A broadcast reception device includes: a program recording execution unit that stores, into a recording-content storage area, program identification information for identifying a broadcast program, and storage-destination information for specifying a server device storing the broadcast program; a reception function execution unit that transmits the program identification information and the program storage-destination information to the server device specified from the program storage-destination information; and an output unit that outputs sound information and image information on the broadcast program transmitted from the server device.

In particular, second location verification data is generated using a current location of the second device is provided to a first device by a second device which can be matched with first location verification data received by the first device from a server, the first location verification data is generated using a stored location of the first device. If the first and second location verification data match, the location of the first device is considered to have been verified.

The present disclosure is directed to embodiments for securely reconfiguring a media playback device. For example, a method may include determining whether a media playback device is being controlled by a user. In response to determining that the media playback device is not being controlled by the user, the method may further include: causing display of a pictograph that includes an encrypted payload with information for wirelessly connecting to the media playback device and is configured to be scanned by a client device determining whether a request from the client device to wirelessly connect to the media playback device is a valid request in response to the request being valid, wirelessly connecting the client device to the media playback device via a soft access point; and receiving, at the media playback device, information for reconfiguring the media playback device.

A content sharing method applied to a computing device includes: obtaining real-time image information of a target content for a content sharing event, obtaining user information of a plurality of user devices participating the content sharing event, presenting a virtual content sharing scene that includes the image information of the target content and the interaction information, obtaining authorized supplemental content corresponding to a target user type of the target user device, and presenting at least part of the authorized supplemental content in the content sharing scene. The user information of the plurality of user devices includes a plurality of user types of the plurality of user devices and/or interaction information of the plurality of user devices. The authorized supplemental content corresponding to a first user type is different from the authorized supplemental content corresponding to a second user type different from the first user type.

Provided is a method for controlling delivery of a video stream of a live-stream room, and corresponding server and mobile terminal. The method includes steps of: receiving a connection request initiated by an anchor user of the live-stream room from a first terminal and including pre-protocol information outputted by a second terminal; sending, in response to the connection request, a first live video stream uploaded by the first terminal down to the second terminal; and receiving a third live video stream uploaded by the second terminal and formed by combining at least one of a second live video stream and the first live video stream, and delivering the third live video stream to a member user in the live-stream room.

One method includes caching, by a ground-based caching device, media content provided by a streaming service; pre-fetching, by a server on an aircraft, a subset of the cached media content that is likely to be viewed by passengers on the aircraft, the pre-fetched content stored in a cache on the aircraft; presenting, by a first device on the aircraft, a first subset of the pre-fetched content to a non-subscriber of the media content on a first flight; presenting, by a second device on the aircraft, a second subset of the pre-fetched content to a subscriber of the media content on the first flight; and storing, by the second device, viewing history of the second subset by the subscriber.

An apparatus includes a network interface and a processor. The network interface receives event data that identifies a content ID and a message authentication code. The content ID identifies a content within a webcast or a virtual event. The processor generates a content hash, at least in part based on the content ID. The network interface transmits a content request and receives the content. The content request identifies the content hash and the message authentication code.

Various arrangements for authorizing content viewing are detailed herein. Sports wager data corresponding to a sports wager placed by a user may be provided to a television service provider system. The television service provider system can perform a lookup action to determine a content event based on the sports wager data. In response to the received sports wager data, a user account may be authorized using a rights scheme for access to a television channel on which the content event is scheduled to be broadcast. The television service provider system may deauthorized the user account for access to the television channel by removing the rights scheme such that access to the television channel on which the content event was broadcast is blocked after the event.

An indication that a user device has initiated a casting session with a display device can be received. A request for recommended content to be presented on the display device can be received. A media content item can be identified based on at least one media content item that has been previously selected by a user account associated with the user device. A notification can be generated that includes an indication of the identified media content item and a selectable input that, when selected, causes the identified media content item to begin being presented on the display device.
