DETECTION OF PATENT DUCTUS ARTERIOSUS USING PHOTOPLETHYSMOGRAPHY
Methods and systems are described for detecting the likelihood of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in an infant using electrocardiogram and photoplethysmographic pulse signals obtained from the upper body and foot of the infant.
Conductive human interfaces
A conductive human interface has a fabric layer with an interior surface and an exterior surface. A soft coating overlies the interior surface of the fabric layer. An electrode or sensor is included to connect with a residual limb. A conductive path connects the electrode or sensor with an electrical connector which, in turn connects with a prosthetic or other assistive device. The conductive path includes a conductor having a section overlying the fabric layer. The overlying section of the conductor can be cord of conductive thread. A nonconductive support thread can extend through the fabric layer from the exterior surface to the interior surface, and further around the conductor to secure the overlying section of the conductor to the fabric layer.
NON-UNIFORM ELECTRODE SPACING WITH A BEND SENSOR
A multibend sensor has a plurality of electrodes located along the sliding or reference strip that are not uniformly paced. More electrodes can be placed in those regions where more precise measurements of movement are desired. To save costs fewer electrodes need to be placed in regions where there is no need to measure the bending.
DETERMINING A LEVEL OF OXYGENATION OF ONE OR MORE CELLS
An embodiment of a cell-oxygenation monitoring system includes a probe and a base. The probe is connectable to the base, configured to direct electromagnetic energy having wavelengths in an approximate range of 400 nm-900 nm into a body having at least one cell, and configured to receive a portion of the electromagnetic energy redirected by the body during a time. The base includes a generator configured to generate the electromagnetic energy during the time, and a computing circuit configured to determine, in response to the portion of redirected electromagnetic energy, a level of oxygenation of one or more of the at least one cell.
STRETCHABLE DEVICE, DISPLAY PANEL, SENSOR, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A stretchable device includes a stretchable substrate having a plurality of incision lines that are configured to be deformable by an external force applied to the stretchable substrate, a plurality of active elements on the stretchable substrate, and a connection wire configured to electrically connect adjacent active elements of the plurality of active elements, wherein the connection wire includes a metal wire and a conductive elastic structure electrically connected to the metal wire and locally disposed in the connection wire.
Multimodal strain sensor and method
There is a viscoelastic strain sensor that includes a sensing layer including a viscoelastic material, the viscoelastic material including a viscoelastic hydrogel and a conductive nanofiller. The viscoelastic material has a fractional resistance change that increases with an increase of an applied tensile strain, and the viscoelastic material has a fractional resistance change that decreases with an applied compressional strain.
A TERAHERTZ BIOMETRIC IMAGING PACKAGE
The present invention relates to a terahertz biometric imaging package comprising: an image sensor comprising an antenna pixel array arranged to detect terahertz radiation transmitted from an object, for capturing an image, each antenna pixel comprises a power detector including an antenna structure for receiving terahertz radiation, wherein the power detector is configured to convert a detected terahertz radiation to a sensing signal at a lower frequency than the frequency of the terahertz radiation, a package top cover arranged to cover the antenna pixel array, wherein the image sensor is configured to capture a terahertz image of an object located on an opposite side of the package top cover, a package bottom part arranged on the other side of the antenna pixel array opposite from the package top cover, wherein the antenna pixel array is encapsulated between the package top cover and the package bottom part.
OPTIMISED THERMOCHROMATIC MATERIALS
This invention relates to optimisation of the temperature range of thermochromic liquid crystal materials and to related methods and devices for temperature monitoring and measurement. The invention also relates to methods and devices for the improved registering of objects in contact with thermochromic liquid crystal materials.
Flexible circuit package
A flexible circuit package. The circuit package includes a termination point on a flexible base substrate. The termination point is connected with an interface by conductive material on the base substrate. The conductive material extends across the surface area of the base substrate in multiple individual connections, which are in communication with each other and separated by voids in the conductive material for mitigating communication failure between the termination point and the interface during or following flexion, stretching, compression or other deformation of the base substrate and the circuit package. The termination point may include an input module such as a sensor, switch or other input. The termination point may include an output module such as a light, vibrator or other output. The interface may include an output interface for receiving data or an input interface for sending a command or other signal.
Method for predicting miscarriage and iInfertility before or after conception - us bi patent #6,347,634 as of reference
A method of increasing the probability that a woman and/or a father will conceive either INFERTILITY or MISCARRIAGE before or after conception, comprising the steps of determining an infrared body temperature of the mother, determining an infrared body temperature of the father, categorizing the determined infrared body temperatures of the mother and the father as either “very extremely low” (Infertility) or “very extremely high” (Miscarriage) according to a predetermined categorization criteria, and correlating the stress level of the mother and the father according to a correlation where in the case of very extremely low temperature for either or both the mother and the father, the probability of INFERTILITY, according to a predetermined categorization criteria, and correlating the stress level of the mother and the father according to a correlation where in the case of very extremely high temperature for either or both the mother and the father, the probability of MISCARRIAGE. The information derived is applied by using sex probabilities according to the criteria where procuring conception of the “stillborn child” (Miscarriage) or “not exited” (Infertility) without alteration of the infrared body temperature of the mother and father if the indicated probability of not conceiving a child, or procuring conception of stillborn baby after alerting the infrared body temperatures of mother and/or father to increase the indicated probability of not conceiving an alive child of either of
