Intubation device
An intubation device for use in an endotracheal intubation procedure includes: a laryngoscope blade having a tip and a base; a handle attached to the base of the blade; a channel, the channel including a blade channel portion extending along the blade substantially from the tip to the base and including an outlet proximate to the tip and a handle channel portion extending partially along the handle from the blade channel portion; and a tube movement mechanism in the handle, the tube movement mechanism including a thumb interface.
PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY IMAGING
A photodynamic treatment device treating a patient's cervix opening with light that causes selected tissue to fluoresce and imaging the tissue while the treatment is in progress without affecting the treatment.
ASPIRATION ENDOSCOPE DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present technology relates to endoscope devices and methods of use for said endoscope devices. In one embodiment, the device comprises a semicircular aspiration channel with a blocking bar disposed at an outlet of the semicircular aspiration channel to prevent clogging of said channel. The endoscope devices of the present invention may further comprise a plurality of working channels, an image sensor, and a light source. In addition, for work within the ureter, a force sensor is incorporated to ensure safe passage of the largest flexible ureteroscope.
VAGINAL SPECULUM
A speculum includes an upper bill, a lower bill downwardly of the upper bill, a yoke moveably joining the upper bill to the lower bill, and a ratchet to hold the upper bill and lower bill at a position relative to each other, the ratchet including teeth facing upwardly to selectively hold the upper bill and lower bill. When the ratchet is moved downwardly, the upper bill may pivot freely on the yoke. When the ratchet is moved upwardly, the upper bill is fixed against pivoting. In an example, the yoke includes a pivot about which the upper bill pivots when the ratchet allows and holds the upper bill in position against pressure on the upper bill. A latch prevents the yoke from being removed from the lower bill. Guides allow the upper bill move vertically on the lower bill through the yoke.
Intubation Device
An intubation device for use in an endotracheal intubation procedure, the intubation device including: a laryngoscope blade having a tip and a base; a handle attached to the base of the blade for allowing the intubation device to be held in a hand of a user; a channel for receiving an endotracheal tube, the channel including a blade channel portion extending along the blade substantially from the tip to the base and including an outlet proximate to the tip for allowing a distal end of the endotracheal tube to be advanced from the outlet and a handle channel portion extending partially along the handle from the blade channel portion; and a tube movement mechanism in the handle for moving the endotracheal tube through the channel to thereby advance the endotracheal tube, the tube movement mechanism including a thumb interface for allowing the user to operate the tube movement mechanism using a thumb of the hand that is holding the intubation device, to thereby allow the user to hold the intubation device and advance the endotracheal tube in an endotracheal intubation procedure using a single hand.
BATTERY ASSEMBLY FOR MEDICAL INSTRUMENT AND MEDICAL INSTRUMENT UNIT
A battery assembly for a medical instrument that an operator can grip by a hand and operate, includes: a battery including a first laminated body unit including a solid electrolyte layer and configured to generate electrical energy; a casing including a wall section configured to store the battery inside; and a support provided in the casing and configured to support the battery apart from the wall section in a lamination direction of the first laminated body unit.
ENDOSCOPE DESIGNS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
Various embodiments comprise endoscopes (e.g., arthroscopes) for viewing inside a cavity of a body. The endoscopes may include a tip, at least one solid-state emitter such as light emitting diode (LED), located at the distal end of the endoscope, an elongated member. The elongated member may include a plurality of lenses for transmitting light received from the tip member and an elongated conducting member for providing electric power to the solid-state emitter. The elongated conducting member may include conducting lines embedded in a flexible elongated insulating membrane. The tip member and the elongated member may be configured to dissipate heat generated by the solid-state emitter.
LED light hub for laryngoscope
A handle mounted light hub for a laryngoscope, the light hub comprising a depressible switch, a light source, and an electrical contact, wherein the switch moves the electrical contact into contact with a power source causing current to flow to power the light source and wherein when depressed, the switch exposes the illuminated light source.
Apparatus, device and method for capsule microscopy
An exemplary apparatus for obtaining data for at least one portion within at least one luminal or hollow sample can be provided. For example, the apparatus can include a first optical arrangement configured to transceive at least one electromagnetic radiation to and from the portion(s). The apparatus can also include a wavelength dispersive second arrangement, which can be configured to disperse the electromagnetic radiation(s). A housing can be provided with a shape of a pill, and enclosing the first and second arrangements.
OBSERVATION DEVICE AND OBSERVATION SYSTEM
[Object] To make it possible to more stably perform communication. [Solution] There is provided an observation device including: an image shooting unit composed of a first housing and configured to capture an image of a surgical site of a patient; and a communication unit composed of a second housing disposed away from the first housing, and configured to wirelessly transmit, to an external device, image information on the surgical site the image of which is captured by the image shooting unit.
