A solid-state imaging element according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a first electrode including a plurality of electrodes, a second electrode opposed to the first electrode, and a photoelectric conversion layer provided between the first electrode and the second electrode, and the first electrode has, at least in a portion, an overlap section where the plurality of electrodes overlap each other with a first insulation layer interposed therebetween.

Imaging device and solid-state image sensor
An imaging device includes a first electrode, a charge accumulating electrode arranged with a space from the first electrode, an isolation electrode arranged with a space from the first electrode and the charge accumulating electrode and surrounding the charge accumulating electrode, a photoelectric conversion layer formed in contact with the first electrode and above the charge accumulating electrode with an insulating layer interposed therebetween, and a second electrode formed on the photoelectric conversion layer. The isolation electrode includes a first isolation electrode and a second isolation electrode arranged with a space from the first isolation electrode, and the first isolation electrode is positioned between the first electrode and the second isolation electrode.
Stacked light receiving sensor and electronic apparatus
A stacked light receiving sensor according to one embodiment includes a first substrate in a first layer, a second substrate joined with the first substrate and formed in a second layer, and a third substrate joined with the second substrate and formed in a third layer. An analog circuit reads a pixel signal from a pixel array. A logic circuit is connected to the analog circuit and outputs the pixel signal. A processing section executes processing based on a neural network computing model, on data based on the pixel signal. The pixel array is disposed on the first layer. The analog circuit is disposed on any one or more of the first to third layers. The logic circuit, the processing section, and a memory are disposed on any one or more of the second and third layers.
LIDAR SYSTEM WITH POLYGON MIRROR
A lidar system includes one or more light sources configured to generate a first beam of light and a second beam of light, a scanner configured to scan the first and second beams of light across a field of regard of the lidar system, and a receiver configured to detect the first beam of light and the second beam of light scattered by one or more remote targets. The scanner includes a rotatable polygon mirror that includes multiple reflective surfaces angularly offset from one another along a periphery of the polygon mirror, the reflective surfaces configured to reflect the first and second beams of light to produce a series of scan lines as the polygon mirror rotates. The scanner also includes a pivotable scan mirror configured to (i) reflect the first and second beams of light and (ii) pivot to distribute the scan lines across the field of regard.
AVALANCHE PHOTODETECTORS AND IMAGE SENSORS INCLUDING THE SAME
A photodetector having a small form factor and having high detection efficiency with respect to both visible light and infrared rays may include a first electrode, a collector layer on the first electrode, a tunnel barrier layer on the collector layer, a graphene layer on the tunnel barrier layer, an emitter layer on the graphene layer, and a second electrode on the emitter layer. The photodetector may be included in an image sensor. An image sensor may include a substrate, an insulating layer on the substrate, and a plurality of photodetectors on the insulating layer. The photodetectors may be aligned with each other in a direction extending parallel or perpendicular to a top surface of the insulating layer. The photodetector may be included in a LiDAR system.
PHOTOSENSITIVE IMAGING DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A monolithic sensor for detecting infrared and visible light according to an example includes a semiconductor substrate and a semiconductor layer coupled to the semiconductor substrate. The semiconductor layer includes a device surface opposite the semiconductor substrate. A visible light photodiode is formed at the device surface. An infrared photodiode is also formed at the device surface and in proximity to the visible light photodiode. A textured region is coupled to the infrared photodiode and positioned to interact with electromagnetic radiation.
IMAGING DEVICE, STACKED IMAGING DEVICE, AND SOLID-STATE IMAGING APPARATUS
An imaging device includes a photoelectric conversion unit in which a first electrode, a photoelectric conversion layer, and a second electrode are stacked. A semiconductor material layer including an inorganic oxide semiconductor material having an amorphous structure at least in a portion is formed between the first electrode and the photoelectric conversion layer, and the formation energy of an inorganic oxide semiconductor material that has the same composition as the inorganic oxide semiconductor material having an amorphous structure and has a crystalline structure has a positive value.
IMAGE SENSORS AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES
An image sensor may include a first photo-sensing device on a semiconductor substrate and configured to sense light of a first wavelength spectrum, and second and third photo-sensing devices integrated in the semiconductor substrate and configured to sense light of a second and third wavelength spectrum, respectively. The first photo-sensing device may overlap each of the second and third photo-sensing devices in a thickness direction of the semiconductor substrate. The second and third photo-sensing devices do not overlap in the thickness direction and each have an upper surface, a lower surface, and a doped region therebetween. The third photo-sensing device includes an upper surface deeper further from the upper surface of the semiconductor substrate than the upper surface of the second photo-sensing device and a doped region thicker than the doped region of the second photo-sensing device. The image sensor may omit the first photo-sensing device.
PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT AND SOLID-STATE IMAGING DEVICE
A photoelectric conversion element of the present disclosure includes a first electrode, a second electrode disposed to be opposed to the first electrode, and an organic photoelectric conversion layer provided between the first electrode and the second electrode and including at least one of a Chryseno[1,2-b:8,7-b′]dithiophene (ChDT1) derivative represented by the general formula (1) or a Chryseno[1,2-b:7,8-b′]dithiophene (ChDT2) derivative represented by the general formula (2).
