Vapour barrier and insulation for wall box
A pre-formed covering for moisture-proofing and insulating a wall box (also called a vent box and exhaust box) and method of moisture-proofing and insulating a wall box using the pre-formed covering. The pre-formed covering is made of an air impermeable and insulating material, and is configured, shaped and dimensioned to fit over at least a portion of the wall box and be sealable to the wall box to minimize leakage of air and/or moisture from the wall box.
Worktop and a method and a support mechanism for supporting a worktop
A worktop (1) comprising a leaf (3) hingedly coupled to a wall (6) about a hinge axis (7) by a pair of support mechanisms (91) between a usable state and a folded state. Each support mechanism (91) comprises a first mounting member (93) and a second mounting member (92) which are pivotally connected by a main pivot pin (94) which defines the hinge axis (7). A strut (15) extends between the first and second mounting members (93,92). A first pivot pin (19) at a first end (17) of the strut (15) is slideable and pivotal in an elongated first guide track (96) in the first mounting member (93) between first and second positions (73,74). A second pivot pin (20) at a second end (18) of the strut (15) is pivotal in a slideable element (25), which in turn is slideable in a second guide track (14) of the second mounting member (92) between first and second positions (26,27). A plunger (40) in the slideable element (25) engages a receiving opening (43) in the second guide track (14) for retaining the slideable element (25) in the first position (23) for retaining the leaf (3) in the usable state. On disengagement of the plunger (40) from the recess opening (43), the leaf (3) is pivoted downwardly in the direction of the arrow (A) from the usable state to the folded state, and the slideable element (25) slides to a second position (24) in the second guide track (14) while the first pivot pin (19) slides from the first position (73) to the second position (74) in the first guide track (96).
Limiting movement
An apparatus includes first and second portions configured for relative movement; and a compression transmission arrangement extending between them and configured to enable movement of the first portion and the second portion towards each other and further configured to transmit compression forces between the first portion and the second portion to limit movement of the first portion and the second portion towards each other. The apparatus further includes a tension transmission arrangement extending between those portions which is configured to enable movement of the first portion and the second portion away from each other and further configured to transmit tension forces between the first portion and the second portion to limit movement of the first portion and the second portion away from each other. Both transmission arrangements may be on the same side of an equilibrium plane of the apparatus.
Undermount drawer slide position adjustment apparatus and method of use
An undermount drawer slide mounting clip releasably attaches a drawer to a drawer rail assembly mounted in a cabinet carcass. The apparatus is capable of effecting positional adjustments of the drawer in three directions without removing the drawer from the cabinet carcass. The apparatus is comprised of a body slidingly engaged with a bonnet. A trigger pivotally connected between the body and the bonnet. A spring loaded catch slidable within the bonnet and acted on by the trigger to releasably attach the apparatus to a drawer rail assembly. A threaded spindle rotates within the base and adjusts the horizontal position of the drawer. A ramp adjustably connected to the base adjusts the vertical position of the drawer. A plunger extends from a housing connected to the body and is adjacent the drawer rail assembly. A lever pivotable within the housing moves the plunger and adjusts the depth of the drawer.
High capacity solar charging umbrella with wireless charging
A solar charging umbrella uses solar power to charge electronic devices wirelessly, such as by a wireless or inductive charging port. The umbrella is self-sustained, capable of charging electronic devices in locations away from electrical outlets. The umbrella has a rechargeable battery that is recharged by sunlight. When charged, the umbrella's battery can charge devices when sunlight is not available. The umbrella supports simultaneous charging of higher power devices such as tablet computers.
Linear motion assembly, improved wiper and scraper assembly therefor and methods of assembly thereof
A wiper and scraper assembly for a linear motion assembly has a wiper and a scraper constructed from separate pieces of material. The wiper has a width extending between opposite sides with an opening extending through the opposite sides, with a first helical thread of the wiper being received in an external groove of a screw of the linear motion assembly. The scraper is disposed in the opening of the wiper, and has a second helical thread received in the external groove of the screw. The wiper has at least one lubrication return plow extending into one of its opposite sides, with the lubrication return plow facing axially inwardly into a nut of the linear motion assembly. The wiper has at least one debris ejection plow formed in the first helical thread, with the debris ejection plow facing axially outwardly from the ball nut.
Method of riveting
A method of inserting a rivet into a workpiece comprises moving the rivet and workpiece relative to one another, along a longitudinal axis of the rivet, so as to drive the rivet into the workpiece. The rivet is rotated about its longitudinal axis, relative to the workpiece, for at least part of the time during which it is in contact with the workpiece. The speed of said rotation, or the speed of movement along the longitudinal axis of the rivet, is altered at least once before driving of the rivet into the workpiece is complete. One axial end of the rivet has a tip for piercing the workpiece, and the rivet has a substantially cylindrical shank extending longitudinally from the tip. The shank has one or more surface irregularities.
Minimizing and maximizing between landscape dual display and landscape single display
Methods and devices for minimizing and maximizing displayed output associated with applications are provided. More particularly, an application presented across two or more screens of a device in a landscape mode can be minimized to present portion of the application in one of the screens. With respect to a maximization operation received with respect to a page of an application results in the expansion of the displayed portion of the application to multiple screens of the device. Input to effect minimization and maximization operations can be entered in one or more gesture capture regions associated with the screens.
Easily disassembled folding knife
A folding knife includes a handle and a blade. The handle includes a first side portion and a second side portion. The blade is pivotably coupled to the handle and pivotable relative to the handle about a pivot axis between a closed position and an open position. The first side portion of the handle comprises a first portion and a second portion, the second portion slidable relative to the first portion in a longitudinal direction that is perpendicular to the pivot axis and parallel to a longitudinal axis of the first portion, between a first position and a second position. When the second portion is in the first position, the first portion is prevented from rotating relative to the second portion and the second side portion, and when the second portion is in the second position, the first portion is rotatable relative to the second portion and the second side portion.
Mount System
A mount system and method of manufacture for e.g. a machine vision camera is disclosed. The mount system comprises a rectangular base, a lower clamp disc, an upper clamp disc, a tilting plate, an expansion clamp, and an O-ring. The expansion clamp comprises a tapered head screw and an expandable mandrel, both typically made of stainless steel. The mount system facilitates improved machine vision by enabling effective mounting of machine vision cameras in smaller spaces and/or spaces requiring unusual angles and intricate positioning. The mount system is also advantageous in inhospitable environments having harsh environmental factors. The mount system is also easier for machine vision personnel to learn and understand.
