A biological signal detection apparatus includes a neck band worn by a user along a circumferential direction of a neck of the user and a pair of sensors mounted to both ends of the neck band to detect a biological signal. Each sensor includes a conductive cloth with a planar or substantially planar shape, a main body on which the conductive cloth is set, a frame body that holds a periphery of the conductive cloth between the main body and the frame body, and an input terminal provided on a surface of the main body that opposes the frame body.

BIOSIGNAL MEASUREMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD

A biosignal measurement apparatus comprises a data processing unit, and a first sensor, which is attachable to a surface of a body section at or adjacent to ribs and/or a neck and configured to convert movement pulses of the body section caused by muscular work of a heart at systolic and diastolic phases into pulses of an electric signal. The data processing unit receives the electric signal from the first sensor, and forms and outputs data about blood pressure on the basis of a characteristic feature of at least one of the movement pulses associated with the systolic phase and/or a characteristic feature of at least one of the movement pulses associated with the diastolic phase.

System and method for activity monitoring and fall detection

Devices and methods of using a personal emergency reporting system device is described. The personal emergency reporting system (PERS) device wakes up based on timing, manual activation or an accelerometer in the PERS device detecting an abnormal condition. The PERS device measures the orientation and correlate and sends statistics to a console. The PERS device determines whether a predetermined threshold has been met to determine whether a fall event has occurred or whether to enter a more active monitoring state. The PERS device also determines whether it is appropriate to transmit an alarm to a central monitoring station via the console and transmits the alarm if desired.

APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR TISSUE OXIMETRY AND PERFUSION IMAGING

A compact perfusion scanner and method of characterizing tissue health status are disclosed that incorporate pressure sensing components in conjunction with the optical sensors to monitor the level of applied pressure on target tissue for precise skin/tissue blood perfusion measurements and oximetry. The systems and methods allow perfusion imaging and perfusion mapping (geometric and temporal), signal processing and pattern recognition, noise cancelling and data fusion of perfusion data, scanner position and pressure readings.

A collar with an ultra-wideband radar is described. A housing contains sensor electronics and the transmit and receive antennas are located separate from the housing around the circumference of the collar. A first example of the collar includes a first transmit antenna and a first receive antenna. A second example of the collar adds a second transmit antenna and a second receive antenna.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED TREMOR MANAGEMENT, TRACKING AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Systems and methods of the present disclosure include a five-layer environment consisting tremor management hardware, interface, control system, machine learning environment and cloud capabilities. These elements come together to implement program instructions and perform steps to: receive sensory data elements(s) for tremor stat(s), physiological and/or environmental state(s) of the user, user activities and state(s) of the tremor management hardware and based on these state(s) generate at least one actionable tremor mitigation action associated with historical tremor mitigation improvements recorded in a memory, and display at a user computing device the at least one actionable tremor mitigation action to a user, a healthcare provider, or both.

APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR DETECTING THE POSTURE OF THE ANATOMY OF A PERSON

An apparatus can be used in the detection and correction of the posture of a person's anatomy and particularly, although not necessarily exclusively, the posture of a person's neck; The apparatus includes a device to be worn, such as at the rear of the neck of a person, and the device includes a frame having first and second ends and at least one sensor to detect the tilt angle of a predefined plane and processing means to determine whether the detected tilt angle is within a predetermined range of acceptable positions; The apparatus, when worn, has a plurality of contact points with the wearer.

Method for detecting blockage in a fluid flow vessel

A method for measuring sound from vortices in the carotid artery comprising: a first and second quality control provisions, wherein the quality control compares detected sounds to pre-determined sounds, and upon confirmation of the quality control procedures, detecting sounds generated by the heart and sounds from vortices in the carotid artery for at least 30 seconds. A method for determining stenosis of the carotid artery in a human patient consisting of a first step of placing a sensing device comprising an array and three sensing elements onto the patient, wherein a first sensing element is placed near the heart and the two remaining sensing elements are placed adjacent to the carotid arteries; the sensing elements then measure sounds from each of the three sensing elements, resulting in sound from three channels. The sound is measured in analog and modified to digital format and then each of the three channels are analyzed before a power spectral density analysis is performed. The power spectral density graph reveals peaks that are not due to noise, that are then analyzed to provide for a calculation of percent stenosis or complete occlusion of the carotid artery.
