Embodiments herein relate to medical devices and methods for using the same to treat cancerous tumors within a bodily tissue. A medical device system is included having at least one electric field generating circuit configured to generate one or more electric fields; control circuitry in communication with the electric field generating circuit, the control circuitry configured to control delivery of the one or more electric fields from the at least one electric field generating circuit; and two or more electrodes to deliver the electric fields to the site of a cancerous tumor within a patient. At least one electrode can be configured to be implanted. At least one electrode can be configured to be external. The control circuitry can cause the electric field generating circuit to generate one or more electric fields at frequencies selected from a range of between 10 kHz to 1 MHz.
Electrode assembly for nerve stimulation
The present invention relates to a an electrode assembly for nerve stimulation, in particular for the transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation, comprising at least one electrode and a bow-shaped holding portion which is designed to hold the electrode assembly at the ear of a patient.
WEARABLE MEDICAL DEVICE
Wearable devices for providing therapy to a patient may include disposable or reusable treatment pads. The treatment pads may include electrodes and are configured to apply energy to various regions around the head and eyes. The treatment pads may provide therapy when the eyes are open or closed. The wearable device may include a battery and/or control circuitry for issuing therapy pulses through the electrodes.
DEVICE AND METHOD TO MODULATE A NERVOUS SYSTEM STRUCTURE TO NON-INVASIVELY AND NON-DESTRUCTIVELY INHIBIT NERVOUS SIGNALING
The present disclosure is directed to a system and method modulating targeted neural and non-neural tissue of a nervous system for the treatment of head-and-face pain. Electrical stimulation is delivered transcutaneously to the treatment site that modulates the targeted neural- and non-neural tissue of the nervous structure, inhibiting nervous signaling and the perception of pain.
RF ELECTRODE CARTRIDGE FOR SKIN BEAUTY CARE TREATMENT AND HANDPIECE FOR SKIN BEAUTY CARE TREATMENT PROVIDED WITH SAME
Proposed is an RF electrode cartridge for skin beauty care treatment and a handpiece for skin beauty care treatment provided with the same. While being freely tilted for all ranges of 360 angle degrees around a ball joint part 140 within a radius thereof, the RF electrode body 120 moves in a state of being brought into close contact with the skin during the procedure, thereby preventing an accident that may occur while the RF electrode body 120 is spaced apart from the skin and in which damage to the skin tissue or burns to the skin may be caused. Accordingly, the present disclosure may greatly improve safety during a procedure.
TRANSCRANIAL STIMULATION DEVICE AND METHOD BASED ON ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL TESTING
The present method and system provides a neuromodulation therapy including receiving a plurality of input data relating to a patient, the input data including brain value measurements. The method and system includes analyzing the input data in reference to reference data generated based on machine learning operations associated with existing patient data and reference database data. Based thereon, the method and system includes electronically determining, a brain malady and a severity value for the patient and electronically generating a treatment protocol for the patient, the treatment protocol includes transcranial stimulation parameters. Therein, the method and system includes applying a transcranial stimulation using the transcranial stimulation parameters based on the treatment protocol.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR MAPPING PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY
To provide objective indications of the progression of peripheral neuropathy of patients, a transmitter apparatus is utilized to produce reproducible pulse signals to specified locations on the human body to determine a minimum level of stimulation necessary to elicit a consciously detectable sensation through the generation of a series of pulse signals of varying intensities, and the recordation of the number of pulse signals felt by the patient. Moreover, the nerve velocity of the patient is additionally determined for a patient via the transmitter apparatus and a receiver apparatus detecting body-signals passing along a nerve within the patient and corresponding to the pulse signals applied to the patient. The results of these tests are recorded over time, thereby enabling generation of patient-specific models indicative of the progression of the patient's peripheral neuropathy over time.
APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus for providing electrostimulation of a biological tissue, the apparatus comprising: a first electrical signal provider for providing a first alternating electric field in the biological tissue, the first alternating electric field having a first frequency; a second electrical signal provider for providing a second alternating electric field in the biological tissue the second alternating electric field having a second frequency; wherein the first alternating electric field and the second alternating electric field provide a combined field in the biological tissue, and the apparatus comprises a controller configured to provide variations of at least one of the first frequency and the second frequency so that the combined field provides a pulsed interferential stimulation signal.
ACUPOINT STIMULATION DEVICE AND ACUPOINT STIMULATION METHOD USING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to an acupoint stimulation device and an acupoint stimulation method using the same. The acupoint stimulation device includes: a power supply unit configured to supply power; a controller configured to generate an electrical stimulus signal applied to a skin of the subject; and an electrical stimulation unit including two or more electrodes configured to receive power from the power supply unit and to supply the stimulus signal to the acupoint area, wherein the electrodes are arranged in a state of being electrically insulated from each other and are in electrical contact with the skin of the subject. Thereby, it is possible to provide an appropriate amount of stimulation required for treatment and symptom relief by providing stimulation to an accurate acupoint position.
MODULAR ELECTRICAL THERAPY DEVICE
A therapeutic electrode component includes a base plate having a first side and a second side having a conductive surface. A repository having an internal volume to releasably retain a conductive fluid is disposed on the first side of the base plate. A rupturable membrane is disposed between the internal volume of the repository and the conductive surface of the base plate. A coupling is disposed on the base plate that is configured to detachably engage a gas charge, whereby the gas charge is detachable from the coupling without causing destruction of the gas charge, to provide a hermetic seal with an outlet of the gas charge, and to provide fluid communication between the internal volume of the repository and the outlet of gas charge when the gas charge is engaged by the coupling. A retainer is configured to detachably secure the gas charge to the base plate.
