Embodiments of the invention are directed to an integrated optogenetic device. The integrated optogenetic includes a substrate layer having a first substrate region and a second substrate region. The device further includes a first contact formed over the substrate layer in the first substrate region and a second contact layer formed over the substrate layer in the second region. In addition, the device includes a light-emitting diode (LED) structure communicatively coupled to the first contact layer and a biosensor element communicatively coupled to the second contact layer. The first contact layer is configured to operate as a bottom contact that provides electrical contact to the LED structure. The first contact layer is further configured to be substantially lattice matched with the substrate layer and a bottom layer of the LED structure.

A metal oxide film including a crystal part and having highly stable physical properties is provided. The size of the crystal part is less than or equal to 10 nm, which allows the observation of circumferentially arranged spots in a nanobeam electron diffraction pattern of the cross section of the metal oxide film when the measurement area is greater than or equal to 5 nm and less than or equal to 10 nm.

Upper-layer film forming composition and method for producing a phase-separated pattern
An overlay film-forming composition used to cause phase separation to a block copolymer-containing layer formed on a substrate, the composition including: (A) a copolymer that includes (a) a unit structure derived from maleimide structure and a unit structure derived from styrene structure; and (B) an ether compound having 8-16 carbon atoms as a solvent. The overlay film-forming composition exhibits good solubility with respect to a hydrophobic solvent, and is able to induce vertical alignment of a block copolymer without causing dissolution, swelling, and the like of the block copolymer-containing layer formed on the substrate.
Sulfur-containing thin films
In some aspects, methods of forming a metal sulfide thin film are provided. According to some methods, a metal sulfide thin film is deposited on a substrate in a reaction space in a cyclical process where at least one cycle includes alternately and sequentially contacting the substrate with a first vapor-phase metal reactant and a second vapor-phase sulfur reactant. In some aspects, methods of forming a three-dimensional architecture on a substrate surface are provided. In some embodiments, the method includes forming a metal sulfide thin film on the substrate surface and forming a capping layer over the metal sulfide thin film. The substrate surface may comprise a high-mobility channel.

The barrier layer encapsulates the first adhesion layer and includes silicon oxynitride, wherein the atomic number ratio of oxygen to nitrogen in silicon oxynitride of the barrier layer has a second ratio that is different from the first ratio. The second adhesion layer encapsulates the barrier layer and includes silicon oxynitride, wherein the atomic number ratio of oxygen to nitrogen in silicon oxynitride of the second adhesion layer has a third ratio that is different from the second ratio.
