A hole punch and a method for piercing a workpiece wherein a hole punch includes a sheet metal part and a piercing body attached thereto which carries out the piercing function and which is provided with a thread cylinder or can be provided with a thread cylinder, for example by pressing a threaded pin into a centrally arranged passage of the hole punch, wherein the hole punch can also be formed in one piece as a piercing body with a sheet metal-like flange. Furthermore a method is claimed for the manufacture of the hole punch.
Method of using a pierce nut insertion tool
A pierce nut insertion tool is provided. In another aspect, a pierce nut feeding mechanism has a mechanically independent driver actuator from that of a punch. A further aspect of the present tool employs a member, moveable with a punch, that retains a pierce nut prior to fastening of the nut to a workpiece. An additional aspect uses a fluid actuated nut feeder including a piston.
Method for joining two metal strip ends
A method and a device are provided for joining the ends of strips with two or more surfaces arranged flat on top of each other, more particularly metal sheets that can be coiled, in order to draw these successively through a treatment or machining system. It is provided that the strip ends are joined by means of a plurality of eyelets arranged essentially transversally to the strip direction, wherein initially all holes are simultaneously punched in a first stroke and then all eyelets are pressed in a second stroke. The device has a clamping device and a machining unit, which has a working tool with a plurality of punching and pressing tools, wherein the working tool and a die are displaceable by the distance between two neighboring individual tools and wherein above the punching and pressing tools, a pressing device is provided.
Cardiac valve prosthesis
A prosthesis for implantation at an implantation site proximate a native aortic valve, the implantation site including a valve annulus and a plurality of Valsalva sinuses located distal to the valve annulus. The prosthesis comprises an armature and a valve connected to the armature, wherein the armature includes a proximal portion configured for anchorage to the valve annulus, a distal portion configured to be positioned distal to the Valsalva sinuses when the proximal portion is anchored to the valve annulus, and first, second and third Valsalva sinus anchors each extending between and connecting the proximal and distal portions and arching radially outward between the proximal portion and the distal portion. The Valsalva sinus anchors are positioned so that each can extend into and engage a wall of a different one of the Valsalva sinuses.
Concrete anchor driver tool
The disclosed concrete anchor driver tool is coupled to a rotary hammer drill to install a concrete anchor. The tool includes a rod having multi-faceted bolt head end, such as a hexagonal bolt head end, and a socket having a multi-faceted opening in the socket end of the socket. The socket is slipped over the rod and held against the bolt head end of the rod by a compressible spring. The concrete anchor driver tool is operated by coupling the concrete anchor driver tool to a rotary hammer drill, slipping the socket over the concrete anchor, and operating the drill in the hammer mode to hammer the concrete anchor bolt into the concrete. The rotary hammer drill is then put in rotate mode and used to rotate the concrete anchor driver tool rod, which rotates the socket, which, in turn, tightens the nut on the concrete anchor.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FASTENER ELEMENT RETENTION AND INSTALLATION
A method and a device are disclosed which seek to improve productivity of the installation of fasteners. This improved productivity is achieved by holding a fastener to a driving tool with a mechanical means for a substantial portion of an installation sequence to prevent nuisance disengagement between fasteners and their driving means including dropping of fasteners early in an installation cycle. The productivity of this fastener holding approach is best realized by allowing a streamlined operation with little interaction between the fastener driving device and an operator. Specifically, a fastener installation device is described which requires no direct manipulation of said device during the sequence of loading a fastener into said device, installation of said fastener with said device, disengagement of said device from said fastener to allow complete installation of said fastener, and loading a subsequent fastener.
DIE BUTTON
A die button for the punching in and fastening of a fastener element having a piercing section to a planar workpiece, in particular a sheet metal part. The die button includes a jacket. Also included is a die plunger movably arranged in the jacket. Further included is a biasing device for pressing the plunger against the workpiece when the workpiece is supported on the jacket with a pressing force made available by the biasing device and selected such that the die plunger first moves when a slug has been detached from the workpiece by the piercing section of the fastener element.
PLASTIC FASTENER DISPENSING HAND TOOL HAVING A NOVEL ANVIL DESIGN TO REDUCE NEEDLE STICKS
An improved hand tool for dispensing plastic fasteners having a novel anvil design that reduces inadvertent user needle sticks during operation of the hand tool and a needle having a novel casing that further reduces inadvertent user needle sticks during the replacement of the hand tool needle. The hand tool has a gun shaped casing with a barrel portion and a handle portion. The casing has a needle assembly opening at the front of the barrel portion and a trigger slot at the front of the handle portion. The hand tool further has a hollow needle disposed on one end of a needle assembly. The needle assembly is slidably movable back and forth between a retracted position disposed substantially within casing and an extend position disposed substantially out of the casing through the needle assembly opening. The hand tool further has a trigger that is pivotally mounted within the casing that extends out from the trigger slot. The trigger is capable of moving the needle assembly between the retracted and extended positions. The hand tool further has an anvil. The anvil has a finger guide portion, a main portion, and a tag slot. The tag slot separates the finger guide portion from the main portion.

Method for producing an assembly unit
An assembly unit is produced according to the following method steps: an assembly part is provided which does not yet have a through bore. A disc-shaped welding element blank with a first end side, a second end side and a peripheral surface is stamped out of a sheet metal blank by a punch and a hole die so that the peripheral surface has a cylindrical longitudinal portion extending away from the first end side, and an adjoining cone portion which tapers towards the second end side and forms with this a cutting edge. The welding element blank is stamped with the cutting edge at the front into the assembly part to thereby form the through bore.
