A transition module for an energy recovery ventilator unit. The module comprises a frame having two opposing major surfaces with two separate through-hole openings therein. The module also comprises a self-sealing surface on one of the major surfaces and surrounding the two through-hole openings. One of the through-hole openings is configured to separately overlap with return air openings or supply air openings located in a first target side of one an energy recovery ventilator unit or an air handling unit and in a second target side of the other one of the energy recovery ventilator unit or the air handling unit. The other of the through-hole openings is configured to separately overlap with the other of the return air openings or the supply air openings located in the first and second sides.

A thermal ground plane in accordance with the present invention comprises a titanium substrate comprising a plurality of pillars, wherein the plurality of Ti pillars can be optionally oxidized to form nanostructured titania coated pillars, and a vapor cavity, in communication with the plurality of titanium pillars, for transporting thermal energy from one region of the thermal ground plane to another region of the thermal ground plane.

Intake drain system and method

A furnace system includes an air intake that includes a pipe portion and a seal component configured to couple with the pipe portion. The furnace system also includes an internal drain disposed internal to the air intake. The internal drain includes a trough configured to collect liquid flowing along an inner surface of the pipe portion. The internal drain also includes an opening in the trough configured to guide the liquid collected in the trough to a passage through the air intake to a location outside the air intake.

The feed injector also includes one or more mounting structures disposed along an outer perimeter of the feed injector. A column assembly for gas chromatography, which is coolable by a fluid, includes a capillary column, a heating element for heating at least a portion of the capillary column, and a tube having a lumen and in contact with at least one of the capillary column and the heating element. When energized, the heating element raises the temperature of the capillary column. To lower the temperature of the capillary column, a fluid flows through the tube, and heat is transferred from the capillary column to the fluid in the tube.
