METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR IMPROVING THE QUALITY AND DURABILITY OF COLOR IN ARTIFICIALLY COLORED HAIR
The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods for improving the quality and durability of color in artificially colored hair. The methods employ salts of hydroxy-polycarboxylic acids. The salts of the hydroxy-polycarboxylic acids are incorporated into a pre-color treatment composition (a composition applied to the hair prior to coloring the hair) or added directly to the coloring composition (in-color treatment composition). The salts add alkalinity to the coloring process. Hydroxy-polycarboxylic acids are incorporated into a post-color treatment composition (a composition applied to the hair after coloring the hair). The salts and the acids act as chelators, fixing the dye molecules to the hair, thereby imparting color fading resistance to the hair.

Cosmetic compositions and methods for changing the color of keratinic fibers are provided herein. In an embodiment, a cosmetic composition for lightening the color of keratinic fibers includes at least two separately packaged formulations (A) and (B), which are mixed immediately prior to application to give an application mixture. The formulation (A) includes at least one dye chosen from the group of oxidation dye precursors, direct dyes, or a combination thereof. The composition (B) is a flowable composition including water and at least one oxidizing agent. Formulation (A) has been packaged in a water-soluble film including, based on its total weight, at least about 60% by weight of a polymer mixture having a multimodal molecular weight distribution.

Oxidation dyeing process using a substrate bearing at least one oxidation dye, several preservatives and an oxidizing aqueous composition
Oxidation dyeing process using a substrate bearing at least one oxidation dye, several preservatives and an oxidizing aqueous composition The present invention relates to a process for the oxidation dyeing of keratin fibres, in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, comprising a step of application, to said keratin fibres, i) of a substrate comprising on its surface one or more oxidation dyes, one or more thiolated reducing agents and one or more organic reducing agents of reductone type, and a step of application, to said keratin fibres, ii) of an oxidizing aqueous composition comprising one or more oxidizing agents. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing said substrate. The invention also relates to an element in sheet form, pretreated by a composition comprising one or more oxidation dyes, one or more thiolated reducing agents, and one or more organic reducing agents of reductone type.
Oxidation dyeing process implementing a pretreatment based on a composition rich in fatty substances and on metal catalysts
The present invention relates to a process for the oxidation dyeing of keratin fibers implementing: a) a step of pretreating said fibers by application to said fibers of a cosmetic composition (B) comprising: i) at least one fatty substance in an amount of greater than or equal to 10% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition (B); and ii) at least one metal catalyst; b) optionally a washing, rinsing, drying and/or rubbing-dry step; c) followed by a step of dyeing by application to said fibers of a cosmetic composition (A) comprising: i) at least one oxidation base, preferably chosen from para-phenylenediamines, bis(phenyl)alkylenediamines, para-aminophenols, ortho-aminophenols, heterocyclic bases preferably comprising at least two nitrogen atoms, and addition salts thereof; ii) optionally at least one coupler; and iii) at least one chemical oxidizing agent. The dyeing process makes it possible to significantly improve the dyeing properties of the coloration, in particular in terms of selectivity, of chromaticity, and of color intensity and uptake. The use of a composition which is rich in fatty substances, i.e. greater than 10%, and contains at least one catalyst pretreatment, before oxidation dyeing, allows a clear improvement in the dyeing properties, in particular in terms of dye uptake onto keratin fibers, of strength and of chromaticity and of selectivity of the color.
Oxidation dyeing process using a composition rich in fatty substances which comprises metal catalysts and couplers
The subject of the present invention is a process for the oxidation dyeing of keratin fibers, in particular human keratin fibers such as the hair, implementing: a) a step of treating said fibers by application to said fibers of a cosmetic composition (A) comprising: i) at least one fatty substance in an amount of greater than 10% by weight relative to the total weight of the composition (A), at least one metal catalyst; ii) at least one coupler; iii) optionally at least one oxidation base, preferably chosen from para-phenylenediamines, bis(phenyl)alkylenediamines, para-aminophenols, ortho-aminophenols, heterocyclic bases, addition salts thereof and solvates thereof; b) optionally a washing, rinsing, drying and/or rubbing-dry step; c) a step of treatment by application to said fibers of an oxidizing cosmetic composition (B) comprising at least one chemical oxidizing agent; and it being understood that steps a), b) and c) can be carried out successively a), then b), then c), or else a) then c), followed by b).
