Printable coating

A primer-less coating composition for facestock comprises: a binder being a water-dispersible polymer; an ethylenically unsaturated compound which is aqueous-dispersible and miscible with or bonded to said water-dispersible polymer, wherein said ethylenically unsaturated compound is able to form a covalent bond with an ink; and a crosslinker, wherein said crosslinker is suitable for binding the coating to the facestock. The coating composition may be applied to a substrate to form a printable film. A printed film in accordance with the invention may be used in a label, for example for use on a container such as a bottle.

Tabbed sealing member with improved heat distribution for a container

A tabbed seal as well as a method of manufacture is provided for sealing containers such as bottles, jars and the like. The tabbed seal is formed with a lower sheet-like structure having a non-foam, heat-distributing layer thereon.

A building material comprising a substrate layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, where the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer includes expandable graphite.

Dissolvable thermal direct adhesive label and methods of assembly and use of the same
09767714 · 2017-09-19 · ·

A label assembly including one or more dissolvable thermal direct adhesive labels and methods of assembly and use. According to one embodiment, each label includes a base layer, a thermal direct layer, an adhesive layer, and a barrier layer. The base layer, which has an upper surface and a lower surface, is water-dissolvable and may be made of a water-dissolvable paper. The thermal direct layer is positioned directly over the upper surface of the base layer and functions in the conventional manner to produce markings therein in response to heat. The adhesive layer is water-dissolvable and is positioned below the lower surface of the base layer. The barrier layer, which is positioned directly below the lower surface of the base layer and directly over the adhesive layer, serves to prevent migration of the adhesive layer through the base layer and into contact with the thermal direct layer.

Control of bed bugs

A method of combating bed bugs and/or other insects in a locus containing or susceptible to presence of same, in which a DMSO-containing formulation is applied to the locus. Various pesticidal compositions are disclosed as useful for such purpose, including compositions in which DMSO is in combination with an alcohol and/or another pesticidal active agent. Compositions of the disclosure can be applied to a variety of loci, to effectively eradicate bed bugs for extended periods of time.

Stretch frame for stretching process

An apparatus comprising a frame and a pressure sensitive adhesive applied to at least a portion of the frame, where the pressure sensitive adhesive is arranged to bond a pre-strained film to the frame is disclosed. A method of making the apparatus also is disclosed. Also disclosed is a method of preparing a stretch frame for manufacturing electroactive polymer devices thereon.

Damping adhesive

Adhesive damping systems are described. A damping system for reducing the effects on a substrate caused by a disruption in the substrate environment includes an adhesive having a plurality of three-dimensional nanoparticles dispersed therein. The nanoparticles are configured to provide a controlled response to an applied force field. The system further includes a sensor which measures an amplitude and frequency spectrum of the disruption. In a use configuration, the sensor determines the amplitude and frequency spectrum of the disruption received by the substrate; and the applied force field is dependent on the amplitude and frequency spectrum of the disruption.

SHEET, MOISTURE-PROOF METHOD OF ADHEREND USING THE SHEET AND CORROSION-PROOF METHOD OF METAL PLATE USING THE SHEET

The present invention provides a sheet having an elastomer layer having a Shore A hardness of less than 40, wherein the elastomer layer has an adhesion force to stainless steel of not more than 11 oz/in at 90 degree peel strength.

Adhesive patch and method of use in a packaging system

An adhesive patch and method of use thereof for forming a plurality of stackable items into a vertically stacked load are described. The method may include delivering an aligned stack of items positioned on a pallet for eventual transportation while minimizing the misalignment of the stackable items.

Interface Transition and Environmental Barrier

An interface transition for use in compression in connection with panels where air and/or water penetration is undesirable having a first body, a second body, an adhesive layer positioned intermediate the first body and the second body, and an impregnation into at least the first body, wherein the combination of the bodies, adhesive layer and impregnation reduces the air leakage rate therethrough and moisture infiltration therein after the interface transition is compressed to a width 75% of its uncompressed width. The interface transition may include an extension member for splicing and construction of a four-way intersection.
