Flexible circuit electrode array
A flexible circuit electrode array with more than one layer of metal traces comprising: a polymer base layer; more than one layer of metal traces, separated by polymer layers, deposited on the polymer base layer, including electrodes suitable to stimulate neural tissue; and a polymer top layer deposited on the polymer base layer and the metal traces. Polymer materials are useful as electrode array bodies for neural stimulation. They are particularly useful for retinal stimulation to create artificial vision, cochlear stimulation to create artificial hearing, or cortical stimulation many purposes. The pressure applied against the retina, or other neural tissue, by an electrode array is critical. Too little pressure causes increased electrical resistance, along with electric field dispersion. Too much pressure may block blood flow.
Electrosurgical instrument
An electrosurgical instrument is manufactured by presenting an electrode, and attaching a sacrificial portion to the electrode to form a first electrode assembly. An insulating material is molded over the first electrode assembly to form a second electrode assembly, and the second electrode assembly is subjected to a further process which is capable of removing the sacrificial portion without removing the insulating material. The sacrificial portion is removed to form at least one cavity within the electrosurgical instrument.

A plug assembly for use in a process for manufacturing an insulated register box has a body having a bottom and at least one side wall extending upwardly from the bottom, a rotatable element at the bottom of the body, and an actuator connected to the rotatable element and positioned above the rotatable element. The rotatable element is adapted to seal an end of a duct in an interior of the box of the insulated register box. The rotatable element is movable between an installation position and a sealing position. The actuator is cooperative with the rotatable element so as to move the rotatable element between the installation position and the sealing position.

In the touch panel, a transparent conductive layer is partitioned by a height difference structure into first electrodes, an array of second electrode components and filling blocks. The array of second electrode components is connected serially by an array of conductive bridging lines so as to form several columns of second electrodes.

The present invention provides further a method of making a flexible circuit electrode array comprising depositing a polymer base layer; depositing metal on the polymer base layer; patterning the metal to form metal traces; depositing a polymer top layer on the polymer base layer and the metal traces; and preparing at least one tack opening.
INSULATED REGISTER BOX
A register box for HVAC installations has a body with a plurality of side panels arranged in a generally rectangular or square configuration and a wall extending across the rectangular configuration, a duct opening through the wall so as to communicate with an interior of the body, and an expandable foam polymeric material affixed to an inner side of the side panels. The wall has a surface extending from the opening of the duct to the side panels. The expandable foam polymeric material is affixed to the surface of the wall. The expandable polymeric material is polyurethane.
Insulated register box and method for forming an insulated register box
A register box for HVAC installations has a body with a plurality of side panels arranged in a generally rectangular or square configuration and a wall extending across the rectangular configuration, a duct opening through the wall so as to communicate with an interior of the body, and an expandable foam polymeric material affixed to an inner side of the side panels. The wall has a surface extending from the opening of the duct to the side panels. The expandable foam polymeric material is affixed to the surface of the wall. The expandable polymeric material is polyurethane.

A tunable three-dimensional (3D) inductor comprises a plurality of vias arranged with spacing among them, a plurality of interconnects in a metal layer, wherein the plurality of interconnects connect the plurality of vias on one end, and a plurality of tunable wires that connects to the plurality of vias on the other end to form the 3D inductor. The physical configuration and inductance value of the 3D inductor are adjustable by tuning the plurality of tunable wires during manufacturing process.

Process for forming a register box that is adaptable to ductwork of an HVAC system
A process for forming a register box has a body formed with a plurality of side panels arranged in a generally square or rectangular configuration with a wall extending transverse to the side panels. A plurality of circular areas are cut into the wall. An expandable polymeric foam material is introduced into an interior of the body. The body is positioned in a fixture such that the wall is juxtaposed against a surface of the fixture. A plug is inserted into the interior of the body. The expandable polymeric foam material is expanded in the interior of the body such that the expandable polymeric foam material solidifies across the wall and around the plug. The plug is then removed from the body and the body is then removed from the fixture.
