In one aspect the present disclosure relates to a sensor for measuring at least one physical or chemical parameter of a cartridge or syringe filled with a liquid substance. In further aspects the disclosure relates to a cartridge equipped with such a sensor as well as to a drug delivery device equipped with such a cartridge, wherein the sensor comprises: a planar flexible foil arrangeable to an outer circumference of a barrel of the cartridge or syringe, at least a first and a second measuring electrode arranged on said foil, and at least a first and a second contact electrode arranged on said foil, wherein the first contact electrode is connected to the first measuring electrode and wherein the second contact electrode is connected to the second measuring electrode.
System and method to store, load and administer a compound via an ampule
A system includes: a body including an internal cavity and an internal reservoir; a holder configured to hold an ampule and configured to be slidably received in the cavity; and a clip configured to connect to the holder, wherein the holder is configured to slide into the cavity to a first position when the clip is operatively connected to the holder, and wherein the holder is configured to slide into the cavity to a second position when the clip is not connected to the holder. A method includes manufacturing the system. Another method includes administering an injection using the system.
AUTOMATIC INJECTOR WITH NEEDLE COVER
An auto-injector automatically dispenses a predetermined dose of medicament upon activation. The auto-injector includes a needle cover operative to engage an injection site and activate the injector. The needle cover is configured to move from a locked retracted position prior to a medicament dispensing operation to a locked extended position after the medicament dispensing operation. The non-removable needle cover prevents contact with the needle both before and after the medicament dispensing operation.
Medicine injection devices and methods
A reloadable medicine injector and methods are described in which a barrel with a receiving cavity is adapted to slidably receive a syringe subassembly for axial movement therein. Upon removal of a safety and release of a syringe driver, the syringe driver moves forward and injects the syringe needle. A plurality of penetration controls are shown for controlling injection needle penetration depth. The penetration controls have an abutment and various lengths to provide different needle penetration depth positions. In one form of penetration control a sleeve is used against which the syringe or related parts contact. In another form the front return spring is used as a penetration control. A cushioning ring may be used to reduce syringe breakage. A load distribution and guide ring may be used to distribute loading applied to the syringe and help guide the moving syringe.
MEDICAL VIAL AND INJECTOR ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF USE
A medical liquid vial is disclosed with a resilient inner bladder and a prestress member located with the bladder. Injector assemblies are also disclosed for injecting the vial contents into a patient by advancing the vial through a series of stages or positions. Methods of filling and use are also disclosed.
MEDICAL VESSELS WITH VALVES AND VALVE LOCK-UNLOCK MECHANISMS
The present invention relates, in some embodiments thereof, to devices, systems and methods for establishing a fluid passageway between vessels. In some embodiments, the invention provides a system for the engagement and establishment of fluid passageway between vessels, the system comprises a first vessel comprising a valve; and a second vessel configured to be coupled to the first vessel; wherein the second vessel comprises a valve unlock mechanism configured to unlock/open the valve, and wherein at about the time of or following the engagement between the first and second vessels, the valve unlock mechanism unlocks/opens the valve, allowing a fluid transfer between the vessels.
Versatile syringe platform
Apparatus and methods for medicament delivery. The apparatus may include, and the methods may involve, a delivery device for delivering a target amount of the medicament from a distal end of the device. The device may include a rod for moving a plunger that discharges the medicament from the distal end. The device may avoid or reduce deformation of the plunger during the discharge. The plunger motion may be stopped by detent that interacts with the rod. The apparatus and the methods may provide an operator indication of progress of stages of operation. The device may feature triggers corresponding to stages of medicament displacement from the device, such as pre-delivery stages, including priming.
A Container for at least a First Injectable Medicament and Injection Device
The present disclosure relates to a container (10) for at least a first injectable medicament (60), the container comprising:an elongated body (11) having a tubular-shaped sidewall (12) extending along a longitudinal axis (z) and having a distal end (13), wherein the elongated body (11) comprises a hollow space (15) with a needle receiving subsection (17) adjacent to the distal end (13),an outlet (40) at the distal end (13) of the body (11),a piston (20) arranged inside the elongated body (11), sealingly engaged with the sidewall (12) and slidable along the longitudinal axis (z) relative to the sidewall (12),a membrane (30) arranged inside the elongated body (11) sealingly engaged with the sidewall (12) and being at least one of slidable and deformable along the longitudinal axis (z) relative to the sidewall (12),a first cavity (16) confined by the sidewall (12), the outlet (40) and the membrane (30), wherein the first injectable medicament (60) is located in the first cavity (16),a second cavity (18) confined by the sidewall (12), the piston (20) and the membrane (30), wherein the piston (20) and the membrane (30) are separated from each other by a distance along the longitudinal axis (z),wherein the outlet (40) is configured to receive or to hold a needle (50) extending from the distal end (13) into the needle receiving subsection (17), andwherein in an initial configuration, the membrane (30) is located outside the needle receiving subsection (17) and wherein the membrane (30) is displaceable or deformable relative to the sidewall (12) to such an extent that at least a portion (31) of the membrane (30) enters the needle receiving subsection (17).
