The device comprises a tubular member having an interior surface configured to receive bone material and a fluid to mix the bone material disposed within the tubular member. The tubular member is flexible and has a proximal opening configured to slidably receive a plunger, and a distal opening configured to dispense a mixed bone material from the interior surface of the tubular member. The plunger is less flexible than the tubular member. Methods of mixing and dispensing bone material are also provided.
Auto-Injector Apparatus
An auto-injector apparatus includes a flexible container containing a liquid medicant, a needle communicated with a container, a housing with a container being received in the housing, a pump disposed in the housing and positioned to engage the flexible container and expel the medicant from the container through the needle upon relative movement between the pump and the container, and a main drive spring operably as ted with the needle to extend the needle fro a first needle position wherein the needle is completely received in the housing to a second needle position wherein the needle protrudes from the housing. The pump may be a roller.
Medicant injection device
A medicant injection device includes a compressible body, a tip, and an outer luer body. The compressible body has a proximal end, a distal end, and a plurality of bellows, and defines an inner cavity for holding a liquid medicant. The tip is positioned at the proximal end of the compressible body. The outer luer body includes internal threads, and is positioned over and engaged with the tip to form a first fitting therewith. The first fitting is configured to be connected with a second fitting. A medicant injection device includes a compressible body having first and second arms, a receptacle interconnected with the compressible body and defining an inner cavity, and a first fitting configured to engage a second fitting. The compressible body is configured to be compressed by forcing the distal end of the first and second arm toward each other.
SYRINGE WITH ROLLING DIAPHRAGM
A syringe for a fluid delivery system includes a pressure jacket having a distal end, a proximal end, and a throughbore therebetween. The syringe further includes a rolling diaphragm having a proximal end with an end wall for engaging a plunger, a distal end received within the throughbore of the pressure jacket. The distal end of the rolling diaphragm has a nozzle and a sidewall extending between the proximal end and the distal end of the rolling diaphragm along a longitudinal axis. At least a portion of one of the sidewall and the end wall has non-uniform thickness. At least a portion of the sidewall is flexible and rolls upon itself when acted upon by the plunger such that an outer surface of the sidewall at a folding region is folded in a radially inward direction as the plunger is advanced from the proximal end to the distal end of the rolling diaphragm.
Devices and methods for delivering a lyophilized medicament
An apparatus includes a housing, an actuator, a lock mechanism, and a medicament container. The lock mechanism selectively engages a portion of the housing such that (1) the lock mechanism is maintained in a substantially fixed position when the housing is in a first orientation and (2) the lock mechanism is removable from the housing when the housing is in a second orientation. The medicament container is moved in a proximal direction when the lock mechanism is removed from the housing to mix a first medicament portion contained within the medicament container with a second medicament portion contained within the medicament container. The actuator can be moved from a first position to a second position when the lock mechanism is removed from the housing to release energy stored within an energy storage member such that the medicament container is moved in a distal direction.
NEEDLE DRAWING ASSISTANCE APPARATUS
A needle drawing assistance apparatus. The apparatus includes a first planar member defining a first end and a second end and a second planar member having a proximal end and a distal end. The second planar member is secured to the first end of the first planar member at the proximal end of the second planar member via a hinge. The hinge is configured to allow the needle assistance apparatus to be freely movable between an active position and an inactive position. The inactive position is defined where the first planar member rests parallel and in contact with the second planar member. The active position is defined where the first planar member defines an angle greater than zero degrees with the second planar member.
BONE MATERIAL MIXING AND DISPENSING DEVICES AND METHODS
A device for mixing and dispensing bone material is provided.
Prefilled disposable injection device
The present invention relates to drug delivery systems that cannot be reloaded or reused and further include a passive safety shield system. The drug delivery devices described herein comprise a drug container comprising at least one bellow, wherein the at least one bellow comprises a first surface and an opposing second surface, wherein the first surface is comprised of a first Belleville spring and the opposing second surface is comprised of a second Belleville spring, wherein the second Belleville spring has a higher spring rate than the first Belleville spring; or a drug container extending between distal and proximal ends, and comprises a continuous change in cross section from proximal end to distal end; a needle, wherein the needle is in liquid communication with the drug container; a plunger extending between a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the plunger is in communication with the drug container and where upon axial movement of the punger, the drug container is compressed; a main body extending between a proximal end and a distal end and comprising an inner body and an outer body, wherein the inner body houses the plunger and the drug container and the outer body is capable of sliding over the inner body and extending past the needle; and a spring located between the inner body and the outer body for urging the outer body to slide over the inner body and extend past the needle.
Injection device
An injection device has a plunger for displacing a stopper in a syringe or carpule, a holder for the plunger, a drive for the axial displacement of the holder of the plunger, and a control device functionally assigned to the drive. The plunger, or at least a subcomponent thereof, relative to the holder, the holder is able to move over a limited distance relative to the plunger or a subcomponent thereof, opposing a pretensioning force, in that a sensor device is included which detects the relative position of the plunger, or at least a subcomponent thereof, relative to the holder, which comprises at least one sensor element which works together with the control device. The control device is designed such that, upon activation of the sensor element, the speed of advancement of the holder of the plunger is at least reduced.
Veterinary syringe for multiple injections
A trigger operated syringe (100) for intramammary injection of antibiotics has a fluid containing syringe cartridge (203) activated by a plunger (206) which is inserted into the syringe cartridge (203A) and expels fluid when the trigger (205) is pulled. A syringe cartridge holding mechanism (223) holds the syringe cartridge in place until the trigger (205) is released and the plunger (206) retracted. Single syringe cartridge (203) and multiple syringe cartridge (204) versions are disclosed. The plunger moves in a direction which is effectively perpendicular to the direction of movement of the trigger, allowing for ease of injection to a cow's teats, and ejection of the spent cartridges.
