SOLUBLE FOOD DELIVERY SYSTEM
Disclosed herein is a package having: a housing defining a body and a container; a frangible closure which, in combination with the body, defines a soluble compartment; a frangible closure which, in combination with the container, defines a water compartment separate from the soluble compartment; a quantity of a soluble contained within the soluble compartment; and a quantity of water contained within the water compartment and which, if mixed with the soluble contained in the soluble compartment, produces an ingestible.
Vial adaptor and fluid transfer system
A vial adaptor comprises first and second housings coupled to each other, a sheath enclosing the first and second housings, and a spike disposed in the first and second housings. The first and second housings form a first chamber therein. The sheath and the first and second housings form therebetween a second chamber in air communication with the first chamber. The second housing is slidable relative to the first housing to cause the spike piercing through a front stopper to establish air and fluid communication with a vial attached to the vial adaptor, meanwhile to vary the volume of the first chamber and press the air into the second chamber. Upon a fluid being drawn from the vial, the air in the first and second chambers enters the vial to compensate the pressure reduction caused by the fluid drawn out to prevent fluid spillage or aerosolizing from the vial.
PEDIATRIC DOSING DISPENSER
A package that is configured to store and dispense fluids. The package includes a container and a dosing dispenser for closing an opening to the container. The dosing dispenser includes a closure removably coupled to the container and an anti-suction valve fixed to the container that is configured to minimize formation of a complete seal between a user's mouth and an upper surface of the anti-suction valve so that sufficient suction to remove fluid from the container is blocked.
SEALED ASSEMBLY FOR PILL CRUSHING AND DELIVERING AND METHOD FOR USING THEREOF
A sealed assembly for pill crushing and delivering and a method for using thereof are provided. The assembly includes: a connecting valve with different diameters, including a first end, a valve and a second end provided with a syringe-abutting interface, wherein, an opening diameter of the first end is larger than that of the second end; and a pill-crushing carrier including a sealed cavity having only one filling-in opening, the pill-crushing carrier has a first state when separated from the connecting valve and the filling-in opening is exposed for pills delivering into the carrier, and a second state when the filling-in opening is connected to the first end of the connecting valve, crushed and dissolved pill powders in the sealed cavity can be taken out through the connecting valve. The assembly can crush pills and dissolve powders in a sealed cavity, deliver powder-dissolved liquid and prevent powders from dispersing.
Aseptic connector
An aseptic connector assembly includes a body portion having a receptacle configured to receive a corresponding fill connector. A pivot portion is movably coupled to the body portion, the pivot portion having a channel formed therein. A conduit portion is slidably disposed within the channel formed in the pivot portion. The pivot portion has a ready position and an operative position, the pivot portion being adjustable from the ready position to the operative position via relative movement with respect to the body portion.
Device for collecting a sample of a liquid contained in a container, associated container, and use of this container
The invention relates in particular to a device (100) for collecting a sample of a liquid in a container, characterized in that it has: a housing (10) with a longitudinal axis (AL); a component (20, 20′, 20″) comprising: a body (26) provided with at least one channel (21) having a proximal end (21p) and a distal end (21d); a receptacle (24) fixed with respect to the body (26) and situated in the continuation of the proximal end (21p) of said at least one channel (21), said component (20) being mounted rotatably with respect to the housing (10) about the longitudinal axis of this housing (10) between a closure position, in which the distal end (21d) of said at least one channel (21) is closed by the housing (10), and an open position, in which the distal end (21d) of said at least one channel (21) is able to establish a fluidic communication with the container; and an elastic valve (30) housed in the receptacle (24).
SYRINGE FOR DRUG MIXING KIT, DRUG MIXING KIT, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A drug mixing kit according to a disclosed embodiment for mixing a first content in a liquid form in a first container with a second content in a liquid or powder form in a second container includes: a syringe forming therein an accommodation space in which a liquid is accommodated; and a drug mixing device coupled with the syringe and forming therein a drug flow path extending from one end configured to allow the liquid in the accommodation space to flow into the drug flow path therethrough to other end configured to allow the liquid in the second container to flow into the drug flow path therethrough.
Binary connector for drug reconstitution
A connector is configured to connect a drug container with a solution container and permit contents of the drug container to be combined with the solution container. The connector has a connector body with a first coupling for fluid connection with the drug container. The first coupling defines a first fluid passage. The connector body also has a second coupling for fluid connection with the solution container. The second coupling defines a second fluid passage. A control valve has a movable valve body that defines a third fluid passage. The valve body is positionable relative to the connector body in a first position, in which the first fluid passage is sealed from the second fluid passage. The valve body is also positionable in a second position, in which the first fluid passage is connected in fluid communication with the second fluid passage by the third fluid passage.
SOLUTION COLLECTION DEVICE WITH EVALUATION ELEMENT
A blood testing device for detecting hemolysis in a blood sample is described. The blood testing device comprises an housing for containing the blood sample. The housing has a treatment window and an optical zone formed therein. The blood testing device further includes an acoustic transducer positioned to selectively generate acoustic forces directed into the treatment window of the housing and a control unit for selectively actuating and deactuating the acoustic transducer to permit colorimetric analysis of plasma within the blood sample.
Access and vapor containment system for a drug vial and method of making and using same
A safety vial system has a vial adapter subsystem irreversibly mountable to the top of a vial containing a hazardous medicament and a vial base subsystem sealingly engaging a lower portion of the vial adapter subsystem and telescopically movable therein from a first position providing a path for gas sterilization around the vial to a second position wherein the path is closed to form a sterilized expandable, neutral pressure bellows chamber around and below the vial. The device has a removable top cap, a pierceable barrier film, a normally closed needleless valve in fluid communication with a dual lumen spike initially disposed above the film and a frangible product integrity ring holding the activation housing in place for sealed telescopic movement on a main body that surrounds the vial. The user pulls the product integrity ring and removes it, and then pushes the activation housing axially downward until it clicks to lock the device in the activated position wherein both lumens of the spike are in communication with the inside of the vial. The user removes the top cap on the activation housing assembly, and then uses a needleless syringe with an adapter thereon to add diluent and mixes if needed and withdraw drug from the vial via the valve.
