Foot harness for lower body cable machine exercises
A foot harness is disclosed for use with cable machines to provide improved range of motion for lower body exercises. The foot harness includes a sole strap and a heel strap. The heel strap includes forward ends that attach to a cable. The forward ends rise at an angle from the plane of the sole so that the point of resistance for the exercise is emphasized on the foot rather than on the attachment point.
Exercising apparatus
Systems and methods for an exercise apparatus are provided and include a flexible elongated member, a binding apparatus, and a motor assembly. The binding apparatus is attached to the flexible elongated member and has a clamping mechanism configured to secure a shoe of a user of the exercise apparatus to the flexible elongated member. The motor assembly is disposed between the shoe and the flexible elongated member and is configured to cause the flexible elongated member to oscillate.
Exercise device and method of use
An exercise device comprising; a platform, a first limb attachment means, a first extendable cord attached to the first limb attachment means, the first extendable cord being at least partially located within the platform, and a tensioning means within the platform, wherein the tensioning means can be adjusted to alter the resistance of the first extendable cord to extension.
Exercise device for suspended body weight training
A pulley system of an exercise device for suspended weight training includes a first block with a first pulley, a second pulley, and a first attachment point. A second block is removably coupled to a weight and includes a third pulley and a second attachment point. A grip is configured to be held by a user while exercising and has a third attachment point. A line having a first line end is fixedly coupled to the grip and a second line end fixedly is coupled to a connection element. The connection element is configured to be selectively coupled to each of the first attachment point, the second attachment point, and the third attachment point, permits a user to reduce an effective amount of the weight lifted by the user with movement of the grip to a pre-selected fraction of the weight.
MULTIFACETED EXERCISE SYSTEM
A multifaceted exercise system is provided having several components, each capable of performing a different exercise. A vest worn by the exerciser has front segment and back segment, each segment having spaced apart O-rings and resistance bands secured by each O-ring adapted to be forced forward and laterally in order to exercise the chest. The back segment of the vest is provided with a panel member having roller receiving cavities each having fitted with a roller for performing a squatting exercise by moving the back panel member up and down a flat surface such as a wall. The back segment of the exercise device is also provided with a left O-ring and a right O-ring, a left resistance band having its upper end secured to the left O-ring and its lower end secured to the left foot, and a right resistance band having its upper end secured to the right O-ring and its lower end secured to the right foot. The exerciser can conduct abdominal exercises by removing the panel member from the back of the vest, placing it on a flat surface, and pushing and pulling the panel member using the hands of the exerciser.
Gluteus Maximus Power Lift Apparatus
The gluteal muscles are exercised using a vertical lift strategy. It is much improved over common buttock exercise methods of sitting, laying, squatting or pushing weight horizontally. The (GM) power lift apparatus is operated in a standing position. Using commercial exercise design methods, the GM power lift apparatus is designed around the lifting of a variable weight plate stack. Three pullies redirect the pull force of the weight plate under the operator's foot as lift on the gluteus maximus muscle group. The new standing design allows improved muscle agitation by making the gluteus maximus muscle group lift a vertical payload, the maximum angle of force. During the power lift stroke, the foot, leg and back muscles are vertically synchronized to horizontal stretched forearms providing greater strength management.
Sports Training and Physiotherapy Garments
A posture and movement training garment 100 comprises at least one elastic element 1-22 arranged to be stretched upon movement of the wearer's trunk and/or at least one of the wearer's limbs away from a predetermined rest or neutral position, thereby to provide the wearer with gentle elastic recoil sufficient to provide the wearer with additional kinaesthetic and/or touch feedback resulting from the movement, substantially without inhibiting the movement. A complementary sports training or physiotherapy garment 300 comprises a fabric base and pockets 50-55 for the reception of weights, the garment further comprising strips of relatively inextensible material 67 forming a network interconnecting the base material within the pockets, in which the majority of the strips run generally longitudinally of the wearer's limbs and torso and form a branched network with bases mainly originating at the wearer's shoulders and/or hips; and wherein the network does not completely encircle the wearer's limbs and torso. The weights may comprise a body 220 formed from an elastomer, in which the body contains an embedded plurality of pieces 216 of a harder, denser material, each piece having a minimum dimension of at least 1.5 mm and in which the individual pieces are movable relative to one another, whereby the body retains its flexibility.
Full Body Workout Device
The present invention relates generally to the field of exercise equipment. More specifically, the present invention relates to an improved full body workout device that is designed to allow a user to exercise every muscle in the body. The device is comprised of at least two pairs of weighted sliders for the hands and feet of a user, wherein each slider is comprised of a track ball that allows each slider to slide along a surface such as the ground. Each slider is further comprised of a plurality of controls to allow a user to lock the track ball in place to make each slider immobile, and may also be comprised of a control that allows a user to select the intensity of the exercise being performed with the device.
Human hand-crawling and foot-bounding apparatus
Height-adjustable apparatus using a spring to urge forward and rearward undulating whippy locomotion. A hand-crawling embodiment enables users to engage in all-fours crawling locomotion while the body is conventionally situated in a two-legged orientation. A foot-bounding embodiment enables walkers, joggers, runners and jumpers to engage in forward and backward whippy locomotion. A crutch embodiment enables crippled or injured users to likewise engage in whippy locomotion.
SUPPORT APPARATUS FOR A SUBJECT AND A METHOD FOR SUPPORTING A SUBJECT IN A SUBSTANTIALLY INVERTED STATE
Apparatus (60) for supporting a subject (2) in an inverted state comprises a ground engaging plinth (8) and a support platform (12) pivotally coupled to the plinth (8) about a first pivot axis (15) so that the support platform (12) is pivotal between a first state with a subject (2) in a supine state on the support platform (12) and a second state with the subject (2) inverted on the support platform (12). The subject is supported in the inverted state on the support platform (12) by shoulder engaging elements (24), and is secured to the support platform (12) by a torso strap (35). A foot engageable element (77) connected to a weight carrying bar (84) through connecting members (79,82) extending through an elongated slot (80) in the support platform (12) allows leg and abdominal muscles to be exercised by urging the foot engageable element (77) in the direction of the arrow A against weights (85) carried on the weight carrying bar (84). A carrier element (81) slideable on a guide bar (83) guides the foot engageable element (77). Handgrips (86) are connected by steel cables (87) around pulleys (88,89,90,91) to the weight carrying bar (84) for facilitating exercising of arm, shoulder, chest and back muscles.
