A device for treating an aneurysm of a human or mammal patient, wherein the aneurysm may self-expand, leading to the aneurysm bursting with high risk for death of the human or mammal patient. The device comprising an implantable member adapted to be placed in connection with the outside of a blood vessel having the aneurysm, and to exercise a pressure on the outside of the blood vessel having the aneurysm, a measuring device or sensor for measuring or sensing an expansion of the aneurysm, and a pressure regulator adapted to regulate the exercised pressure on the outside of the blood vessel having the aneurysm.

Touch probe passively powered wireless stent antenna for implanted sensor powering and interrogation

A system and method for wirelessly and passively powering and/or interrogating an implanted stent using a touch probe assembly through a near-field electrical connection not over an air interface. The stent apparatus includes at least one stent member functioning as an antenna and an electronics module coupled to the at least one stent member. Also, a wirelessly and passively powered power meter for use with implanted stents. The power meter includes an electronics module coupled to a stent member, wherein the electronics module includes a programmable oscillator structured to generate an oscillating signal that is proportional to an amount of AC power received by the implantable stent apparatus power meter through the stent member.

A universal implantable integrated circuit medical device platform having integral and monolithic circuit traces. The platform allows for implanting into a mammalian body single and multi-functional interface devices for sensing, monitoring stimulating and/or modulating physiological conditions within the body. Microelectronic circuitry may be integrated onto the platform or may be joined as modular components to the platform.

Fiber Optic Enabled Deployable Medical Devices for Monitoring, Assessment and Capture of Deployment Information

Disclosed herein is a system, apparatus and method directed to placing a medical instrument in a vasculature of a patient body. The optical fiber includes one or more core fibers. The system also includes a console having non-transitory computer-readable medium storing logic that, when executed, causes operations of providing an incident light signal to the optical fiber, where the optical fiber is coupled to a deployable medical device, receiving a reflected light signal of the incident light, and processing the reflected light signal to determine deployment information pertaining to deployment of the deployable medical device. The medical device may be a balloon, a filter, a stent or a valve, and the deployment information may include a location of the deployment, a status of the deployment, measurements of the deployable medical device in a deployed state or a shape of the deployed medical device.

A flexible, passive pressure sensor includes three LC tank circuits. The first LC tank circuit is a pressure sensing LC tank circuit, having a capacitance that varies in response to changes in environmental pressure. The second and third LC tank circuits are reference LC tank circuits, having capacitances that are relatively constant over changes in environmental pressure. A measurement tool measures the resonant frequencies of the three LC tank circuits and then computes a pressure measurement that accounts for changes in resonant frequencies in the LC tank circuits due to environmental effects and deforming.
