DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EFFICIENT COSET DECODER BY TRANSFORM
20180006767 · 2018-01-04 ·

A device, system and method for decoding. A noisy version of an error correction codeword may be received, for example, over a noisy communication channel or retrieved from a memory device (e.g. a flash memory device). One or more symbol probabilities may be transformed, from an initial domain to a transformed domain, the symbol probabilities being one or more individual symbols of the received error correction codeword were transmitted as one or more symbols in candidate transmitted error correction codewords. In the transformed domain, a plurality of the transformed symbol probabilities may be composed to generate a combined coset probability defining the likelihood that the transmitted error correction codeword is associated with the individual symbols belongs to a particular one of a plurality of candidate cosets. A plurality of the coset probabilities for the plurality of respective cosets may be inverse transformed from the transformed domain to the initial domain.

USER CONTROL FOR DISPLAYING TAGS ASSOCIATED WITH ITEMS IN A VIDEO PLAYBACK

A method controls display of one or more visually perceptible tags in association with a video. The method receives a first signal from a user input control device while the video is being presented via a display device without any visually perceptible tags. The first signal is generated by the user input control device in response to activation of a control associated with a function of causing the display device to present the video with the at least one visually perceptible tag. In response to receiving the first signal, the method causes the display device to present the video with at least one visually perceptible tag. After causing the display device to present the video with the at least one visually perceptible tag, the method changes the function associated with the control to thereafter cause the display device to present the video without any visually perceptible tags.

METHOD FOR DELETING DATA FILES IN AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
20170214881 · 2017-07-27 ·

The present disclosure relates to a an electronic device such as a digital camera 300 that includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment a digital camera keep track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, a deletion criteria is used to prioritize which images are deleted first.

Detection of action frames of a video stream

A method includes receiving, at a device, a plurality of image frames corresponding to a video stream. The plurality of image frames include a first image frame having a first resolution and a second image frame having a second resolution that is lower than the first resolution. The method also includes detecting, at the device, a trigger by analyzing the second image frame. The method further includes designating, at the device, the first image frame as an action frame based on the trigger.

Modular digital camera systems, such as modular digital still and motion cameras are disclosed. Individual modules may be removed from the system and replaced, such as to benefit from upgraded technology, while preserving the remaining modules in the system. The modules may be disassembled and reconstructed to convert the physical form of the camera, such as between still configurations, motion configurations, ENG configurations, DSLR configurations and studio configurations. The modules may be used to add wireless capabilities employing standard wireless protocols to allow a variety of devices to control or communicate with the modular digital camera system. The wireless capabilities may also be used to present a soft interface for camera control to the user, exposing a variety of variables and controls to the user that may otherwise be difficult or impossible to access.
