Apparatus and method for exchanging a buoy bearing assembly
A buoy includes a turret coupled to a buoyant body using a bearing assembly; a deckhouse disposed on the buoyant body; and a bearing retainer configured to retain the bearing assembly and to releasably attach to the turret. The buoy may also include a locking mechanism having an inner opening in the turret, an outer opening in the buoyant body, and a locking member configured for insertion through the inner and outer openings. In one embodiment, the inner opening is out of alignment with the outer opening during operation of the buoy. The buoy may further include a detachable cover on the deckhouse, wherein the cover is configured to attach to the bearing retainer.
Portable shelters, related shelter systems, and methods of their deployment
Method of deployment of portable shelters is described. The shelters or housing units may be deployed in emergency housing situations and may be grouped into systems of shelters.
Method and system for installation and removal of ballast
A ballast system for heavy equipment including a ballast weight configured to be removably mounted, proximate to an end of a portion of the horizontal structure of the heavy equipment, at least one actuator mounted on the horizontal structure of the heavy equipment, operable between a first position and a second position, and oriented to actuate horizontally along at least a portion of the horizontal structure, at least one tension member that connects the ballast weight to the actuator and is configured to move the ballast weight vertically in response to the at least one actuator actuating along at least a portion of the horizontal structure; and a locking mechanism configured to removably attach the ballast weight to the end portion of the horizontal structure.
Golf club overgrip
An overgrip for a golf club is provided that includes a shell defining an interior and an open end, with a soft material disposed within the interior of the shell and capable of conforming to the shape of a club inserted into the interior through the at least one open end to engage the club. The shell can be formed with a pair of halves joined by a hinge to assist in the positioning of the club within the overgrip and can additionally include a locking mechanism to selectively hold the shell in engagement with the club positioned therein.
Wrapping material removal method
A material removal method for removing net wrap or twine from the outer surface of a bale of material. The method comprises the steps of cutting the net wrap or twine material along a length of the bale, placing a first spear (62, 162) of a material wind-up system (60, 160) between the bale and the material, rotating the material wind-up system to wind the net wrap or twine material around the first (62, 162) and a second spear (64, 164) and stripping the material from the first and second spears.
DETACHABLE SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR USE WITH MOBILE LIFT TABLE
An apparatus and method of use for supporting a fuel unit, the apparatus including: a frame including an attachment portion and a coupling portion, the attachment portion being configured to engage the fuel unit to thereby prevent lateral movement of the fuel unit relative to the frame, the coupling portion being configured to engage a lift table to thereby prevent lateral movement of the frame relative to the lift table; and a plurality of legs rotatably secured to the frame, each leg of the plurality of legs being configured to transition between an extended configuration and a retracted configuration, wherein the extended configuration is configured to allow a foot of a respective leg to contact a floor, wherein the retracted configuration is configured to prevent the foot of the respective leg from contacting the floor.
Apparatus and method for unpacking components in tape- and-reel
A device is provided for unpackaging components encased between a first tape body and a second tape body of a sealed tape. The device includes a component collection device including a cavity for receiving components falling out of the sealed tape being de-taped. A de-taping device is attached to the component collection device. The de-taping device includes a support base held over the cavity, and a shaft on one side of the support base. The support base with the shaft is configured to enable one of the first tape body and the second tape body to be extendable around the shaft and the support base and to be pullable, such that the first tape body and the second tape body are separated and the components fall out of the sealed tape. The support base may include a through-hole configured for sealed tapes to pass through and to be held.
SYSTEMS FOR INSERTING A FASTENER INTO A WAFER CARRIER
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for affixing and/or removing a fastener from a wafer-carrying pod. The system includes a robotic arm with a screw tool assembly disposed at the far end of the robotic arm. The screw tool assembly includes a lower sleeve configured to receive a fastener. A screwdriver is disposed within an upper sleeve of the screw tool assembly, and a motor is provided to rotate the screwdriver. In use, the screw tool assembly is positioned over the fastener so the lower sleeve surrounds the fastener and the screwdriver engages the fastener. The screwdriver unscrews the fastener from the pod, and the fastener head is received within the lower sleeve.
