The present invention relates to a disposable delivery assembly for a drug delivery device to dispense a liquid medicament, the delivery assembly comprising: a disposable injector comprising an injection needle, a flexible tube and an injector fluid coupling, wherein the injection needle is in fluid communication with the fluid coupling via the flexible tube, a disposable cartridge comprising a reservoir at least partially filled with the liquid medicament and comprising a cartridge fluid coupling in fluid communication with the reservoir, wherein the injector and the cartridge are mechanically interconnected in an undeployed configuration, in which the injector fluid coupling and the cartridge fluid coupling are disconnected, and wherein the cartridge is displaceable relative to the injector into a deployed configuration, in which the injector fluid coupling and the cartridge fluid coupling are in fluid communication.

Injection device

The invention relates to a needle delivery device comprising a device body; one or more skin pinching members attached to the device body, the skin pinching members being moveable to pinch a longitudinal fold of skin of a patient. The device also comprises a drive mechanism configured to drive a needle out of the device body and along a needle path into the longitudinal fold of skin pinched between the pinching members, and subsequently withdraw the needle, the needle path extending substantially parallel to the surface of the patient.

Liquid medicine injection device

The present invention discloses a liquid medicine injection device that is attached to a patient's body to inject liquid medicine such as insulin at an appropriate time. A liquid medicine injection device according to the present invention includes: a case; a liquid medicine tank that is disposed in the case and where liquid medicine is received; an electro-osmosis pump that is connected with the liquid medicine tank and moves the liquid medicine; a needle assembly that receives the liquid medicine by being connected to the electro-osmosis pump and injects the received liquid medicine into a human body; and an adhesive member combined to the case and attached to the human body.

MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE

The present disclosure relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing, a reservoir for medicament disposed in the housing and a dispensing member. The dispensing member is moveable relative to the housing from a first position to a second position to dispense medicament from the reservoir when the reservoir contains medicament. The medicament delivery device further comprises first and second biasing members. The first biasing member is configured to urge the dispensing member from the first position to an intermediate position. The second biasing member is configured to urge the dispensing member from the intermediate position to the second position.

DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE CASSETTE

A drug delivery device may include a cassette with a needle assembly and a cartridge. The cassette is configured to couple and decouple from a reusable module. The device may also comprise an orientation mechanism to orient the cassette in relation to another device, such as a reusable housing. The device may comprise an extendable and retractable needle assembly. The cassette configuration is adapted to have a stopper with a short travel (no more than 14 mm) to deliver 1 mL of medication. The cassette may have a ratio of height to diameter from 2:1 to 1:1. The cassette may include a pair of drivable interfaces for being driven to actuate the stopper to expel medication and to drive the needle assembly between a retracted and extended configuration for controlled fluid communication between the needle and reservoir.

Communication accessory for a drug delivery device

A medicament delivery assembly comprises a delivery device configured to deliver medicament to a user, a communication accessory releasably coupled to the delivery device, and one or more sensors configured to sense a condition of the delivery device. The communication accessory may be configured to receive a first signal from the one or more sensors assembly and to send a second signal to an external device.

AUTO-INJECTOR AND RELATED METHODS OF USE

An auto-injector may include a housing having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis, the housing having a shorter dimension along the transverse axis than along the longitudinal axis, wherein the transverse axis is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis; a flowpath having a first end and a second end; and a container enclosing a first fluid, the container extending from a first end toward a second end along or parallel to the longitudinal axis and being movable from a first position to a second position along or parallel to the longitudinal axis, the container being fluidly isolated from the flowpath in the first position and fluidly connected to the flowpath in the second position.

Infusion bump capture needle shield

An infusion device includes a base for removably coupling to a fluid deliver device, a needle hub supporting an introducer needle and a catheter for delivering a substance to a patient. The infusion device includes a needle shield for covering the introducer needle after inserting the catheter into the patient. The needle shield includes a leg with a latching tab to couple to the coupling of the base until the legs spring outward to release the coupling. The legs have inwardly extending overlapping arms with an aperture receiving the introducer needle. A spring guard is formed on the needle shield and is spring biased inwardly toward the introducer needle to contact the arms. The introducer needle is retracted to release the arms allowing the arms to spring outwardly to disengage from the coupling of the base and to enable spring guard to spring inwardly to cover the tip of the introducer needle.

Needle insertion-retraction system having dual torsion spring system

An insertion/retraction mechanism for a drug delivery device is disclosed. The insertion/retraction mechanism includes a retraction hub, an insertion hub, an insertion/retraction mechanism housing, and a dual torsion spring system. The retraction hub includes a first primary rotational stop and a second primary rotational stop extending radially inwardly from an inside surface. The insertion hub is disposed inside the retraction hub and comprises a first complementary rotational stop and a second complementary rotational stop extending radially outwardly from an outside surface. The dual torsion spring system causes the first primary rotational stop and the second primary rotational stop to selectively engage the first complementary rotational stop and the secondary rotational stop, respectively, and further causes the retraction hub to rotate relative to the insertion/retraction mechanism housing as the insertion/retraction mechanism moves between an initial position, an inserted position, and a retracted position.

In some embodiments a system and method are described for safeguarding a hazard. The hazard, for example a needle point, may be moved between a protected retracted position, an active extended position and/or an intermediate position. Optionally in the retracted position, the hazard may be protected inside a housing. Optionally in the extended position, the hazard may be exposed. Optionally, in the intermediate position the hazard may be partially protected and/or concealed, for example by a shield and/or in an indentation. In some embodiments, compromising a shield causes the hazard to be retracted to the retracted position.
