Compressible and expandable blade for a fluid pump
The invention relates to a compressible and expandable blade (2) for the rotor of a fluid pump (30) having at least two lamellae (3, 4, 5) which are disposed adjacently, are pivo table respectively relative to an axis of rotation (Ia) of the rotor and moveable relative to each other, and abut against each other in the expanded state of the blade such that they form together a continuous blade surface.
Blade row poisitioning device, blade-device combination, method and turbomachine
A device such as a drum for positioning at least one guide blade row from a plurality of guide blade groups in a turbomachine, the device on the outer circumferential side including at least one flange for attachment to a housing section of the turbomachine and on the inner circumferential side including a plurality of uniformly distributed receptacles for accommodating holding elements of the guide blade groups and a plurality of recesses, the device having a depth-reduced inner circumferential section, relative to the accommodating grooves, between at least two adjoining receptacles, which extends in each case from the one receptacle to the other receptacle; a blade-device combination; a method for assembling such a blade-device combination; and a turbomachine.
COMPOSITE AIRFOIL ASSEMBLIES AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Methods of manufacturing airfoil assemblies include forming an airfoil core comprising a foam to define an airfoil shape extending in a first direction and having a pressure side and a suction side extending in a second direction, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction, between a leading edge and a trailing edge; and electroforming a metal alloy onto an exterior surface of the airfoil core to define an external airfoil shell.
Wind turbine blade assembled from inboard part and outboard part having different types of load carrying structures
A blade (10) for a rotor of a wind turbine (2) is disclosed. The blade is assembled from an inboard blade part (50) closest to the hub and an outboard blade part (110) farthest from the hub of the wind turbine. The inboard part (50) comprises a load carrying structure (60) with a first aerodynamic shell (70) fitted to the load carrying structure (60), and the outboard part (110) comprises a blade shell (141, 143) with a load carrying structure (142, 144) integrated in the blade shell (141, 143).
Blade cascade for turbo machine
A blade cascade for a turbomachine, in particular a gas turbine, including multiple identical blade groups which are situated next to each other and which each include a first individual blade (10) having a vane (12) having a blade profile and a first side wall (11), and a second individual blade (20), which differs from the first, having a vane (22) having a blade profile and a second side wall (21), the first and second side walls (11, 21) having different contourings.
Method for the new production of through holes in a layer system
Introducing a through hole into a substrate (4) before coating, and performing the removal thereafter, shortens the machining times for producing a through hole (18) with a diffuser (13) and also subjects the intermediate layers to less stress.
Bulkhead Arrangement for a Wind Turbine Blade
A bulkhead assembly for a wind turbine blade is described, wherein a pressure relief conduit is provided at the bulkhead to allow for pressure to equalise across the bulkhead. This helps to prevent faults or cracks in the bulkhead assembly due to differences in pressure on either side of the bulkhead. Furthermore, liquid traps and/or filter media can be accommodated in the conduit to prevent the passage of liquids or other matter across the bulkhead.
Method of fabricating a composite material blade having internal channels, and a composite material turbine engine blade
A turbine engine blade made of composite material including fiber reinforcement obtained by weaving a first plurality of yarns with a second plurality of yarns, the yarns of the first plurality of yarns being arranged in successive layers and extending in a longitudinal direction of the fiber blank corresponding to a longitudinal direction of the blade, the reinforcement being densified by a matrix. The blade includes one or more internal channels extending in the longitudinal direction of the blade.
Joint assembly and method of forming thereof
A joint assembly includes a first component formed from a first material and a second component including a portion that extends at least partially into the first component and that has an uneven outer profile. The first material is configured to form the first component into a shape that is substantially complementary to a shape of the portion to facilitate restricting movement of the second component in an axial direction.
COMPOSITE AIRFOIL BONDED TO A METALLIC ROOT
The present disclosure relates to composite airfoils bonded to a metallic root. A composite body (510) may be formed with a metallic co-molded detail (520). The co-molded detail (520) may be transient liquid phase (TLP) bonded to an attachment feature (530). The attachment feature (530) may allow the composite body (510) to be attached to a rotor (200). The airfoil (500) may also have a metallic edge (550) which is TLP bonded to the composite body (510) via a co-molded edge (540).
