Various arrangements for authorizing content viewing are detailed herein. Sports wager data corresponding to a sports wager placed by a user may be provided to a television service provider system. The television service provider system can perform a lookup action to determine a content event based on the sports wager data. In response to the received sports wager data, a user account may be authorized using a rights scheme for access to a television channel on which the content event is scheduled to be broadcast. The television service provider system may deauthorized the user account for access to the television channel by removing the rights scheme such that access to the television channel on which the content event was broadcast is blocked after the event.

One embodiment provides a method, including: receiving, at an information handling device, a request from a user to access a video feed; determining, using a processor, whether: an authorized association exists between the user and an object associated with the video feed; and a predetermined condition is satisfied; and granting, responsive to determining that the authorized associations exists and that the predetermined condition is satisfied, the user access to the video feed. Other aspects are described and claimed.

A method may include receiving a consent-processing request at a consent management platform from a content-presentation device, and using an identifier string in the request to establish a secure interactive session configured for user selection of consent options associated with a particular consent package of the platform, where the package may include identifiers of consent features of a media distribution system that require user consent in order to be activated for the device. The platform may then receive, via the interactive session, user consent data including a respective consent choice for each of one or more consent options, where each respective consent choice indicates acceptance or rejection of consent to activating an associated consent feature identified with the particular consent package. The received respective consent choices may be stored in a database of the consent management platform. Corresponding data may be stored in a whitelist on the content-presentation device.

Systems, devices and processes are provided to facilitate the authentication of media player devices for media streaming. Specifically, the various embodiments provide a media player device authentication technique that monitors the locations of media player devices to determine a pattern of device co-location with a primary device. The media player devices can then be selectively designated as confirmed devices based on their determined pattern of device co-location with a primary media player device. Those media player devices that are designated as confirmed devices can then be selectively enabled for media streaming. Conversely, media player devices that are not designated as confirmed devices based on a pattern of co-location can be prevented from receiving media streams even when they have the correct login information and password.

Systems and methods are provided for temporarily granting access to a digital gateway. One example method includes receiving a request for temporary access to the digital gateway. A temporary access token is generated at a server. The temporary access token is assigned to a user. Access to the digital gateway is granted via the temporary access token. The temporary access token is automatically expired after a pre-set period. Access to the digital gateway is revoked once the temporary access token has expired.

A live streaming method includes that a live streaming platform plays a live video generated by a first cloud phone under control of a first client, where the first cloud phone and the first client are located in a first region. The live streaming platform switches control permission for the first cloud phone from the first client to a second client. The live streaming platform migrates a running environment of the first cloud phone to a second cloud phone online, where the second cloud phone and the second client are located in a second region. The live streaming platform plays a live video generated by the second cloud phone under control of the second client.

A content sharing method applied to a computing device includes: obtaining real-time image information of a target content for a content sharing event, obtaining user information of a plurality of user devices participating the content sharing event, presenting a virtual content sharing scene that includes the image information of the target content and the interaction information, obtaining authorized supplemental content corresponding to a target user type of the target user device, and presenting at least part of the authorized supplemental content in the content sharing scene. The user information of the plurality of user devices includes a plurality of user types of the plurality of user devices and/or interaction information of the plurality of user devices. The authorized supplemental content corresponding to a first user type is different from the authorized supplemental content corresponding to a second user type different from the first user type.

Various arrangements for authorizing content viewing are detailed herein. Sports wager data corresponding to a sports wager placed by a user may be provided to a television service provider system. A remote storage digital video recorder (RSDVR) retains multiple copies of media programs so long as the copies are expected to be useful to at least one user. Rather than assigning copies to specific users at the time the program is recorded, copies can be assigned as the users request access to the particular media programs. Copies of unassigned programs can be deleted according to a schedule to reduce disk storage and processing demands on the system. A pool of program copies that are not initially assigned to particular users can be maintained until the user makes a specific request to view the program. This “late assignment” of program copies can substantially reduce the amount of data stored by the RSDVR system without substantially impacting the viewer experience.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium, and including a method for providing content. The method comprises receiving a first login request from a first device used by a user, the request being associated with a first anonymous identifier associated with the first device, and determining a user tag for the user, that does not include any personally identifiable information associated with the user. The method further comprises receiving a second login request from a second different device used by the user, the request being associated with a second different anonymous identifier associated with the second different device, and storing an association between the user tag, the first anonymous identifier and the second different anonymous identifier. The method further comprises receiving a request for content from either the first or second different device and providing content in response to the request using the association.
