LOW FRICTION REHABILITATION BOARD WITH AN INTEGRAL BAND RETAINING FEATURE AND METHODS OF REHABILITATION
A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a users limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.
Apparatus and Methods to Assist in Proper Footwork and Training
Devices and methods are provided for use in athletic training. The devices can be used to maintain appropriate distance between feet and or knees during athletic training. Additionally, the devices can be used in physical therapy for injury and surgery recovery; rehab as a result of stroke or other acute injury or illness; and/or geriatric usage for strengthening muscles, balance or coordination to improve mobility or balance and general health.
Devices and methods for exercising an ankle, foot, and/or leg
An exercise device includes a foot support portion pivotably connected to a leg support portion and having a neutral position relative to a pivot axis. The support portion is configured to rotate about the neutral pivot axis in a first direction away from the neutral position and in a second direction away from the neutral position. The second direction is opposite the first direction. The exercise device also includes a resistance mechanism configured to exert a force on the foot support portion about the pivot axis opposite to the respective first and second directions of rotation of the foot support portion about the pivot axis.
Foot stretching device
A foot stretching device having a base member, an upright member and a heelpiece. The base member has a top face, a bottom face, a first end, and a second end. In an assembled state, the upright member extends from the first end in a direction opposite the bottom face. The upright member and base member form a right angle. The heelpiece is removably attached to the top face of the base member between the first and second ends. During use, the device is arranged relative to a corner formed between a floor and wall of a room such that the bottom face of the base member rests on the floor and the upright member bears against the wall.
Workout devices and methods
A workout device that has an arcuate body having first and second ends, and one or more attachment points extending through the body, each attachment point for releasably attaching a load and for releasably attaching an anchor to suspend the workout device.
DEVICE FOR PERFORMING A STANDING PLANK EXERCISE
A device for performing a standing plank exercise includes an elongated main body having a first axial end and an oppositely disposed second axial end. The main body has at least two telescoping members that may be adjusted to vary the length of the main body and the corresponding degree of stress provided by the exercise or to adjust for the user's height. The device includes a support pad positioned at a fulcrum or pivot point on the elongated main body between the first axial end and the second axial end. A handle portion is mounted to or extends from the main body and is graspable by a user. An ankle strap is coupled to the elongated main body in proximity to the second axial end thereof and may encircle the ankles of a user. The device is oriented substantially vertically during an exercise regimen.
WEIGHT LIFTING DEVICE
The present subject matter is a weightlifting device that targets different parts of the body. The types of exercises which the device improves includes push-ups, running, walking, sit-ups, and pull-ups. The present subject matter also includes a more compact version that allows for use on the wrist and ankles.
Stretching apparatus
A stretching apparatus for use during a stretching exercise includes a strap and a ratchet device. The strap is configured to attach to a limb of a user. The strap extends through the ratchet device and the ratchet device controls tension in the strap. The ratchet device is positionable between a ratcheting position and a release position. The ratcheting position prevents movement of the strap in a first direction and allows movement of the strap in a second direction. The release position allows movement of the strap in the first direction. The stretching apparatus also includes a remote trigger connected to the ratchet device to move the ratchet device between the ratcheting position and the release position. The stretching apparatus removably connects to support structures and is adjustable between different positions for different stretching exercises.
Sports dumbbell
A sports dumbbell comprises a grip section (2), which runs along a grip shaft (L1), and a support shaft (L2) of a support section (3) spaced apart from the grip section (2) perpendicular to and running parallel to the grip shaft (L1). The support section is connected at at least one end to the grip section (2). The sports dumbbell has a center of gravity (S) which is arranged within the support section (3). A distance (d2) between the grip shaft (L1) and the support shaft (L2) is at least 11 cm, and an external shape of the sports dumbbell forms a closed annular body or open annular body.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL THERAPEUTIC HOSPITAL BED CONVERTIBLE INTO A STANDING AID
The invention relates to the field of medical technology, and more particularly to multi-functional hospital beds. The claimed structure comprises a vertical stand in the shape of an inverted L, which is connected to a folding bed. The bed has two sections, one of which can be folded onto the other, whereupon both sections can be folded to the vertical stand. A movable frame is disposed in the top corner of the stand, wherein said frame can be fastened in two positions: to the top part of the stand, and also at an angle of 45 degrees to the stand. A motor is provided, which pulls a cable. Said cable passes through the stand and the end of the movable frame. This provides two operating modes: Mode 1 is that of a bed. In this case, the frame is fastened to the stand, and the bed is unfolded. Traction or fixation can be applied to individual parts of a patient's body. Mode 2 is that of a standing aid. In this case, the bed is folded, and the frame is positioned at an angle of 45 degrees. The legs of the bed form a support, and the patient can be verticalized with the aid of the cable and a harness. The invention is simple and universal and is also capable of replacing several pieces of hospital equipment at once.
