GUIDEWIRE INCLUDING AN ELONGATED BODY WITH A FLEXIBLE DISTAL SECTION
A guidewire comprising: a core wire defining a longitudinal axis; and an elongated body extending along the longitudinal axis, the elongated body defining: an inner lumen configured to retain a distal portion of the core wire and a plurality of openings, wherein each opening of the plurality of openings defines an arc defining a radius of curvature and a concave portion facing a distal end of the elongated body or a proximal end of the elongated body, and wherein the radii of curvature of the plurality of openings varies along the longitudinal axis.
MEDICAL GUIDE WIRE
In a medical guide wire having a connecting structure formed by three members: a tubular connector; a first core; and a second core, when a torsional rigidity of one member is lower than the torsional rigidity of the materials of both end portions, for example, the twist is unevenly generated between the members and the rotation transmission performance to the distal end side is significantly reduced. In such a case, there is a technical problem for improving the rotation transmission performance to the distal end side. In the connecting structure formed by three members, as a result of focusing on the torsional rigidity of the three members and considering the torsional rigidity ratios between the members, the technical problem for improving the rotation transmission performance to the distal end side can be solved when the torsional rigidity ratios satisfy a predetermined relation.
GUIDEWIRE HAVING CONDUCTIVE ELEMENTS
Guidewires having conductive elements are described where in one variation, the guidewire may be formed by disposing an insulative layer upon a surface of the guidewire core, and printing one or more conductive traces directly upon a surface of the insulative layer.
Safety Puncturing System
The present invention relates to a safety puncturing system comprising a cannula and a guidewire.
GUIDEWIRE DEVICES HAVING SHAPEABLE TIPS AND BYPASS CUTS
The present disclosure relates to guidewire devices having shapeable tips and effective torquability. A guidewire device includes a core having a proximal section and a tapered distal section. A tube structure is coupled to the core such that the tapered distal section extends into the tube structure. The tube structure includes a plurality of bypass cuts formed tangentially within the tube structure to increase the flexibility of the tube structure and to reduce the tendency of resilient forces from the tube structure to disrupt a shaped distal tip of the guidewire device.
GUIDEWIRE DEVICES HAVING DISTALLY EXTENDING COILS AND SHAPEABLE TIPS
The present disclosure relates to guidewire devices having shapeable tips and effective torquability. A guidewire device includes a core having a proximal section and a tapered distal section. A tube structure is coupled to the core such that the tapered distal section of the core extends into and distally beyond the tube structure. The portion of the core extending distally beyond the tube forms a shapeable tip. One or more coils also extend distally beyond the tube. The tip is configured to reduce the tendency of resilient forces from the tube structure to disrupt a customized shape of the tip.
GUIDEWIRE DEVICES HAVING SHAPEABLE POLYMER TIPS
The present disclosure relates to guidewire devices having shapeable tips and effective torquability. A guidewire device includes a core having a proximal section and a tapered distal section. A tube structure is coupled to the core such that the tapered distal section of the core extends into and distally beyond the tube structure. The portion of the core extending distally beyond the tube forms a shapeable tip. A polymer covering encompasses the tip. The tip is configured to reduce the tendency of resilient forces from the tube structure to disrupt a customized shape of the tip.
Guidewire and method of use
A guidewire formed from drawn filled tubing having an inner core member encased in an outer layer. The inner core member is formed from a linear elastic or superelastic material and the outer layer is formed from a metal alloy such as 35N LT. A portion of the outer layer is ground down to form a feather edged joint between the outer layer and the inner core member.
SPIRAL ENDOVASCULAR GUIDE WIRE
Provided herein is an endovascular guide wire comprising an elongated proximal section; a distal tip; and one or more intermediate sections disposed between the proximal section and distal tip. The one or more intermediate sections includes a three-dimensional spiral structure. The spiral structure can also be funnel-shaped. Also provided are systems include the endovascular guide wire and a catheter.
GUIDEWIRE INCLUDING A CORE WIRE LOCKING ELEMENT
A guidewire comprising: a core wire; an elongated member extending along a longitudinal axis and defining: an inner surface defining an inner lumen, a plurality of openings disposed along the elongated member, each opening extending from an outer surface of the elongated member towards the inner surface, a first locking recess extending through the elongated member from the outer surface to the inner surface, a second locking recess extending from the inner surface towards a second location on the outer surface, wherein the first locking recess and the second locking recess defines a locking channel; and a locking element disposed within the locking channel and affixed to the elongated member, the locking element defining an aperture configured to receive the core wire, wherein the locking element is configured to inhibit unintended proximal movement of the core wire along the longitudinal axis relative to the elongated member.
