Methods of preparing engineered cementitious composite precursors include carbonating a fly ash comprising >about 25% by weight of calcium oxide (CaO) and having a water content of >about 12% to <about 18% by weight of water by exposing the fly ash to a first gas stream comprising carbon dioxide to form a carbonated fly ash. A steel slag is also carbonated that comprises>about 40% by weight of calcium oxide (CaO) and having a water content of >about 12% to <about 18% by weight of water by exposing the steel slag to a second gas stream comprising carbon dioxide to form a carbonated steel slag. The carbonated fly ash and the carbonated steel slag are suitable for use as engineered cementitious composite precursors in a bendable engineered cementitious composite composition that further comprises Portland cement, a polymeric fiber, and a superplasticizer.
Concrete Sandwich Composite Structure With Ultra-High Performance Concrete Wrapped Steel Tube
A concrete sandwich composite structure of an ultra-high performance concrete wrapped steel tube includes a steel arch, a plurality of connecting members and an ultra-high performance concrete layer. The plurality of connecting members are arranged on an outer wall of the steel arch at intervals, and one end of each connecting member is fixedly connected with the outer wall of the steel arch; and the ultra-high performance concrete layer is arranged on the outer wall of the steel arch and connected with the outer wall of the steel arch through the connecting members, and the ultra-high performance concrete layer can effectively prevent water from being contacted with the steel arch, so that a durability of the steel arch is improved, and an isolating agent is further arranged between the ultra-high performance concrete layer and the outer wall of the steel arch, and an elongated shear nail in the connecting member is wrapped by rubber, so that the interaction between the ultra-high performance concrete layer and a main body structure of the steel arch can be reduced, the effects of releasing a stress of the ultra-high performance concrete layer and reducing a thickness are achieved, and plain concrete can be poured into the steel arch to improve an anti-collision performance.
Plant-mixed warm regenerated asphalt mixture and preparation method thereof
A preparation method of a plant-mixed warm regenerated asphalt mixture, comprises the following steps: preparing a RAP material, a new aggregate, a mineral powder, a new asphalt and a regenerant with a total mass percentage of 100%; heating and stirring the RAP material, adding the regenerant, and continuing to heat and stir; placing the product in a development bin for development, wherein a development temperature is 40° C. to 150° C., and a development time is 0.5 h to 6 h; mixing, heating and stirring a product with the new aggregate; and after mixing and heating the product with the new asphalt, adding the mineral powder, and stirring to mold. Addition of the regenerated asphalt mixture in the development process improves the regeneration effect of the old asphalt, and pavement performances of the formed regenerated asphalt mixture can fully reach that of a hot-mixed asphalt mixture produced entirely with new materials.
Pavement repair method and system thereof
A method for repairing/treating a pavement with the use of a rheology modifier is disclosed. The method comprises first applying a layer of a rheology modifier composition comprising a rejuvenating component onto the top surface of the pavement that needs repair, then applying a second layer of a binder onto the rheology modifier layer. The second layer of binder effectively seals the rheology modifier layer with the rejuvenating component for intimate contact with the top pavement surface, thus penetrating the surface layer to extend the life of the pavement surface, arresting the deterioration of visco-elastic properties and restoring some of those properties.
A TRE ASSEMBLE PERMANENT COLUMN FORMWORK AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention discloses a TRC assemble permanent column formwork and a manufacturing method thereof, which belongs to the technical field of reinforced concrete building construction. The TRE assemble permanent column formwork comprises first panels, second panels, circumferential bolts, longitudinal bolts, nuts and gaskets; the formwork is manufactured from an engineered cementitious composite ECC and a woven fabric net; the first panels are used for assembling the column formwork at the two ends of a column, and the second panels are used for assembling the column formwork in the middle section of the column; the panels are provided with preformed bolt holes, and the bolt holes among the panels are corresponding to each other for bolt connections; the bolts include circumferential bolts and longitudinal bolts. The TRE permanent column formwork provided by the present invention can reduce material waste, labor cost, and project cost. Besides, the panels have advantages of easy and firm assembling, convenient transportation and low manufacturing cost, and the formwork has great application prospects.
String-type mooring system
The present invention provides a string-type mooring system. A support frame is provided on a dock. Two free guide rollers are provided at vertical corresponding positions that are respectively below a cross arm of the support frame and above the dock. The two free guide rollers are respectively wound with a cable. One end of each cable is connected to a platform arm fixed on a platform, and the other end thereof is horizontally connected with one end of a spring. The other ends of the two springs are respectively connected with a hydraulic device. The present invention provides an omnidirectional restoring force for the moored platform through the elastic deformation of the springs to control the movement response of the platform within a certain range. The present invention can adjust the slow change of the vertical position of the platform caused by tidal fluctuation.
DANGLING NET CLOTH DEVICE FOR SUPPRESSING FLUTTER OF SEA-CROSSING BRIDGE
The present invention belongs to the technical field of wind-induced vibration control study of bridges, and provides a dangling net cloth device for suppressing flutter of a sea-crossing bridge, i.e., a large-area dangling net cloth equipped with multiple balance weights, which is suspended below a girder by ropes and is immersed in water . When wind-induced vibration occurs on a bridge, the device is driven to move in the water, and gravity of the device as well as a huge additional mass force and an additional damping force produced by the water on the net cloth will do negative work on the girder to consume vibration energy of the bridge and effectively suppress large vibration of the bridge. The device adopts lightweight standardized components which are convenient to install, detach, transport, and store, and has the advantages of safety, reliability, economy, and practicality.
BOAT DOCKING SYSTEM
A fender mounting assembly includes a backing plate and a branch. The backing plate is configured to attach to a slip wall to mount the fender mounting assembly to the slip wall. The branch is configured to hold a fender a predetermined distance away from the slip wall. The branch extends from the backing plate and includes a first section and a second section. The first section has a first end and a second end. The first end is attached to the backing plate. The second section has a third end and a fourth end. The third end is attached to the second end of the first section. When the fender mounting assembly is attached to the slip wall in an upright position via the backing plate, the second section of the branch extends downwardly from the first section of the branch.
