Balloon assemblies having controllably variable topographies
Various embodiments provide a device comprising a balloon assembly including a balloon, a film template, and a rigid element. The film template may have a fixed upper distension limit and may include at least one aperture. The rigid element may lay substantially flush with an outer surface of the balloon at a first inflated state of the balloon. The first upper distension limit of the balloon may be greater than the fixed upper distension limit of the film template and the balloon may outwardly protrude through the at least one aperture at a second inflated state. The rigid element may be extended in a radial direction away from the outer surface of the balloon as the balloon outwardly protrudes through the at least one aperture relative to the outer surface of the film template.
Galvanized upper coupler assembly
A method of making a vehicle coupler assembly comprises the steps of assembling together a coupler assembly, the coupler assembly comprising a coupler grid plate and a kingpin coupled together with the coupler grid plate and extending below a bottom surface of the coupler grid plate and after assembling together the coupler grid and the kingpin, applying a coating to at least a portion of the coupler assembly.
Spill containing refrigerator shelf assembly
The specification discloses a method for containing spills on shelving and the like, and the resulting support members made in accordance with the method, by providing the generally flat top surface of a support with a hydrophobic surface which is arranged in a spill containment pattern and which is generally in the plane of the top surface of the support. The majority of the top surface of the support consists of one or more spill containment areas which are of a non-hydrophobic nature and which are bounded by the hydrophobic surfaces, such that spills on the shelving collect in the non-hydrophobic spill containment area or areas and are prevented from spreading by the hydrophobic surfaces.
DOUBLE COUPON REFERENCE CELL AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
A cathodic protection device enclosing a reference cell and a conductive media and having two coupon assemblies mounted, facing opposing direction, on an exterior surface thereof is disclosed. The coupon assemblies each have a disc-shaped coupon seated in a coupon jacket and are electrically coupled to a wire. The coupon jacket is formed from a blank having a first surface and an opposing second. A pocket as a recess is machined into the first surface, a groove is machined into the opposing second surface and an aperture is machined through the bottom of the pocket and opens into the groove. A disc-shaped coupon assembly was threaded through the pocket and aperture to seat the disc-shaped coupon in the pocket and a wire in the groove with the electrical junction therebetween aligned with the aperture.
PERSONALIZED PROSTHESIS AND METHODS OF USE
A personalized prosthesis for implantation at a treatment site of a patient includes a self-expanding mesh or membrane having collapsed and expanded configurations. The collapsed configuration is adapted to be delivered to the treatment site, and the expanded configuration engages the personalized prosthesis with the treatment site. The mesh or membrane is personalized to match the treatment site in the expanded configuration, and has an outer surface that substantially matches the treatment site shape and size. The self-expanding mesh or membrane forms a central lumen configured to allow blood or other body fluids to flow therethrough. Methods of manufacturing and delivery of the personalized prosthesis are also disclosed.
Double coupon reference cell and methods of making same
A cathodic protection device enclosing a reference cell and a conductive media and having two coupon assemblies mounted, facing opposing direction, on an exterior surface thereof is disclosed. The coupon assemblies each have a disc-shaped coupon seated in a jacket and are electrically coupled to a wire. The jacket is generally patch-sized and defines a pocket in a first surface and a groove in a second, opposing surface thereof. The disc-shaped coupon is seated in the pocket and the wire is seated in the groove with the electrical junction therebetween aligned with an aperture connecting the pocket to the groove. A sealing material is used to form a watertight seal between the disc-shaped coupon and the pocket and fills the groove. The device includes a hydrophilic porous member having a first surface in communication with the conductive media and a second surface in communication with an external environment.

METHOD OF COVERING A PORTION OF A FASTENER PROTRUDING FROM A SURFACE
A method of covering a portion of a fastener, protruding from a surface, that comprises providing a cap comprising a wall, a base, an interior, at least partially delimited by the wall and the base, and pawls, located in the interior of the cap. The method further comprises coupling a tooth to the fastener, covering the portion of the fastener with the cap, and positively engaging the pawls with the tooth, such that the pawls are loaded in tension against the tooth.
