FOIL-LIKE FUNCTIONAL MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEROF
A foil-like functional material (1) providing a predefined function and may be used for targeted physical, chemical, physicochemical, biological, technical and technological purposes, and in which is arranged a support medium (2), which comprises a total support volume, has a cross-sectional extent (7) of 100 m, like a matrix, and is formed from linear support elements (3a) and node-like support elements (3b), which form the substance components of the support medium (2) and pass through the total support volume to form a strip-like extent with interconnected partial volumes (5), situated therein and spanned by support elements (3) close by. The support elements (3) are sheathed with a first functional substance (4) which provides a first function. The remaining volume of the total support volume is filled with one second functional substance (6) which differs from the first function.
BATTERY AND MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING SAME
A battery having an electrode assembly comprising a cathode having a cathode collector coated, partially or entirely, with a cathode active material, an anode having a nano-web layer on both sides of an anode collector coated, partially or entirely, with an anode active material, and a separation membrane interposed between the cathode and the anode; an electrolytic solution; and an exterior material which encapsulates the electrolyte solution and the electrode assembly together. Since the battery has a porous nano-web layer, even if the temperature inside the battery increases to cause shrinkage or melting of the separation membrane, a contact between the cathode and the anode is prevented such that ignition and/or explosion of the battery does not occur, ion exchange is not disturbed such that the battery performance does not deteriorate, and the nano-web layer is not molten or released towards the separation membrane even at high temperatures.
Cell-core for lithium slurry battery, and lithium slurry battery module
Provided is a no-liquid cell-core for a lithium slurry battery. The no-liquid cell-core comprises multiple positive electrode pieces and negative electrode pieces overlapping alternately. The positive electrode piece comprises an electric-conductive cathode layer and a cathode surface current-collecting layer, wherein the electric-conductive cathode layer contains a part or all of the electric-conductive cathode particles in accumulated state without adhesive bonding, and the cathode surface current-collecting layer is set on the surface of the electric-conductive cathode layer and contacted with it tightly. The negative electrode piece comprises an electric-conductive lithium-intercalatable anode layer which is a lithium-containing metal body and/or a layer containing a part or all of electric-conductive lithium-intercalatable anode particles in accumulated state without adhesive bonding. The peripheral edges of the positive electrode piece and/or the negative electrode piece are insulated and sealed. A lithium slurry battery module containing the no-liquid cell-core is also provided.
Buckling resistant current collector
A wire mesh including a warp which includes a first nickel alloy wire having a first peak tensile strength; and a weft which includes a wire including nickel having a second peak tensile strength, wherein the first peak tensile strength is greater than or equal to the second peak tensile strength, is provided. A current collector and a zinc-air battery that includes the wire mesh are also provided.
NON-PLANAR ELECTRODES, METHOD OF MAKING SAME, AND USES THEREOF
An electrode or electrode material or catalyst or catalyst material. The material includes an electrically conducting 3-dimensional (3-D) matrix comprising a plurality of porous regions; an active material, and optionally, a carbon conductivity aid, where the active material is disposed in and/or on at least a portion of the porous regions of the electrically conducting 3-D matrix. The electrode or electrode material or catalyst or catalyst material may be made by contacting an electrically conducting 3-D matrix with additive material dispersed thereon with a liquid. An electrochemical device may comprise the electrode or electrode material or catalyst or catalyst material.
RECHARGEABLE ELECTRICAL DEVICE
A system and method for a rechargeable electrical device includes an anode, a cathode, an electrolyte located between the anode and the cathode, and a housing retaining the anode, cathode and electrode, wherein the cathode comprises a molybdenum sulphide compound.
LITHIATED TRANSITION METAL OXIDES
Process for the fabrication of an electrode structure comprising an electrochemically active material suitable for use in an energy storage device. The method includes electrodepositing the electrochemically active material onto an electrode in electrodeposition bath containing a non-aqueous electrolyte. The electrode structure can be used for various applications such as electrochemical energy storage devices including high power and high-energy lithium-ion batteries.
METALLIC TEXTILES FOR FLEXIBLE WEARABLE LITHIUM ION BATTERIES
This disclosure provides a method for preparing a current collector. The method includes: (1) anchoring vinyl groups onto the surface of textiles through the silanization between hydroxyl groups and coupling agents; (2) synthesizing polyelectrolyte brushes through in-situ radical polymerization; and (3) obtaining catalyst ions on the polyelectrolyte brushes through ion-exchange and obtaining metal-coated layers through subsequent electroless deposition). The current collector according to the present disclosure has high electrical conductivity and excellent mechanical flexibility, and thus the lithium ion battery including the same is suitable for portable and wearable electronic devices.
LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY NEGATIVE ELECTRODE INCLUDING PROTECTION LAYER MADE OF CONDUCTIVE FABRIC, AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY INCLUDING SAME
A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery including a protective layer formed with a conductive fabric, in particular, to a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery including a conductive fabric formed on at least one surface of the lithium metal layer and having pores, and a lithium secondary battery including the same. The lithium secondary battery including a negative electrode having the conductive fabric as a protective layer that induces uniform reactions within the pores, thus preventing local lithium metal formation on the lithium metal surface, and thereby suppressing dendrite formation on the lithium metal surface, and thereby suppressing dendrite formation and cell volume expansion. In addition thereto, mechanical stability can be maintained even when lithium plating and stripping occurs due to the flexibility and tension/contraction of the conductive fabric.
ELECTROCHEMICAL CELLS WITH MOBILE ELECTROLYTE
