VISUALIZING AN ORGAN USING MULTIPLE IMAGING MODALITIES COMBINED AND DISPLAYED IN VIRTUAL REALITY
A system including first and second camera assemblies, and a processor. The first camera assembly includes a first camera producing, in a first imaging modality, a first image of an organ acquired from a first angle, and a first position sensor, producing a first position signal indicative of a first position and a first orientation, of the first camera. The second camera assembly includes a second camera, producing, in a second imaging modality, a second image of the organ acquired from a second angle, and a second position sensor, producing a second position signal indicative of a second position and a second orientation, of the second camera. The processor registers between the first and second images based on the first and second position signals and displays, based on the first and second images, a third image including a combination of at least part of the first and second images.
Device for visualizing an interior of a patient's mouth
The device for visualizing the interior of a patient's mouth, includes a camera for taking an optical imprint of organs arranged in the mouth. The device includes augmented reality glasses having an optical glass through which a user of the glasses can see the inside of the mouth, and a visualization camera taking an image of what the user sees through the optical glass. First images corresponding to those taken by the visualization camera are correlated with second images corresponding to those taken by the camera for taking an optical imprint, whereby the second images can be projected onto the optical glass.
DETERMINING CHARACTERISTIC OF BLOOD COMPONENT WITH HANDHELD CAMERA
A characteristic of a blood product in a blood product container is determined. Using a smartphone, an image is acquired of a blood bag or tubing of the blood product container disposed in front of the smartphone. The image is processed using a processing circuit of the smartphone or a remote computer in wireless communication with the smartphone. The processing identifies a characteristic of the blood product from the image. A visual notification is generated on a display of the smartphone of the identified characteristic of the blood product.
MEDICAL ENDOSCOPE DEVICE AND MEDICAL OBSERVATION SYSTEM
There is provided a medical endoscope device including: an encoding processing unit configured to compression-encode RAW image data of a medical captured image of an observation target captured by an imaging device that is inserted into a body of a patient and captures an image of an inside of the body; and a transmission unit configured to wirelessly transmit the compression-encoded RAW image data.
Medical observation apparatus
A medical observation apparatus includes: a display unit that displays thereon an observation image corresponding to a result of examination on a subject; a first camera that performs imaging of plural persons surrounding the subject, and outputs a surrounding image; a selecting unit that selects, based on the surrounding image, an indicator from the plural persons; a line of sight detecting unit that detects a line of sight of the indicator; and a display control unit that causes the display unit to display thereon a superimposed image having a pointer superimposed on the observation image, the pointer being at a position according to a destination of the line of sight of the indicator.
MEDICAL DEVICE WITH CAMERA FOR IMAGING DISPOSABLE
A method of recording a state of an apheresis machine or a dialysis machine having a disposable component disposed thereon. The disposable component has tubing and a blood component bag. The disposable component is configured to be installed on the apheresis device or dialysis machine by a human operator. The method includes acquiring with a camera an image of a forward-facing external surface portion of the apheresis machine or dialysis machine and the tubing and the blood component bag of the disposable component. The image is acquired automatically without requiring user input. The method includes recording medical device information for the apheresis machine or dialysis machine comprising the image. The method includes generating a message comprising the image and transmitting the message comprising the image to a remote computer.
METHODS OF USING AN ANGLED ENDOSCOPE FOR VISUALIZING A BODY CAVITY WITH ROBOTIC SURGICAL SYSTEMS
A method of visualizing a body cavity during a surgical procedure including positioning an elongated body of an angled endoscope in a first position within a body cavity of a patient, rotating the elongated body about a longitudinal axis in response to a command point, capturing a plurality of images with an image capture device positioned within the elongated body as the elongated body is rotated, and generating a panoramic view of the body cavity from the plurality of images. In the first position of the elongated body, a surgical site is within a field of view of the image capture device. The field of view of the image capture device capturing a first volume of the body cavity, including the surgical site, when the angled endoscope is in the first position.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR ATTACHING AN OTOSCOPE
A device for attaching an optical element, such as an otoscope, to a smart phone for diagnosing and/or identifying problems of an outer ear, a middle ear, and/or an ear canal of a patient. The device may comprise a main body. The main body may comprise an aperture and a first engagement member configured to engage with a second engagement structure that belongs to the optical element. A first surface may be connected to the main body and configured may be to contact a first smart phone surface. A piston may be provided that may comprises a second surface that may be parallel to the first surface and may be configured to contact a second smart phone surface. A threaded knob may be provided and may be connected to the piston through the aperture.
Medical visualization system
A medical visualisation system including a first medical visualisation device having a first device colour identifier, a second medical visualisation device having a second device colour identifier, a third medical visualisation device having a third device colour identifier, and a monitor device, the first device colour identifier being a first colour, the second device colour identifier being a second colour, and the third device colour identifier being a third colour. The first colour has a first hue angle, the second colour has a second hue angle, and the third colour has a third hue angle, wherein the first hue angle and the second hue angle differ by more than 40 degrees, the second hue angle and the third hue angle differ by more than 40 degrees, and the third hue angle and the first hue angle differ by more than 40 degrees.
Video processing apparatus
A connector ring includes a retention portion; an intermediate portion; and a plug hood made of a flexible material, the intermediate portion connecting the retention portion to the plug hood, wherein the retention portion and the plug hood are larger in cross-section than the intermediate portion in at least one radial extent. The connector ring can be removably attached to a video processing apparatus through an aperture in a wall of the video processing apparatus.
