Shoe positioning plate for bicycle shoes
A shoe positioning plate has a shoe facing side surface, a sole surface and a shoe positioning member. The sole surface is configured to be a part of a shoe sole when the shoe facing side surface is attached the shoe sole. The shoe positioning member includes at least one abutment disposed on an opposite side of the shoe positioning plate from the shoe facing side surface and extending in an elongated direction of a shoe when the shoe positioning plate is attached the shoe sole.
Pedal with detachable shoe platform and adjustable toe clip
A pedal that includes a pedal body having a clipless structure and a member. The clipless structure includes a lip at a first portion of the pedal and a cleat at a second portion of the pedal. The pedal includes a detachable shoe platform having a cleat portion securable to the lip and a clip securable to the member. The detachable shoe platform may include an adjustable toe clip having a strap, which wraps around a shoe of a rider. The strap is adjustable by an adjustable strap fastener assembly having a lever coupled to a plate secured in a housing. The lever includes a first end biased against the strap and a second end engaged by a trigger. The trigger is operable to move the lever from a closed position to an open position against the bias force, thereby releasing the strap for adjustment.
Reconfigurable foot clip apparatus and method of use
A reconfigurable foot clip having a foot receiver having (i) a base with a foot abutment surface and a bicycle abutment surface on opposite sides of the base, and (ii) a center axis extending from a proximal end to a distal end of the foot receiver. The reconfigurable foot clip also includes a pair of sidewalls extending upward from the foot abutment surface, each of the pair of sidewalls have an uppermost perimeter portion extending toward another one of the pair of sidewalls. The reconfigurable foot clip also includes a fastening member (i) having a bicycle abutment wall extending downward from the bicycle abutment surface, and (ii) operable to secure the reconfigurable foot clip to a portion of a bicycle in one of a plurality of modes, each of the plurality of modes defined by an orientation of the foot clip and the bicycle.
Bicycle pedal
A bicycle pedal comprises a pedal axle, a main pedal body, a coupling mechanism and a cleat movement restricting member. The main pedal body is rotatably supported on the pedal axle. The coupling mechanism includes a first cleat securing member and a second cleat securing member. The first cleat securing member is configured to be coupled to a front portion of a cleat. The second cleat securing member is configured to be coupled a rear portion of the cleat. The cleat movement restricting member is configured to restrict movement of the cleat in at least one direction between a frontward direction and a rearward direction. The cleat movement restricting member is further configured and arranged relative to the coupling mechanism such that the cleat movement restricting member guides the cleat during a cleat disengagement operation in which the cleat detaches from the coupling mechanism.
Complex cleat for clipless pedal
Disclosed is a cleat for being releasably secured to a clipless pedal. The cleat includes a base plate, a front engagement member, a rear engagement member and an anti-slip pad. The base plate is used for being fastened to a sole of a shoe and has a front tip, a rear end and a middle area between the front tip and the rear end. The front engagement member is mounted on a top side of the front tip. The rear engagement member is mounted on a top side of the rear end. The anti-slip pad is mounted on a bottom side of the middle area. Both the front engagement member and the rear engagement member are higher than the base plate in hardness and the base plate is higher than the anti-slip pad in hardness.
Bicycle pedal system
Implementations of the present invention comprise devices, systems, components, and methods for use with bicycle pedals. For example, implementations of the invention provide a bicycle pedal system that efficiently and easily allows a cyclist to securely engage an engagement assembly located on the spindle with a cleat. In particular, implementations of the present invention provide an engagement assembly with a first and a second grabber. The first grabber and second grabber are easily guided to come into contact with protrusions located on the cleat such that the engagement assembly securely engages the cleat, thus allowing a cyclist to take advantage of both down-strokes and up-strokes, while at the same time providing an easy and efficient way for the cyclist to engage the pedals.
PEDAL WITH DETACHABLE SHOE PLATFORM AND ADJUSTABLE TOE CLIP
