Disclosed is a device for treating uterine bleeding, the device comprising a shaft having proximal and distal ends, with one or more lumens therethrough, a deployable sleeve at the distal end and/or an occlusive flange between the proximal and distal ends. The device is useful in a method of treating uterine bleeding comprising inserting the distal end of the device into a patient's uterus, deploying the sleeve, and/or deploying and locking the flange against the cervix, and introducing a treatment fluid through a lumen in the shaft. An example treatment fluid may be a sclerotherapeutic agent or a saline solution.

Organ enclosures for inhibiting tumor invasion and detecting organ pathology

An enclosure provides a prophylactic barrier that may be permeable to gases, hormones, proteins, and peritoneal fluid, but restrains tumor cells within the enclosure so as to inhibit ovarian cancer invasion of adjacent tissue, and increase the speed of diagnosis of ovarian dysplasia, including cancer. The enclosure includes one or more of fiducial markers, heat sensors, and blood flow reflectors, which may be imaged non-invasively in order to detect conditions or pathology affecting the ovary. The enclosure may also include an access port that permits sampling of the enclosure's contents to further aid in detecting or treating conditions or pathology affecting the ovary.

Method and system for monitoring internal bodily disorders by detecting and analyzing tissue frequencies
11806161 · 2023-11-07 · ·

A tissue disorder monitoring system includes at least two electrodes constructed and arranged to obtain analog electrical signals from a patient. An amplifier amplifies the analog electrical signals. Filter structure filters the amplified analog electrical signal. An A/D converter converts the amplified and filtered analog electrical signals to digitized electrical signals. A microprocessor circuit is constructed and arranged to execute an application that analyzes the digitized electrical signals to identify and to determine treatment data including a specific location and/or propagation of disordered tissue within the patient. A transmitter transmits data in a wireless manner. A power supply powers the device. A method locating disordered tissue in a patient is also disclosed.

Vagina evaluation device and uterus evaluation device

A non-invasive and accurate vagina evaluation device and uterine evaluation devices are provided that measure the receptivity (uterine implantation capacity) of the mother's body to a fertilized egg implanting itself into the uterus. A first vagina evaluation device includes: a main body stretchable and expandable after insertion into a vagina, followed by air injection thereinto; four electrodes brought into contact with the vagina wall as the main body expands and stretches; and fixation means configured to fix the interval of arrangement of the electrodes. Second and third uterine evaluation device include: a flexible and rod-shaped main body for insertion into a uterine cavity; and four or two impedance electrodes arranged with a predetermined interval therebetween in an insertion direction of the main body and brought into contact with an endometrium of the uterine cavity to measure a uterine endometrial impedance generated between the endometrium and each of the electrodes.

Monitoring system

A monitoring system is described which comprises a sensor device for generating sensor data, the sensor device having a secondary coil, and a receiver device having a controller, and a primary coil for wirelessly communicating with the sensor device, the receiver device being operable to wirelessly charge the sensor device via inductive coupling between the primary and secondary coils. A quality factor of the primary coil is controllable, and the controller is operable to control the quality factor of the primary coil to be higher when the receiver device is wirelessly charging the sensor device than when the receiver device is receiving sensor data from the sensor device. As a result, the same coil can be used both for efficient power transfer (wireless charging) by using the coil in a (relatively) high quality factor mode, and for reliable data communications by using the coil in a (relatively) low quality factor mode.

Systems and methods for evaluating the integrity of a uterine cavity

A system for accessing a patient's uterine cavity and detecting perforations in the uterus includes an elongated probe having a flow channel extending to a terminal outlet in a distal region of the probe. A fluid source is coupled to the flow channel, and a seal on the probe is positionable in an endocervical canal. The probe may be trans-cervically inserted into the uterine cavity, and a fluid may be introduced through the channel to flow outwardly from the terminal outlet into the uterine cavity. A parameter of said fluid flow is monitored to detect a perforation in the uterus.

A method for providing artifact detection and visualization during ultrasound image collection is performed by a processor in an ultrasound system. The method includes receiving ultrasound image data from an ultrasound probe, detecting areas with artifacts in the ultrasound image data, classifying the areas with artifacts into one of a plurality of available artifact classes, generating an indication of the areas with artifact for an ultrasound-based image, wherein the indications include a designation of the artifact class, and presenting to an operator the ultrasound-based image and the indication of the areas with artifacts.

MENSTRUAL CYCLE TRACKING

Methods, systems, and devices for menstrual cycle phase identifier are described. A system may be configured to receive physiological data collected over a plurality of days, where the physiological data includes at least temperature data. Additionally, the system may be configured to determine a time series of temperature values taken over the plurality of days where the time series includes a plurality of menstrual cycles for the user.
