A helicoil interference fixation system comprising: a helicoil comprising a helical body comprising a plurality of turns separated by spaces therebetween, the helical body terminating in a proximal end and a distal end, and at least one internal strut extending between at least two turns of the helical body; and an inserter for turning the helicoil, the inserter comprising at least one groove for receiving the at least one strut; the helicoil being mounted on the inserter such that the at least one strut of the helicoil is mounted in the at least one groove of the inserter, such that rotation of the inserter causes rotation of the helicoil.

Bone plate for attaching to an anatomic structure

A plate for attaching to an anatomic structure with fasteners. A body defines openings for receiving the fasteners, and includes a bottom surface that is concave. The plate includes bone pad surface, and a spike extends away from the bone pad surface. The bone pad surface is oriented at an angle relative to the bottom surface to prevent further penetration of the spike into the anatomic structure beyond a predetermined depth. The bone pad surface may be oriented at an obtuse angle relative to the bottom surface. The bone pad surfaces may be planar or concave, or contoured to a corresponding profile of the anatomic structure. The spikes may be pyramidal or conical. At least one side of the spike may be integral and continuous with the bottom surface. The side may have a radius of curvature equal to that of the bottom surface.

Femur plate

A femur plate is provided, the femur plate comprising a first end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a trochanter region of the femur and a second end portion anatomically pre-formed to conform to a condyle region of the femur, wherein the second end portion comprises at least one first opening configured to receive a bone fastener. The femur plate further comprises an elongate shaft extending from the first end portion to the second end portion, the elongate shaft comprising at least one second opening configured to receive a bone fastener. Furthermore, a periprosthetic implant system comprising the femur plate and a method of implanting the femur plate are provided.

A bone plate for treating acromioclavicular dislocations includes a shaft including a lateral portion sized and shaped to be positioned along a superior aspect of a lateral clavicle, the shaft including a plurality of openings extending therethrough for receiving bone fixation elements therein and a hook member extending from the shaft so that, in an operative position, the hook member is hooked under an acromion and the lateral portion of the shaft is positioned on the superior aspect of the lateral clavicle, the lateral portion of the shaft being substantially rounded so that the hook member is movable in one of an anterior direction and a posterior direction while the shaft maintains contact with the superior aspect of the lateral clavicle without any portion of the lateral portion of the shaft protruding beyond a surface of the lateral clavicle.

Pre-contoured buttress plate for posterior wall acetabular fractures

An improved posterior acetabular wall fracture buttress plate has a main plate and a plate extension. The buttress plate has a pair of arms extending from the main plate and an arm extending from the plate extension. The main plate and the plate extension are pre-contoured with a concavity contoured and bent lengthwise off horizontal relative to the main plate to mimic a hip socket contour posteriorly along an undersurface at about 38 degrees plus or minus 8 degrees to mimic a curvature of the hip to yield an angle on the undersurface of 142 degrees plus or minus 8 degrees. The arms are 1.0 cm or less wide. The plate extension extends from the main plate and has at least one transverse groove defining a breakaway section allowing the plate extension to be removed from the main plate.
