LIQUID COSMETIC COMPOSITION

Provided is a liquid cosmetic composition which provides easily a clear and brilliant coating film without causing flaky pigments to be overlapped on each other when the liquid cosmetic composition containing a small amount of brilliant flaky pigments is filled in an applicator having a coating part composed of a brush to be coated on a surface such as a skin. The liquid cosmetic composition of the present invention is characterized in containing at least 0.01 to 10 mass % of a flaky pigment coated on a surface with a compound selected from the following A group, 0.05 to 5 mass % of layered clay mineral particles, 1 to 20 mass % of an acrylic copolymer in terms of a solid content and water and being filled in an applicator provided with a coating part having a brush:

A group: cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, chitin, chitosan.

Moisturizing compositions and uses thereof

Embodiments herein are directed to moisturizing compositions comprising interpenetrating polymer networks, methods of making moisturizing compositions and methods of using moisturizing compositions.

Cosmetic agent for temporarily reshaping keratinous fibres with film former

The application describes a cosmetic agent for temporarily reshaping keratin fibres, in particular human hair, comprising a film former and a cosmetic carrier, wherein the film former comprises at least one neutralization product of chitosan with at least one organic acid and at least one non-ionic propylene oxide-modified starch,
which cosmetic agent is also substantially free of a fully synthetic film former.

COMPOSITE POWDER, METHOD OF PRODUCING THEREOF AND COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME
20170273887 · 2017-09-28 ·

The present invention relates to a method of producing a composite powder. A porous powder is physically covered by collagen and chitosan sequentially, thereby forming the composite powder. The composite powder has good dispersity, an ability of moisture retention and a low greasiness while being added in an oil-in-water emulsion base or a hydrogel base to form a cosmetic composition.

Methods of Increasing the Volume of a Fiber, Such as Mammalian Hair, and/or Altering the Structure of a Fiber with a Chitosan Polyelectrolyte Complex
20210401720 · 2021-12-30 ·

The invention includes methods of increasing the volume of a fiber by applying to the fiber a chitosan cross linked with or complexed to an aldehyde-bearing compound, and a polyanion. The fiber is then dried forming a chitosan polyelectrolyte complex on the hair that increases the dimension of the fiber. The fiber may be wet prior to application and may be a mammalian hair. Also included are method of semi-permanently altering the structure of hair that includes topically applying to hair a chitosan cross linked with or complexed to an aldehyde-bearing compound, and a polyanion. Also contemplated within the scope of the invention is a hair care polyelectrolyte complex that includes a chitosan cross linked with or complexed to an aldehyde-bearing compound, and a polyanion. Systems for hair treatment are also encompassed within the scope of the invention and include at least two formulations: a first formulation comprising a chitosan cross linked with or complexed to an aldehyde-bearing compound, and a second formulation comprising a polyanion. Such systems may be included in hair care kits.
