HANDHELD SURGICAL ENDOSCOPE
A handheld surgical endoscope has a disposable, single-use handle, cannula and an imaging module at a distal tip. A multiple-use display unit is removably mounted on and supported by the handle and includes a touch-sensitive display screen configured to respond to touch commands to control taking of images with the imaging module and further configured to display the images. The display unit and the handle include respective mechanical connectors that engage each other to removably mount the display unit on the handle by sliding motion relative to each other, and the display unit is removable tool-free from said handle for disposal of the handle and cannula after a medical procedure therewith.
HANDHELD SURGICAL ENDOSCOPE
A handheld surgical endoscope has a disposable, single-use handle, cannula and distal tip. The distal tip includes LED illumination and an imaging module that feeds live video to a re-usable display module that connects off-axis to the disposable handle. A rechargeable battery module also attaches to the handle. The cannula includes two lumens for separate fluid in-flow and out-flow channels, as well as providing a working channel through which a surgical implement can be used. Extruded cannula and molded distal tip parts can be separately formed which aids in manufacturing and assembly. The working channel can have a substantially straight proximal access port.
ELECTRICAL DEVICE POWER MANAGEMENT
An electrical device includes a memory storing a value indicative the remaining available rated capacity of one or more batteries. The stored value is changed in use to reflect reducing capacity. The initial stored value is chosen so that there is a very high (e.g. >99.9%) confidence that the one or more batteries will provide at least the capacity indicated by the initial stored value. This reduces the chance of failure during emergency procedures. The one or more batteries may be integral to the electrical device. An override facility is provided.
USER INTERFACE FOR A MEDICAL VISUALIZATION SYSTEM
A monitor device and a method of using the monitor device in a medical visualisation system including a visualisation device having an image sensor configured to generate image data indicative of a view, the monitor device configured to operate in a first interface orientation mode and a second interface orientation mode, wherein in the first interface orientation mode, a second portion is between a fourth housing side and a first portion, and wherein in the second interface orientation mode, the second portion is between a third housing side and the first portion.
Multifunctional visual oral cleaning instrument
The present disclosure relates to a multifunctional visual oral cleaning instrument that includes multiple functions of: a visual dental floss, and/or visual oral forceps, and/or a visual oral irrigator, and/or a visual toothbrush, and/or a detachable visual interdental brush. The dental floss, and/or oral forceps, and/or oral irrigator, and/or toothbrush, and/or interdental brush are/is connected with an oral viewer through a connecting mechanism. In one aspect, a visual oral irrigator includes an oral irrigator, an oral viewer, and a connecting mechanism. The oral irrigator is mounted on the oral viewer through the connecting mechanism. The oral viewer further includes a housing, a power supply system, a lighting system, a viewing system, a circuit system, and a switch.
Docking System with Inductive Powering for Capsule Camera
A capsule endoscopic system is disclosed, where the system comprises a capsule device and a docking device. The capsule device comprises a battery, a secondary coil, and a capsule housing to enclose the battery and the secondary coil in a sealed environment, where the capsule device consists of a first end and a second end in a longitudinal direction of the capsule device, and the battery is located in proximity to the first end and the secondary coil is located in proximity to the second end. The docking device comprises an opening on the docking device, a primary coil to generate an alternating magnetic field, and a primary core. The capsule endoscopic system is arranged so that at least a portion of the secondary coil is enclosed by the primary coil and the battery is outside the primary coil when the capsule device is at the docked position.
The capsule endoscopic system is arranged so that the primary coil is wrapped around at least a portion of the primary core.
Optical Docking System with Inductive Powering for Capsule Camera
A capsule endoscopic system is disclosed, where the system comprises a capsule device and a docking device. The capsule device comprises a battery, a secondary coil, an optical transmitter all enclosed in a capsule housing. The docking device comprises a primary coil to generate an alternating magnetic field, a primary core and optical receiver to receive an optical signal. The alternating magnetic field is coupled to the secondary coil to supply power to the capsule device when the capsule device is at a docked position in the docking device. The primary core is arranged to concentrate the alternating magnetic field on the secondary coil when the capsule device is at the docked position. Furthermore, the capsule endoscopic system is arranged so that an optical path is formed between the optical transmitter and the optical receiver when the capsule device is at the docked position.
Medical device illuminator and charging system
A portable medical illuminator is configured for attachment to a medical device wherein the illuminator includes an illuminator housing and a light source disposed in relation to the housing. A portable rechargeable power supply is connected to the light source, and an inductive charging coil is disposed within the illuminator housing to enable contactless charging of the contained portable power supply.
USING AN INTRAORAL MIRROR WITH AN INTEGRATED CAMERA TO RECORD DENTAL STATUS, AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
Disclosed embodiments integrate a camera into an intraoral mirror. Integrating a camera into an intraoral mirror provides an efficient way to record and display what is visible to the healthcare provider in the mirror.
