user traffic involving optimized reporting of start and stop traffic. The systems and method can include detecting, at a user plane function, an initiation of a type of traffic being performed at the user plane function, providing, by the user plane function, a start event trigger of the type of traffic detected by the user plane function to a session management function, and receiving, at the user plane function, a policy associated with the type of traffic from the session management function, the policy including instructions preventing submissions of subsequent event triggers to the session management function until an end of the type of traffic, the subsequent event triggers being associated with the type of traffic detected by the user plane function.

APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING AND INFLUENCING QOS LEVELS

The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for improving a mobile network system. In one example method, the apparatus may comprise an Application Function, AF, and a Policy Control Function, PCF, wherein the AF is configured to request the PCF to configure the multiple QoS levels for the session.

TECHNIQUES FOR DATA TRANSMISSION MANAGEMENT
20230292383 · 2023-09-14 ·

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may coordinate and improve data flows between wireless communication networks based on messaging between a modem processor and an application processor. In a first example, the modem processor may control the splitting of traffic between a first wireless communication network (e.g., a cellular network) and a second wireless communication network (e.g., a Wi-Fi network). The modem processor may establish a multiple access session (e.g., a multiple access protocol data unit session) that includes a session for each wireless communication network, and route traffic (e.g., communications with a network entity) based on access traffic steering, switching, and splitting (ATSSS) rules. In a second example, the application processor may control the traffic splitting. The application processor may obtain the ATSSS rules from the modem processor, and route traffic accordingly.
