EAR AND NOSE CLEANING DEVICE
The present invention discloses an ear and/or nose cleaning device comprising a handle including at least one cartridge. The cleaning device further comprises at least one cleaning tip having a spiral body, at least one curved shape feature, a set of bristles, or a combination thereof. The spiral body can include one of an oval shape arrangement and a cylindrical shape arrangement. The handle is configured to couple with the at least one cleaning tip using a connection mechanism. Furthermore, the present invention also discloses the cleaning tip for use in an ear and nose cleaning device.
SURGICAL CLEANING DEVICE
A surgical cleaning device and method of use having a housing, a drive shaft rotatably mounted, having a rear end and a front end, a brush head positioned at the front end and arranged outside the housing, to which a plurality of elastically deformable bristles are attached, a pump connected with the drive shaft for pumping a rinsing liquid, a gearbox that is connected with the front end of the drive shaft and with a rear end of the tube and which translates the rotational movement of the drive shaft into an oscillating linear movement of the tube and the brush head, wherein the tube is mounted movable in a linear manner; the brush head in the region of the elastically deformable bristles has at least one ejection opening, wherein the tube opens liquid-permeably through the at least one ejection opening in the direction of the elastically deformable bristles.
Device with a peristaltic pump unit which can be coupled
A device for supplying and/or aspirating a fluid substance to or from a human or animal body is provided, which device has a drive unit with a drive, an attachment part, and coupling element. The attachment part has a peristaltic pump unit with a pump head having roller elements which are movable freely and independently of one another and serve for rolling on a hose. The coupling element serves to transmit a movement from the drive to the pump head. The pump head has a decoupled state in which the roller elements apply no or a comparatively low mechanical pressure to the hose, and a coupled state in which the roller elements are pressed by the coupling element against the hose with a comparatively high mechanical pressure.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A FLUID PUMP, AND OPHTHALMIC SURGICAL SYSTEM WITH SAME
A cartridge for a panel of an ophthalmic surgical system for treating an eye is configured for insertion in a cartridge accommodation region of the panel and has at least one fluid pump for conveying a treatment fluid, the fluid pump has a pump chamber and a drive chamber separated from the pump chamber with a partition element that is at least regionally deflectable, wherein a drive fluid is feedable to the drive chamber and the treatment fluid is feedable to the pump chamber. The partition element has at least one plate element made of an at least electrically conductive or at least ferromagnetic material, said plate element also being deflected in the case of a deflection of at least one region of the partition element. Further, a panel and an ophthalmic surgical system are provided.
NASAL IRRIGATION DEVICE AND SYSTEM WITH FAUX COLLAPSIBLE CARTRIDGE ELEMENT
A nasal irrigation device communicates an irrigant to a device user and comprises a mechanics module and a reservoir assembly wherein a source of saline comprising a cartridge is disposed within the mechanics module adjacent a lid assembly for piercing the cartridge upon closing of a lid for releasing the cartridge contents into the reservoir assembly. A faux collapsible cartridge for testing operability of a nasal irrigation device comprises a housing including a shaft, a spring biased rod extending from the housing shaft, and a flange depending from a housing wall whereby the rod and flange are disposed to actuate a trigger assembly of the nasal irrigation device.
Dual pump arthroscopic irrigation/aspiration system with outflow control
A fluid pump system having a first fluid pump for pumping fluid from a source to a surgical site and a second fluid pump for removing fluid from the surgical site at a first predetermined rate, wherein said fluid pump system intermittently operates in conjunction with a surgical tool which, when operational, removes fluid from the surgical site at a second predetermined rate greater than said first predetermined rate, the improvement including a sensor for sensing a predetermined parameter of the surgical tool and providing an output signal indicating that the surgical tool is operating; and an actuating means responsive to said output signal to actuate said second fluid pump to remove fluid from the surgical site at second predetermined rate.
Wound therapy system with wound volume estimation
A volume of a wound is estimated using a dynamic pressure response measured during instillation of fluid to the wound using a negative pressure wound therapy system. A previously estimated wound volume may be used to detect and prevent overfill of fluid to the wound during future instillation events. For example, real-time pressure measurements may be compared to model data representative of expected pressure at a wound having a volume equal to the previously estimated wound volume, with instillation being stopped if the observed pressure varies from the expected pressure. A comparison of a total volume of fluid instilled to the wound may also be compared to the previously estimated wound volume to prevent overfill. The comparison of wound volume estimated based on an instillation event may also be compared to a wound volume estimated using other methods to provide a higher confidence wound volume estimate.
Skin treatment device for balancing pH value of skin
A skin treatment device and a method to cleanse and balance pH value of skin. The skin treatment device includes a nozzle to be directed into contact with the skin of a subject. A vacuum pump may be operably coupled to the nozzle for generating a suction force of the nozzle to evacuate impurities from the skin. A liquid replenishing assembly may be operably coupled to the nozzle for atomizing liquid at a pre-defined pH value. The liquid from the liquid replenishing assembly may pass into the nozzle based on the pre-defined pH value. The first control valve may be connected to an outlet of the vacuum pump and an outlet of the liquid replenishing assembly for communication with the nozzle.
Fecal management systems and methods
Fecal management methods and apparatuses (e.g., devices, systems, etc.) may apply one or more fecal removal cycles of suction and irrigation (and in some examples air) to actively remove fecal material. The apparatus may control the timing of delivery of the fecal removal cycles as well as the parameters of the applied suction, irrigation and/or air within and between fecal removal cycles.
MULTI-FUNCTION IRRIGATION-ASPIRATION TUBING FOR OCULAR SURGERY DEVICES
A device for ocular surgery includes a surgical handpiece including a power cord and an aspiration needle for removing ocular material from an eye, and co-extruded tubing. The tubing includes an aspiration tube for receiving the ocular material removed from the eye by the surgical handpiece, an irrigation tube integrally formed with the aspiration tube for supplying irrigation fluid to the surgical handpiece, and a ridge defined along at least a majority of a length of the co-extruded tubing, the ridge defining a groove for receiving the power cord of the surgical handpiece.
