A method and apparatus for publishing multimedia data, and a device and a medium are provided. The method includes: acquiring multimedia data to be published; in response to acquiring a multimedia synchronous publishing request, sending the multimedia synchronous publishing request to a second multimedia platform indicated by the multimedia synchronous publishing request, such that the second multimedia platform publishes synchronous multimedia data that is generated on the basis of the multimedia data to be published, wherein the synchronous multimedia data includes identification information of a first multimedia platform. Thus, a user can synchronously publish multimedia data at another multimedia platform by means of an original multimedia platform, and add an identifier of the original multimedia platform to the multimedia data that is published at the other multimedia platform, so as to enable a user at the other multimedia platform to be aware of the original multimedia platform.

A data sharing system includes a first sharer terminal, a receiver terminal and a service server. The service server is configured to receive a first sharer identity data, a first sharing command and a identity verification which is one of a share characteristic and a first shared data from the first sharer terminal. The service server, according to the first sharer identity data, the first sharing command and a share request, adds a new share list, or saves, modifies, or deletes at least one share list saved in a list storage module.

A system for a video sharing service for inmates in correctional facilities is disclosed. The system includes an inmate device of an inmate, a database storing inmate profiles, and a video sharing server configured to receive a registration request from the inmate device for registration of an inmate for the video sharing service, the registration request including user credentials of the inmate, retrieve an inmate profile of the inmate from the database, authenticate the inmate based on the user credentials and the inmate profile, create an account for the inmate for the video sharing service in response to authentication of the inmate, receive an upload request to upload a video from the inmate device, analyze the video for restricted content, and assign a rating to the video based on the analysis.

An embodiment includes software that causes a third node to perform operations comprising: in response to receiving a first identifier for a first node that includes at least one processor, authenticate a first user of the first node via a first authentication service; in response to receiving a second identifier for a second node that includes at least one processor, authenticate a second user of the second node via a second authentication service that is unequal to the first authentication service; in response to authenticating the first user of the first node, communicate a first list of media assets to the first computing node; in response to authenticating the second user of the second node, communicate a second list of media assets to the second computing node. A disclosed digital media device operational at user premises to receive media signals from a media source for presentation via endpoint devices such as a television display. The digital media device can include gateway and digital media management functionality and can be referred to as a gateway and digital media device. The device offers application services obtained over a wide area network and a user premises network. The digital media device may form a composite signal from the media signal and application service information, for example, for a composite audio and/or video signal for television type presentation to the user. The digital media device may receive a selection signal based on the presentation, for transmission to the application service provider device or to the media source. The media device also offers a GUI presenting a moveable arrangement of icons for selectively accessing application services.

Video content is uploaded via the Internet to a video-on-demand (VOD) server identified by a title and a hierarchical address of categories and subcategories for categorizing the title. The VOD server converts and stores the video content at a storage address in a video content database linked to the title. The title is listed in a location of an electronic program guide (EPG) using the same categories and subcategories as in its hierarchical address. Any TV subscriber can access the EPG and navigate through its categories and subcategories to find a title for viewing on the TV. This can enable many new blogging or podcasting-like programs by popular “Hosts” to be self-published on the Internet and readily navigated for display on TV. The EPG can also store TV program addresses as bookmarks and allow them to be shared with other subscribers or with friends and contacts online by sending to their email addresses.

An illustrative example embodiment of a method includes determining that at least one first condition is satisfied indicating that a subscriber is an event attendee, determining that at least one second condition is satisfied indicating that the subscriber is at least likely to desire observing media representing at least a portion of the event, and providing the media representing at least the portion of the event to a portable subscriber device based on the first condition and the second condition being satisfied.

Systems, devices and processes are provided to facilitate the authentication of media player devices for media streaming. Specifically, the various embodiments provide a media player device authentication technique that monitors the locations of media player devices to determine a pattern of device co-location with a primary device. The media player devices can then be selectively designated as confirmed devices based on their determined pattern of device co-location with a primary media player device. Those media player devices that are designated as confirmed devices can then be selectively enabled for media streaming. Conversely, media player devices that are not designated as confirmed devices based on a pattern of co-location can be prevented from receiving media streams even when they have the correct login information and password.

Systems and methods are provided for temporarily granting access to a digital gateway. One example method includes receiving a request for temporary access to the digital gateway. A temporary access token is generated at a server. The temporary access token is assigned to a user. Access to the digital gateway is granted via the temporary access token. The temporary access token is automatically expired after a pre-set period. Access to the digital gateway is revoked once the temporary access token has expired.

The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a control method, system, device, and medium of a unified playback control system. The control method of the unified playback control system includes: receiving a template request sent by a device, then, after receiving the template request, returning a preset template to the requesting device, and managing and controlling playback of the device by means of the template. In some implementations, the device obtains a unified template of the unified playback control system, and management and control is performed by means of the preset template so as to enable a licensee EPG platform on the device to present a consistent interface style and unified management and control process.
