A battery cell may include an electrolyte, a first electrode including a first electrode layer and a first current collector, a second electrode including a second electrode layer and a second current collector, a separator interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and at least one protective layer. For example, a protective layer may be interposed between the first electrode layer and the first current collector, the second electrode layer and the second current collector, the separator and the first electrode, and/or the separator and the second electrode. When activated, the one or more protective layers may reduce or interrupt current flow through the battery cell. The composition of the one or more protective layers may include one or more small molecule additives to increase its stability and conductivity, thus improving the performance as well as the safety profile of the battery cell.

A solid electrolyte composition includes: an inorganic solid electrolyte; binder particles having an average particle size of 1 nm to 10 μm; and a dispersion medium, in which the binder particles include a polymer that includes a component derived from a polymerizable compound having a molecular weight of lower than 1,000, and the component includes at least one of an aliphatic hydrocarbon chain to which 10 or more carbon atoms are bonded or a siloxane structure as a side chain of the polymer. The solid electrolyte composition is used in the sheet for an all-solid state secondary battery, the electrode sheet for an all-solid state secondary battery, the all-solid state secondary battery, the method of manufacturing a sheet for an all-solid state secondary battery, and the method of manufacturing an all-solid state secondary battery.
Anode material, anode and electrochemical device comprising the anode material
An anode material having 0.8≤0.06×(Dv50).sup.2−2.5×Dv50+Dv99≤12 (1); and 1.2≤0.2×Dv50−0.006×(Dv50).sup.2+BET≤5 (2), where Dv50 represents a value in the volume-based particle size distribution of the anode material that is greater than the particle size of 50% of the particles, Dv99 represents a value in the volume-based particle size distribution of the anode material that is greater than the particle size of 99% of the particles, and BET is a specific surface area of the anode material, wherein Dv50 and Dv99 are expressed in μm and BET is expressed in m.sup.2/g. The anode material is capable of significantly improving the rate performance of electrochemical devices.

A purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing, etc., a member for an electrochemical device in which the problem of irreversible change in the composition of the electrochemical device due to solvent depletion, moisture absorption, etc., during manufacturing of the electrochemical devices is unlikely to occur. This method for manufacturing a member for an electrochemical device includes performing at least one shaping operation described in the present specification on a shaping material composition that comprises: at least one filler (F); a plasticizer (P-S), being water, an ionic liquid, or a mixture thereof; and a polymer (P1), the shaping material composition being substantially free of an organic solvent and having plasticity and self-supporting property.
POSITIVE ELECTRODE PLATE AND ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE
The present invention relates to a positive electrode plate and an electrochemical device. The positive electrode plate comprises a current collector, a positive active material layer and a safety coating disposed between the current collector and the positive active material layer, and wherein the safety coating comprises a polymer matrix, a conductive material and an inorganic filler and wherein when the safety coating and the positive active material layer are collectively referred as a film layer, the film layer has an elongation of 30% or more and wherein the polymer matrix of the safety coating is fluorinated polyolefin and/or chlorinated polyolefin having a crosslinked structure. The positive electrode plate may improve the safety performance during nail penetration of the electrochemical device such as capacitor, primary battery or secondary battery and the like.

A method for forming at least one electrode, said method comprising: a) providing an electronically conductive, inert material; b) cutting the substrate material to form at least one current collector; c) placing at least one current collector on a carrier; d) applying one or more protection layers to one or both sides of the current collector to form a coated electrode; and e) removing the electrode from the carrier.

A positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode plate, a battery, a battery module, a battery pack, and an apparatus including the positive electrode current collector are provided. In some embodiments, a positive electrode current collector is provided, including an organic support layer and an aluminum-based conductive layer disposed on at least one surface of the organic support layer, where the aluminum-based conductive layer contains Al and at least one modifying element selected from O, N, F, B, S, and P, an XPS spectrogram of the aluminum-based conductive layer with a surface passivation layer removed through etching has at least a first peak falling in a range of 70 eV to 73.5 eV and a second peak falling in a range of 73.5 eV to 78 eV, and a ratio x of peak intensity of the second peak to that of the first peak satisfies 0<x≤3.0.

A battery system comprising: an anode composed of a non-toxic biocompatible metal; a first printable carbon-based current collector comprising biocompatible multiple few layer graphene (FLG) sheets in electrical contact with and extending from the anode; a three-dimensional (3D) hierarchical mesoporous carbon-based cathode including an open porous structure configured to catalyze an active material via gas diffusion; a polymer-based barrier film deposited on the 3D hierarchical mesoporous carbon-based cathode, the polymer-based barrier film configured to prevent oxygen from entering the open porous structure while deposited on the 3D hierarchical mesoporous carbon-based cathode; a second printable carbon-based current collector comprising biocompatible multiple few layer graphene (FLG) sheets in electrical contact with and extending from the cathode; and an electrolyte layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, the electrolyte layer configured to activate the battery system when released into one or both of the anode and the cathode.
ELECTRODE MANUFACTURING METHOD, ELECTRODE CURRENT COLLECTOR, AND ELECTRODE
An electrode is manufactured by forming an active material layer on a surface of an electrode current collector, forming a groove portion on a surface of the active material layer, and peeling off a part of the active material layer. An electrode current collector includes a metal foil and an adhesive layer. The metal foil includes a first region and a second region. The adhesive layer covers the first region. In the second region, the metal foil is exposed. The active material layer includes a first portion that covers the adhesive layer and a second portion that covers the second region. The groove portion is formed in each of the first portion and the second portion. The second portion is peeled off.
ALL SOLID STATE BATTERY
A main object of the present disclosure is to provide an all solid state battery wherein interface resistance between a current collector and an active material layer is low. In the present disclosure, the above object is achieved by providing an all solid state battery comprising: an electrode including a current collector, an electron conductive layer, and an active material layer, in this order, and a solid electrolyte layer formed on the active material layer side of the electrode, and the electron conductive layer is an agglutinate of metal particles or a metal foil, and electron conductivity of the electron conductive layer is 1×10.sup.3 S/cm or more at 25° C.
