Catheter valve
The present invention relates to a catheter valve for use with a catheter. The catheter valve comprises an inlet nozzle at a front end of the valve and an outlet nozzle at a rear end of the valve. The valve comprises a longitudinal stem encapsulated within a middle section of the valve which extends in between the front end and the rear end of the valve. The longitudinal stem is divided into a front end and a rear end by a rib and an O-ring is inserted into the front end of the stem; and a resilient means is inserted into the rear end of the stem; the front end of the longitudinal stem further comprises sectional longitudinal grooves which cuts across the longitudinal and cylindrical stem extending from a head end of the front end of the stem up till the rib of the stem and the head end is curved inwardly in between each sectional longitudinal groove; and the rear end of the longitudinal stem further comprises sectional longitudinal grooves which cuts across the longitudinal and cylindrical stem in a triangular form extending from a head end of the rear end of the stem up till a bottom interface of the rib.
CATHETER MAINTAINING BLOOD FLOW BY VEIN BYPASS
A catheter (1) and vein repair method that enables vein repair surgeries without any bleeding and without hindering blood flow in veins through bypassing the blood flow in the vein to be operated and by preventing any diseases arisen due to stop of blood flow of the organ fed by the associated vein and that sustains blood flow by means of vein bypass in the course of vascular surgeries implemented for surgical processes related to veins in human body and that comprises one balloon (3) on each point close to its both ends, protective layer (4) positioned on the balloons (3); second path (5) enabling deflation inflation of the balloons (3), having monolithic pipe shape adhered to the first path (2) side by side, whose one open end terminates within the balloon (3); check valve apparatus (7) that is monolithic with back end of the second path (5) and provides substances such as air and liquid with the injector for inflation deflation of the balloon (3); protective segment (6) surrounding externally the first path (2) and second path (5), thus preventing their blockage when compressed, that may have various lengths from back end of the balloon (3) to the backside of the catheter (1), that is monolithic along with the first path (2) and the second path (5); cover (8) that prevents the catheter apparatus (1) going out of the vein or its movement, that is located on body side of the catheter apparatus (1), positioned on back of the balloon (3), that can be moved over the catheter apparatus (1) as it is wider than body of the catheter apparatus (1), that has flexible structure having both ends open, that can have the shape of funnel or circle or ellipsis or different shapes; clamping apparatus (9) used to fix the cover on its relevant location; at least one third path (10) in the shape of pipe with both ends open, whose one end is positioned within first path (2), other end is located out of first path (2) and used to draw the liquid or air; connection apparatus (11) that is integrated with outer back end of third path (10) and that enables connection with the external injector and the catheters.
VACUUM-BASED COMPLIANCE RESTORATION
A compliance restoration device includes a compliance balloon lumen, a chamber support structure disposed in the compliance balloon lumen and configured to expand to support an expanded volume of the compliance balloon lumen, and a spring assembly configured to cause the chamber support structure to expand by applying a force on a first end of the chamber support structure.
Weeping balloon catheter with drug delivery through dilation balloon
A weeping balloon catheter includes a catheter having an elongate tubular body defining a medical device lumen and a liquid delivery lumen. A dilation balloon is disposed at a distal end of the elongate tubular body and is in fluid communication with the liquid delivery lumen. The dilation balloon includes a fluid communication channel through an outer wall of the dilation balloon. A flow restriction member is positioned along the fluid communication channel and has an open position permitting fluid communication along the fluid communication channel and a closed position blocking fluid communication along the fluid communication channel. A drug delivery path of the weeping balloon catheter is defined by the liquid delivery lumen and the dilation balloon.
BLADDER CATHETER FOR THE MINIMALLY INVASIVE DISCHARGE OF URINE
The invention is directed to a device in the form of a tube or catheter for draining and/or sealing a natural or artificial bladder outlet, comprising a shaft body that can be applied from extracorporeal into a bladder of the patient, as well as a balloon that surrounds the shaft body like a cuff and is placed in the bladder for the purpose of a vesical anchoring of the shaft body in the bladder, wherein the shaft body, which is produced by means of molding, is having a profile with a wavy corrugation, providing the shaft body with a radial stability and with a kink-free axial bending property.
Pressure relief for a catheter balloon device
An inflation device for selectively inflating a balloon of a surgical instrument including a syringe, a connector, a mechanical pressure indicator, and a relief port. The syringe includes a plunger slidably disposed within a barrel. The connector fluidly connects an outlet of the syringe with a surgical instrument balloon to establish a closed inflation system between the syringe and an interior of the balloon. The mechanical pressure indicator is associated with the syringe and configured to transition from a non-alert state to an alert state when a pressure of the inflation system has reached a predetermined level. The relief port is associated with the mechanical pressure indicator and configured to relieve a pressure of the inflation system when the system at least reaches the predetermined level.
VALVE SYSTEM FOR INFLATABLE MEDICAL DEVICE
The present invention relates to a valve system for an inflatable portion of an indwelling medical device and more particularly to a valve system for fluid regulation of a catheter comprising a fluid inflatable portion that undergoes pressure changes within the body during use.
Kyphoplasty system and method
A kyphoplasty system disclosed herein includes various instruments which can be selectively used to perform a kyphoplasty operation on a patient. For example, in some embodiments the kyphoplasty system includes an inflation plunger that is used to deliver a balloon inflation medium to enlarge an implantable balloon device. Further, some embodiments described herein include a connection system between the implantable balloon device and its delivery shaft that is simple to construct and easy to use. For example, in some embodiments one or more sutures are used to releasably connect the implantable balloon device to its delivery shaft.
Stretch Valve Balloon Catheter and Methods for Producing and Using Same
A safety balloon catheter includes a catheter having a stretch valve, a connector, a balloon inflated with an inflation fluid, a hollow inflation lumen extending through the catheter to the balloon and conveying inflation fluid thereto and therefrom, a hollow second lumen, and a balloon drainage port fluidically connecting the balloon to the second lumen. The stretch valve has a hollow base fixed in the second lumen at a proximal catheter end and shaped to permit a fluid therethrough and a hollow plug slidably positioned in the second lumen at a given distance from the base to, in a steady state, prevent inflation fluid from passing through the drainage port and, when actuated, slide within the second lumen to permit inflation fluid to pass through the drainage port and into the second lumen. The connector connects the base and the plug and has a length greater than the given distance.
