PINCH-TO-CLAMP CANNULA DEPTH LIMITER

A depth limiter that is configured to couple with a cannula tube of a trocar. The depth limiter includes a body having first and second body portions coupled together and pivotable between open and clamped configurations. The body includes first and second inner surfaces presented by the first and second body portions. In the clamped configuration the first and second inner surfaces form a first cross dimension sized to restrict axial movement of the depth limiter relative to the cannula tube. In the open configuration the first and second inner surfaces form a second cross dimension sized to permit axial movement of the depth limiter relative to the cannula tube. The depth limiter includes first and second locking members, one of which is resiliently biased to engage the other. The locking members are configured to engage each other to lock the body portions in the clamped configuration.

The disclosed devices include a cannula assembly including a cannula body, a dam seal sub-assembly disposed proximally from the cannula body, and an obturator inserted coaxially through both the cannula body and the dam seal sub-assembly; an articulated arthroscopic cutting tool; a ring curette; a square curette; a rake curette; a matrix shuttle delivery device for delivering a cell-seeded support matrix including chondrocytes; and an applicator tool.

METHOD FOR MOLDING THIN-WALLED SPIRAL TUBE FOR USE WITH ENDOSCOPE

A method of molding a polymeric device having an elongated tube and a spiral fin. The method including: injecting a liquid resin into a mold space defining the polymeric device, the mold space having an elongated hollow tube molding space and a spiral fin molding space wound around the elongated hollow tube molding space; and providing a longitudinal flow path in at least a portion of a longitudinal length of the elongated tube molding space, the longitudinal flow path defining a concavity greater in depth than other portions of the elongated hollow tube molding space such that the liquid resin injected into the mold space flows in the longitudinal flow path to fill one or more ends of the hollow tube molding space.

Arthroscopic Cannula And Suture Management System

A flexible portal cannula for use in arthroscopic surgery. Distally positioned flaps extend radially outwardly from the outer surface of the cannula and are resiliently foldable to lie against the outer surface of the cannula during insertion into a surgical portal, and resiliently biased to return to the radially outwardly extending position when unconstrained. A clip disposed on the cannula outer surface outside of an arthroscopic workspace acts to clamp tissue disposed between the clip and the flaps. The clip has an extension to receive pairs of slots to sort and engage the sutures.

METHOD OF USING A SURGICAL MODULAR ROBOTIC ASSEMBLY

A method of using a surgical modular robotic assembly including an interchangeable motor pack, a hand-held surgical instrument, and a robotic surgical instrument is disclosed. The method includes releasably attaching an interface portion of the interchangeable motor pack to the hand-held surgical instrument, causing the interchangeable motor pack to drive a first surgical tool of the hand-held surgical instrument, stopping the interchangeable motor pack from driving the first surgical tool, disconnecting the interface portion from the hand-held surgical instrument, and releasably attaching the interface portion of the interchangeable motor pack to the robotic surgical instrument.

A compressive intramedullary rod includes first and second concentric shafts configured to engage with each other in a telescopic manner along a longitudinal axis, through a screw mechanism integrated in the first concentric shaft. The screw mechanism includes a bolt in an upper portion for mounting onto the first concentric shaft, and an externally threaded rod in a lower portion for engaging with an internally threaded first channel of the second concentric shaft. The second concentric shaft includes a second channel extending along corresponding length, and the externally threaded rod portion includes a third channel extending along corresponding length. Further, the second channel fully aligns with the third channel, when first and second concentric shafts engage in a telescopic manner upon rotation of the screw mechanism. The first and second concentric shafts include first and second set of guide holes for coupling to proximal and distal fragments of bone.

SURGICAL SYSTEMS FOR PERCUTANEOUSLY INSERTING SURGICAL DEVICES

Surgical systems and methods for percutaneously inserting surgical devices, such as during glenoid labrum repairs or rotator cuff repairs of the shoulder, for example, may include a cannula and a cutting obturator insertable through the cannula. The cutting obturator may include a cutting tip configured for penetrating and dilating tissue during a percutaneous insertion into a joint space.

Implant Delivery Device

An implant delivery device may include an implant holding portion proximate the distal end, the implant holding portion being configured to retain a sheet-like implant during implantation of the implant. In addition, the implant holding portion may be configured to receive the implant with a fixed implant supporting flange member configured to support the implant on one side, and a movable implant supporting flange member. The movable implant supporting flange member may be configured to be slidable between a distal position and a proximal position, wherein, in the distal position, the movable implant supporting flange member and secures the implant against the fixed implant supporting flange member, and in the proximal position, the movable implant supporting flange member is withdrawn from the distal end of the implant delivery device, thus enabling release of the implant.

CANNULA WITH CAP

Various devices, systems, and methods are provided for allowing surgical instruments to access a body cavity through an access device, such as a cannula. In one embodiment, a cap can be removably and replaceably coupled to a proximal end of cannula and can have an opening therethrough that communicates with an inner passageway of the cannula. Various surgical elements can be passed through the cap and cannula and into a patient when the cannula is positioned within the patient. The cap can have a side slot formed therein. The slot can be configured to allow surgical elements, such as sutures, to pass through the cap and into the cannula. At least one surgical seal can be in the cap and can be configured to receive surgical elements therethrough.
