A medical pump includes a reader configured to read drug identification information, a storage unit that stores the drug identification information read by the reader, a notification unit, and a control unit, in which when the reader reads drug identification information anew while the drug identification information is stored in the storage unit, the control unit compares the drug identification information being stored in the storage unit with the drug identification information read anew by the reader, and when the drug identification information being stored in the storage unit does not match the drug identification information read anew by the reader, the control unit causes the notification unit to notify of non-matching between drugs.

Dose setting mechanism and method of setting a dose
A dose setting mechanism for a drug delivery device. The mechanism may comprise a drug delivery device housing. A dose dial component is positioned in the housing and rotatable during dose setting and dose delivery. A split threaded insert is in threaded engagement with the dose dial component. The insert can transform from a first configuration to a second configuration when the dose dial component is rotated. In one dose setting mechanism arrangement, the first configuration may comprise a first open configuration and the second configuration may comprise a second closed configuration.
Apparatus and method for measuring and recording the quantity of medicament remaining in a medicament dosing device
The present invention concerns an apparatus (1) for measuring and recording the remaining quantity of medicament in a medicament dosing device (2). The apparatus (1) has a location where the medicament dosing device (2) can be inserted. Combined with that location the apparatus (1) has equipment for measuring and analysing. The apparatus is characterised in that this equipment for measuring and analysing comprises a contact image sensor (3) combined with that location for the medicament dosing device, and a software in connection with the contact image sensor. In addition the object of this invention is the corresponding method for measuring and recording the remaining quantity of medicament in a medicament dosing device (2).

The present invention relates to an injection device comprising a torsion spring operatively connected to a dose setting member being adapted to set a dose to be ejected from the injection device. A rotatably mounted display member adapted to display the dose to be ejected in accordance with a setting of the dose setting member is also provided. The rotatably mounted display member is adapted to be rotated over an angle corresponding to at least one revolution of the display member. The display member may be implemented as a dose indicator barrel having numerals arranged along a helical path on an outer surface thereof, or alternatively, as a counting device having two or more display wheels having numerals arranged on an outer surface thereof.
Syringe holder for medication dosing
A syringe holder for facilitating dispensing of medication to a patient from a syringe. The syringe holder includes a cylindrical housing configured to be attached to a barrel portion of the syringe. A first visual dosing aid on a surface of the cylindrical housing is of a first color and has a plurality of first dosing segments where the first color is correlated to a first patient size. Each of the first dosing segments identifies a volume of the medication corresponding to a first medication dose. A second visual dosing aid on a surface of the cylindrical housing is of a second color and has a plurality of second dosing segments where the second color is correlated to a second patient size. Each of the second dosing segments identifies a volume of the medication corresponding to a second medication dose.

The present disclosure is generally directed to a drive mechanism for use in a drug delivery device having a cylindrical cartridge, i.e. a handheld injection device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The drive mechanism includes a base element, a toothed piston rod, which is guided within and movable relative to the base portion, and a drive gear having a pinion, which is rotatably held in the base element and in meshed engagement with the toothed piston rod. The toothed piston rod includes multiple rigid rod pieces which are connected by hinges. The rigid rod pieces comprise a flat plate provided with a straight toothed rack.
MULTIPLE USE DISPOSABLE INJECTION PEN
A medication injection pen, including a housing, a dose set knob (DSK) comprising an internal key, and a dose stop member engaging the dose set knob. Rotation of the dose set knob to set a medication dose causes rotation of the dose stop member with respect to the dose set knob, and when the dose set knob is rotated to a last dose setting position, the dose stop member rotationally abuts the internal key thereby preventing further rotational movement of the dose set knob in a dose setting direction.
Drug cartridge with drive system
Drive systems for a drug delivery device are provided. The drive systems can be positioned within a container that stores a liquid drug to be delivered to a user. The drive systems can be coupled to a plunger positioned within the container. The drive systems can be incrementally advanced to drive the plunger further into the container, thereby expelling a portion of the stored liquid drug from the container for delivery to the user. The container can be any type of container including a pre-filled, standardized drug cartridge. The drive systems and container can be components of a wearable drug delivery device.
