DISPLAY CONTROL SYSTEM AND DISPLAY INPUT MANAGEMENT METHOD
A management apparatus includes a connection request transmitter transmitting, to a display apparatus, a connection request requesting video signal acquisition by the display apparatus for each input type of video signal, a connectability determiner determining whether a connection to the display apparatus is available using a connection response acquired from the display apparatus for each input type of connection request, and a connectable input notifier informing an input type determined to be connectable. The display apparatus includes a connection switching processor executing a connection operation for acquiring a video signal corresponding to a requested input type, a connection switching confirmer determining whether acquisition of a video signal corresponding to the input type is successful by the connection operation, and a connection response transmitter transmitting a connection response including a connection result indicating whether acquisition of a video signal is successful that is determined to the management apparatus.
Automated video cropping
The disclosed computer-implemented method may include receiving, as an input, segmented video scenes, where each video scene includes a specified length of video content. The method may further include scanning the video scenes to identify objects within the video scene and also determining a relative importance value for the identified objects. The relative importance value may include an indication of which objects are to be included in a cropped version of the video scene. The method may also include generating a video crop that is to be applied to the video scene such that the resulting cropped version of the video scene includes those identified objects that are to be included based on the relative importance value. The method may also include applying the generated video crop to the video scene to produce the cropped version of the video scene. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
System and method to adapting video size
The present invention discloses a method for real time dynamic responsive/adapting/adjusting video in real-time to required/defined display size.
The method comrading the steps of: Identifying size requirements Receiving/uploading instruction/policy for changing/adapting the video based on required display size; Changing/cropping video based on pre-defined rules or dynamic rules when changing display size requirement;
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING AND OPTIMIZING DELIVERY OF CONTENT IN A NETWORK
Methods and apparatus for delivering content to a user so as to optimize and enhance the “experience” of the content. In one embodiment, an optimization and monitoring entity (OME) is used which determines, evaluates, and provides notification and/or recommendation of alternative content delivery platforms which are available to a user. The OME receives requests for content forwarded from a content server containing information identifying requesting devices and/or subscriber accounts. The OME examines the capabilities of the registered devices, and identifies/recommends alternative devices based on e.g., video/audio quality, picture size, bandwidth availability, and/or any other additional capabilities of the client devices. A notification is then sent to the client devices indicating which of the user’s devices may receive the content alternatively, or in addition to, the requesting device. The notifications may be interactive, allowing the user to select one or more of the devices for delivery.
System, device and method for displaying display-dependent media files
It is disclosed a system comprising a display characteristics evaluation unit configured to evaluate display characteristics of a display of an electronic device, a media access unit configured to receive a source media file from a media storage, and a display-dependent processing unit configured to perform, based on the display characteristics, a display-dependent processing of the source media file to obtain a display-dependent media file.
Method and system for encoding game video and audio remotely streamed to a remote computer system
A system, method, and computer readable medium for remotely playing a game over a network includes capturing game video data that is generated for a display device of a host computer system running a game. The method also includes capturing game audio data that is generated for an audio output device of the host computer system. Additionally, the method includes encoding the game video data and the game audio data as a multimedia stream. Further, the method includes transmitting the multimedia stream to a remote computer system over a media session. The multimedia stream is displayed on the remote computer system for remote game play by a user.
RESOURCE-SAVING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Methods and systems for saving resources when outputting a media asset such as a video are provided. The media asset is split into a first portion with a first importance and a second portion with the second importance. The first portion is displayed with a first set of output parameters (e.g., resolution, bit rate, frame rate, display size) and the second portion is displayed with a second set of output parameters that correspond to a lower quality than the first set of output parameters (e.g., a lower resolution, a lower bit rate, a lower frame rate, a lower display size).
PROCESSING METHOD, DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
A control method, an electronic device, and a storage medium are provided. The method includes: obtaining a first screen projection instruction and determining a target display device to be projected; and switching a network to which an electronic device or the target display device is connected when the target display device and the electronic device executing the first screen projection instruction are not connected to a same network, such that output content of the electronic device is able to be display-outputted to the target display device.
VIDEO TRANSMISSION METHOD, DEVICE, AND SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A video transmission method includes: A first media gateway receives an uplink media packet sent by a first terminal, where the uplink media packet carries information indicating that the first terminal supports an uplink-downlink resolution asymmetry capability and an uplink media stream of a first resolution of the first terminal. The first media gateway sends a first downlink media packet to the first terminal, where the first downlink media packet carries a downlink media stream of a second resolution of the first terminal, and the first resolution is different from the second resolution. The solution is applicable to the following case: In a video call process, a terminal that supports different resolutions in a sending direction and a receiving direction can lower a resolution based on channel quality to deliver a video packet, and can raise a resolution when network resources are sufficient.
Systems and methods for selecting network-connected devices to provide device functions for an event
Systems and methods are provided for selecting one or more network-connected devices to provide device functions required by an event. A media guidance application may detect an event in which a user is currently engaged. The media guidance application may identify a set of device capabilities associated with the event. The media guidance application may search, within a plurality of network-connected devices of the user, to identify one or more devices that enable functions corresponding to the set of device capabilities to be perceptible to the user, and the media guidance application may instruct the identified one or more devices to provide the functions corresponding to the set of device capabilities associated with the event.
