WEARABLE DEVICE INCLUDING STRUCTURE FOR PREVENTING NOISE CAUSED BY STATIC ELECTRICITY
A wearable device is provided. The wearable device is used by being attached to a user's skin. The wearable device includes a main body unit having a housing and a substrate, the substrate being arranged inside the housing, an electrode unit including a sensing electrode connected to the main body unit, and a patch unit including one or more conductive members, the one or more conductive members being configured to electrically connect the electrode unit to the user's skin. The electrode unit includes a shielding layer that is not electrically connected to the main body unit. The shielding layer is conductive with a floating potential.
Transdermal microneedle continuous monitoring system
Transdermal microneedles continuous monitoring system is provided. The continuous system monitoring includes a substrate, a microneedle unit, a signal processing unit and a power supply unit. The microneedle unit at least comprises a first microneedle set used as a working electrode and a second microneedle set used as a reference electrode, the first and second microneedle sets arranging on the substrate. Each microneedle set comprises at least a microneedle. The first microneedle set comprises at least a sheet having a through hole on which a barbule forms at the edge. One of the sheets provides the through hole from which the barbules at the edge of the other sheets go through, and the barbules are disposed separately.
METHODS OF MODIFYING MICRONEEDLES AND NEEDLES FOR TRANSDERMAL ELECTROCHEMICAL DETECTION OF IONS AND (BIO)MOLECULES
The disclosure relates to two methods to modify microneedles and needles to transform them as electrochemical sensors for ions and biomolecules. The methods focus on microneedles and needles made of any material through an external and internal modification methods to provide the function as electrodes: the working electrode, (pseudo)counter electrode and/or (pseudo)reference electrode depending on the electrochemical readout. With the external modification method, any solid microneedle and needle can be individually transformed in either of the said electrodes. With the internal modification method, any hollow microneedle and needle can be individually transformed in either of the electrodes. The working electrode, (pseudo)counter electrode and or (pseudo)reference electrode can be simultaneously integrated into the same hollow microneedle or needle by internal compartmentation. Two different biofluids can be simultaneously targeted by microneedles and needles of different sizes, structures and fabricated by one or both methods when integrated in the same skin patch.
BODY TEMPERATURE MEASURING PATCH USING INFRARED TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Disclosed is a body temperature measuring patch using an IR temperature sensor. The present embodiment provides a body temperature measuring patch using an infrared temperature sensor, which enables the body temperature to be measured more accurately and quickly when a body temperature is continuously monitored by applying a surface mounted device (SMD)-type infrared (IR) temperature sensor and thus implementing a patch-type thermometer.
Orthopedic system for pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative assessment
An orthopedic system configured for use in a pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative assessment. The orthopedic system comprises a first screw, a second screw, a first device, a second device, and a computer. The first device and the second device are respectively coupled to a first bone and a second bone of a musculoskeletal system. The first and second devices each include electronic circuitry, one or more sensors, and an IMU. A bracket, wrap, or sleeve can be used to hold the first and second devices to the musculoskeletal system. The first and second devices are configured to send measurement data to a computer. The first and second devices each have an antenna system. Electronic circuitry in the first or second devices are configured to harvest energy from a received radio frequency signal to recharge a battery to maintain operation.
SYSTEMS AND APPARATUSES FOR PROTECTING CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING AND INSULIN INFUSION DEVICES
Systems and apparatuses for securing and protecting diabetes management devices, such as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices and insulin infusion sets. An apparatus comprises a base having multiple pairs of arms which can be attached to a band. The apparatus also comprises a shell for retaining a diabetes management device and which may be unitarily formed with, or removably attached to, the base. A system may include an apparatus, a diabetes management device retained in the shell of the apparatus, and a band attached to the base of the apparatus. The band may be placed around a body part of a user, such as an arm or the abdomen. A system can include an adhesive patch which can adhere to the shell of an apparatus and which has an adhesive layer overlaid with multiple liners having cutlines formed therebetween.
METHOD AND SYSTEM OF DEPLOYING A WEARABLE TRANSDERMAL BASED VEHICLE IGNITION INTERLOCK
A system and method of deploying an ignition interlock system. The method comprises identifying a wearable transdermal device in response to initiating wireless communication between a controller device of a vehicle system and the wearable transdermal device; receiving a transdermal alcohol measurement transmitted from the wearable transdermal device; and generating, in accordance with the transdermal alcohol measurement being above a predetermined intoxication threshold, a vehicle ignition lockout state of the vehicle system.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSOCIATING SYMPTOMS WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS
Disclosed is a system for associating a symptom with a medical condition. The system comprises a server arrangement, associated with a user device. The server arrangement is operable to: provide, to user device, a set of user activities; receive, from user device, information relating to selection of a user activity from set of user activities; receive, from user device, user input associated with selected user activity; analyse user input and assign performance score thereto; identify, based on performance score, one or more symptoms; and assign severity score to symptom for associating symptom with medical condition. Disclosed also is method for associating symptom with medical condition and computer program product to execute aforementioned method.
INSERTION DEVICE
Embodiments relate to an insertion device that includes: a plunger coupled with a lock collar. The insertion device houses contents including: a striker including self-locking striker snap arm(s) where the striker is kept from firing by a striker spring captured between the plunger and the striker when the insertion device is in a cocked position; a sensor assembly; and a needle carrier that holds a piercing member, the needle carrier captured between the striker and a needle carrier spring where a self-releasing snap(s) keeps the needle carrier cocked, where the plunger prevents the self-releasing snap(s) from repositioning and releasing the needle carrier. The striker fires the needle carrier such that the self-locking striker snap arm(s) are positioned to allow the striker to snap down. The needle carrier is then retracted when the user releases the plunger and the piercing member is encapsulated within the insertion device.
